Why I Converted From Islam to Christianity.
opera.comMar 14, 2020 3:03 AM

I converted from Islam to Christianity simply because Islam gives no guarantee of salvation. Because Islam recognises that Jesus is 'the word of God' so God "the Messiah therefore the savior ( Surah 3 v 45). Because Allah recognises in the Qur'an that thoe who follow Jesus Christ (Christians)will be above those who do not follow Jesus Christ ( Muslims and others)until resurrection ( surah 3 v 55). Because Qur'an itself recognises that Jesus Christ is without sin (pure) (surah 19 v 19),while the Qur'an asks Mohammed to pray for the forgiveness of his sins ( surah 40 v 55). Unlike Mohammed,Jesus has lived more than 33 years without ever sinning.

I converted because where Mohammed recommends the killing of enemies ( surah 9 v 5) Jesus Christ recommend loving them (Matthew 5 v 44).

Mohammed just affirmed, but Jesus Christ confirmed his words with all kinds of miracles and resurrection of the death.

I converted because Mohammed is asking the Muslims to turn to Christians to get the truth ( surah 10 v 94).

I converted because despite Mohammed's claim to be the seal of the prophets,he is dead and will never return, but Jesus Christ whom I hated before died and resurrected and will come back to fight the Antichrist ( even according to Islam).

I converted because despite Jesus Christ being surrounded by several women,he did not seek to have s*x with them unlike Mohammed who even had sex with Zaynab the wife of his son Zaid, surah (33 v 37).

And also because uptil this day,tye name Jesus delivers all kinds of captivity unlike the name of Mohammed. Because Mohammed recognises that he doesn't know where he and the Muslims will be after death surah ( 46 v 9).

I converted because Mohammed says all Muslims will go through hell (surah 19 v 71) while Jesus Christ gives eternal life to all those who come to him ( heaven) John 3 v 17.

I converted because Jesus never attacked someone to take something from him, while Mohammed claims war booty surah (8 v 1).

I converted because the birth of Jesus Christ changed the whole world and not a community and many more reasons.

So my brother my sister, only Jesus Christ saves. He is the way, truth and life. When I was a Muslim,I believed in everything we were taught about the Christians and the Bible and today that I became a Christian and read the Bible,I realise that what we were told is all wrong.

Jesus was never a Muslim,he is the savior of the world and He loves you and wants to save you. Give your heart to him.

I pray that the Lord God will bless those who share this article.
.

Hmm... For your mind now, you don analyze the real issue ko?

Pls note that the aim of the story is to encourage parents to take proper care of their kids. If I get abused so much,I might be discouraged. If you are a young adult, u might be experiencing this. Romance / Re: She's Pregnant And Wants To Terminate it. by biobash(m): 10:40am On Mar 18, 2020
prazil:
Pardon my English and long easy as am a confused brother.

My girl was complaining of headache and after treating malaria and typhoid it persisted so on her own she did PT test and called yesterday that she think she's pregnant n I ask she go to a clinic and do a confirmatory test which she did and it came out positive.

Our Background
I am 30 and she is 27. We have been dating for four years now. She combines her education with a job that earns her 85k. She is currently in her first semester HND two.
I am running my masters and hustles where I earn about 120k per month.
Am the only child of my parent where as she is the first child of her parent with 2 other sibling.
Am from the middle belt while she is from the east. We live in the far north where the cost of living is a little lower compared to other region.

The problem
I we spoke at length today and she feels she can't keep the pregnancy.
She among some of her reasons are
Her education as she would be rounding up this year.
Her parent would be disappointed and she wouldn't want them to be disappointed.
She said is not sure she can face the shame that would come with the pregnancy.

I sincerely want her to keep the pregnancy as age is not really on our side and we would be taking a life We can't create. But I also understand I can't force her.
May I mention that her parent insisted she finished education before giving her hand out in marriage so the long dating period.

Am sincerely worried and scared for her. As she is seriously considering terminating the pregnancy and I want otherwise but she thinks am just been selfish as am not putting her into consideration.

Sincerely I don't see how am been selfish. We agreed we would be meeting Tomorrow to talk about it.

