Oyin-Zubair Donates Bags to Alma Mater in Commemoration of 40th Anniversary of Elerin on Throne

Kayode Oyin-Zubair, the Senior Special Assistant on Community Interventions to Kwara State Governor, donated school bags to Erin-Ile Secondary School on Tuesday as part of his promises and commitment to give back to the community that helped him grow.

He claimed the gift was in honour of His Royal Majesty, Elerin of Erin-ile, Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Ibrahim’s 40th anniversary on the throne and his 80th birthday.

Oyin-Zubair said the traditional ruler’s reign has brought remarkable developmental strides to the people by promoting values, harmonious living, tolerance for divergence with peaceful coexistence among other communities, and thus his decision to honor him accordingly.

He remarked during his visit to the celebrant’s palace, noting that, ”We are here to celebrate and rejoice with you on your 80th birthday, and I’m happy for you, I could remember when you were celebrating your 15th anniversary, I was the one that interviewed you on our assembly at Erin-ile secondary school, then.”

“I can assure you that the economic of Erin-ile would soon be boosted as we are planning for a community project and capacity building that will capture the interest of our people under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration.”

He, therefore, prayed to the Almighty God to grant the royal father longer life, good health, and wisdom to keep serving the good people of Erin-ile and environs.

Kayode Ismail Tijjani (Member, Federal House of Representative) amongst other.

It was indeed a colourful event, to be rounded up with a thanksgiving service at the C & S movement church, Erin-Ile.

I really need an advice. I currently work with one of the Nigerian banks. My monthly take home is about 450k and quite good. My major problem right now is that I have just been transferred from a Branch at one end of Lagos to another end of Lagos. You can test the waters by start it alongside your job and see how you will fare, even if it is only on weekend basis. Looking for an apartment close to your work place might not be visible due to the expenses you will incur.

THE LAST CHAPTER

Lilian drove into my compound and then I led her quietly to my apartment. A decent 2 bedroom flat that I had decorated to my taste over the few years.

As I got to my flat I noticed all the lights were on. I usually put my lights off before leaving every morning so I started wondering what could be happening. It was when I tried using the Key that I observed that the door had been locked from inside. Damn! Not tonight.

The only person that could be inside was my long distance girlfriend that was serving (NYSC) at Brass Island in Bayelsa. She was the only person that had a spare key and she didn’t call to say she was coming so who could be inside. My heart was thumping fast. Lilian too was looking at me confused and wondering what was happening.

The long distance relationship I had with Halima had not been too forthcoming as she most times couldn’t come over to Abuja and the last she came was almost 6 months ago when she was enroute Bayelsa for NYSC orientation camp.
Why would Halima just show up without telling me. As I was thinking of my next move, the door flew open.

“ Ah Halima, when you did you come” was all I could muster.
“ I wanted to surprise you since next tomorrow is your birthday” she said glancing past me to look at Lilian with inquisitive eyes.

The following weeks at work came and went as usual with loads of work to do. I didn’t get a call from neither Lilian nor Halima. I think due to his upbringing, job, surroundings and friends he found himself, it is a bit difficult for him to pray the 5 daily prayers. He wakes up for Tahajud and prays Jumah but the 5 daily prayers seems difficult to catch up with.

The progress isn't too visible and improving.