Please your advice would be well appreciated as I would be happy if she can keep it or at least point out reason why I should support her in terminating the pregnancy.
Thanks in advance

I am happy that you're ready to accept the responsibility. School her on the negative sides of abortion, she can stay in school throughout the period... This maybe her only chance of conceiving. I have heard of several cases of couple terminating pregnancy with unreasonable reasons and when the time comes to start having babies, the woman has been unable to conceive.

Try as much possible to convince her even if it means you will be giving her weekly or monthly allowance. You really need to let her know you'r ready to support her through the whole pregnancy and even more. I hope she change her mind.

Keldom:
Good day everyone, I'm an old Nairalander but created this account to pour out the tears flowing from my heart over these years. As I type this, my heart is heavy, very heavy. Life is totally unfair and has somehow become too gloomy recently.
Before I entered school, I had planned to be a lecturer or someone who impacts knowledge for the greater good of the society. So I chose an education course and vowed to make first class in order to make it easier to get to my dreams.

At the University, I struggled through school because I partly trained myself and because of this I could only make 2:1 (CGPA 4.2). Since then I've been unable to secure a job, but I do some hustles and have taught in private schools around. But it's nothing because this schools pay as less as 20,000.
As the first of 8 children, what I make rarely get into my pocket. I will have to send to my poor parents in the village and cater for my younger ones. I've continued to push life believing things will get better someday. I apply for jobs, sometimes I get invites, sometimes I don't. Some jobs that I know I merit because of my performance in the interview, you will be surprised I won't be called. Some are clearly bought with money even in my presence.

I'm tired of everything. I thought hardwork in school would have paved way for me knowing the kind of family I came from, and what lies ahead. I feel so down right now. Five years down the line, I'm unemployed and my dream of becoming a lecturer seem not feasible anymore. Just recently my landlord called me and reminded me I've not paid last year rent. I'm tired and giving up about everything.

Pls I need help out of this dilemma. My prayers are simple. Help me with a good job that I can save, do my masters and PhD and get a lecturing job. If the lecturing won't be possible, at least let me be comfortable and help my family. Help me dry this tears in my eyes. Even if not for me, for the sake of my younger ones who look up to me for help and support, my aging mum and people around me. There's tears in my heart anytime I can't help when they are in need.

I can do a lot, I learn very fast, I can manage your organization/establishments, I can mange social media accounts, I can do anything with minimal tutoring about it. Please help me anyway you can.
God bless you.

Apply for scholarships... China, Germany and so on.

To keep this story short. My friend is currently engaged to his fiancee' with hope for marriage come December.

Last week he met a lady on a popular social media.
They instantly started talking, with daily video chat. She suddenly fell in love with him and paid a visit, spending two night in his house.

She always compliments how good looking he is and don't know how she fell for him instantly.

Though he had told her that he's engaged at the time they met online but she said that she likes him. She often cry that it hurts knowing that someone she loves so much is engaged to another.

They made out sometime which made my friend feel bad. As she made the advances. Eventually she decided to take the bull by the horn by telling him that it hurts to know that he won't date her and for that reason she regrets cos her heart hurts.

She refuses picking up his call

Please Nairaland, what can he do cos he don't want to hurt her feelings. She's a good girl and quick to fall in love.

He has no plan to loose his fianceé

All this happened within 1 week.

Because of one week enjoyment? The best thing is to let the new lady go. He should withdraw himself from her. They can be friends and nothing more.

ThaThinka:
They say two (good) heads are better than one. I was hoping I could find some people with good heads here to advise on a matter cheesy - I don't want to ask relatives to avoid bias.

So the dude is old enough and people have been disturbing him for years to get married despite his fears about the financial implications.

The main problem is that I still don't have a regular job and trying to figure what to do with my life. :OWhat I do currently only gives me enough to take care of my expenses at the moment.

Now, there's a lady friend who's been telling me this is not an issue and shows willingness to support. She has joined the people who tell me things might improve after I get marry. But I figure that her reasoning might be because age is not that much on her side - I'm sorry to think that way actually.

To say the truth, it is her seeming understanding that makes me to be considering her as someone I could marry. But I'm worried that what if all that turns out to be a farce after marriage.

My financial status is the main reason (but probably not the only one) why I'm leaning more towards this lady. I'm now wondering whether I should just overlook this consideration and wait until things improve, although a question here is when?

For now, I think God has taken care of our basic needs for up to a year if we were to get married now, even if we both don't work. I'm trying to believe that things will improve along the way, which is why I just want to start somewhere. After all, I didn't necessarily have the money I spend today several years ago.

I'm rather confused right now if I could regret it later if I decided to let this lady go. What do you advise, please?

Get married in a low-key, adjust you spending based on your earnings. Don't buy things you do not need. Always prioritize.

Good luck.

I waited till this January 2020 I travel home..she visited me..in the night I told her I want to see her phone, her phone is on password.i ask her to unlock it and she refuse..the phone I bought for her..I ignored her that night. the next day, I ask her again to unlock the phone for me she refuse while she knows everything about my own phone, I told her my password..I keep on telling her to unlock her phone, the next thing she did was to hit her phone on the wall in my present, and the phone broke into pieces for me not to see her chats with friends...to cut it short, I finally found out she's cheating on me... And pleaded me to forgive her that it was not intentionally.. I want to quit.

Kuns84:
I'm a medical doctor by profession and completed my residency over a year ago. However, I'm currently frustrated with the state of things in this country. I work endlessly, shuffling between a public hospital here in Lagos as well as also doing some consulting on the side in a private hospital – all to make ends meet.

Many of my fellow medical practitioners have relocated abroad and are all doing tremendously well for themselves earning fat salaries. My friends have tirelessly encouraged me to also make that move but for the past 3 years now, I’ve be peddling a lie that I’m 'comfortable' here in Nigeria. What many don’t know is that MY WIFE is the main reason why I’ve not been able to even attempt the exams not to talk of passing and eventually relocating.

Her reasons?

I have an elder brother who currently lives in the UK – he’s an engineer doing incredibly well for himself. He is married to a fellow Nigerian who is a naturalised citizen abroad but here’s the problem, my wife cannot stand the thought of moving to the UK because of an ongoing issue with my brother’s wife. I can’t go into much detail lest I digress, but my wife has always had this inferiority complex that my sister in-law will look down on her because she was raised abroad and comes from a wealthy home. These two have never gotten along from the very beginning and things have deteriorated to the point that this has affected my relationship with my bro. I personally like my brother’s wife, she’s an intelligent and down to earth lady and we got along so well until I met and married my wife. My brother and I have both tried to get our wives to reconcile but to no avail and now that I could potentially move abroad, this matter has been a major stumbling block affecting my ability to forge ahead in life.

Every time I try to talk sense into my wife, she flares up and refuses to admit the truth, rather she’d claim that her reasons for not wanting to move abroad is because “the grass isn’t greener on the other side”, “people are suffering abroad”, “she’s comfortable with her job here in Nigeria” etc.. but deep down we both know that she doesn’t want to give my sister-in law the satisfaction of seeing us move to the UK for a better life – coupled with the fact that we might have to squat with them for a while before finding my feet.

I am depressed but do a fantastic job at hiding it but the truth is, It breaks my heart every time yet another colleague of mine relocates abroad with his family and then tells me of how conformable life is over there and how much doctors are being paid – it’s not that I’m jealous, I genuinely feel happy for my guys, but just can’t help but feel stuck and unfulfilled with how things are going in my career and personal life.

OP, if she doesn't want to squat, then you alone can go and she can join you later, and if you feel it is important she go with you, then you can consider other countries like Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

If as a man, in this generation, you don't know that marrying a virgin lady is the only way to avoid infidelity in your home, then be prepared to die young as a husband.

A woman who got married a VIRGIN can NEVER cheat so long as you are still sexually active as a husband, I keep saying this over and over again with authority.

She will NEVER cheat! You don't expect a non-virgin lady who has tasted all kinds and sizes of preeeq, styles of sex and other sexual related experiences to stick to your sexual prowess alone just like that. You don't!

Men should open their eyes and save themselves the stress and problems of infidelity. Go for virgins if you want a peaceful marriage.

Really? smiley smiley smiley

marrying a virgin doesn't mean she can't cheat. Let her try have a different taste, then gobe will shele.
