what works when you are in opposition will not work when you get into power. all those brash statements Bakare makes, he will have to account for them were he the VP. The newspapers and PDP would have a field day and nothing will get done.

I think you are right, they are all White Racist South African on Nairaland
they have give-aways in the way they speak afrikaans and it is translating into their writing. and as you also noted earlier, every now and then they post stuff that appears to be pro-white in a slavish way right after posting stuff that seemed strongly pro-black. These guys just jumped on the bandwagon hoping to inflame stuff even more. I hope Zuma and his folk wake up!

ProgrammingRe: Is Copy-paste Programming Good? by birdman(m): 6:16am On May 01, 2015
something about physically typing out the code changes how your brain absorbs new information. even if you are copying, still endeavour to type it. it slows you down long enough to think about what you are doing

To be honest, I wanted to read a lot more about it (the battle in Ore). I have been hearing bits and pieces about it my whole life. Especially the danger to civilians and civilian casualty. It appears the soldiers all survived, but the townspeople, I believe were the worse off. Or is that the towns the Biafrans passed through on the way to Ore?

I like his assessment of Buhari, which is in line with what most objective people who have dealt with the general also say.
smh...i wonder why no one thought about compiling a war library. maybe not to inflame an already tense situation

What a series. This could easily have been the final
maybe not. one thing is these two teams match up very well. even the coaching. carlisle and the mavs would have done well against either of these two teams too. they took the spurs to game 7 last year(?) as a seventh seed

^dont forget lionel hollins. that guy is the reason the grizzlies are contenders every year for the last 5 years or so. built that team up and gave it his identity. they still have it even though he is gone. Now it looks like he is doing the same for the nets. hawks need to be careful. The grizz once won a playoff series vs the spurs (in 6 games) in a year they had no business doing so, on account of Lionel Hollins coaching. The nets could do the same here.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 1:15pm On Apr 28, 2015
thibodeau is a long time assistant of jeff van gundy. and they both have the same coaching weakness. overemphasis on defense, to the point that they think great defense will generally sort out offense. When players have a scoring drought, both of them scream at players to play harder on defense because they believe the shots will eventually fall. It cost JVG his job in Houston, even with tmac and yao. And it will cost Thibodeau his job too, even with drose and gasol. I hate the fact that they are both so stubborn and refuse to change, even when it is painfully obvious to everyone that they need an assistant coach who can draw up creative plays for the offense.

i see folk already saying dump this, dump that. Look, if we all decide to worship amadioha or ogun or become atheist tomorrow, our problems will remain, because our minds and hearts have not changed. People are wasting too much time on things that do not matter...why does other people's opinion of you bend you so much out of shape? Do you have no self-respect?

On this same nairaland, i have seen one ethnic african group lie on and wipe out the livelihood of another black man, because he expressed his opinion and happened to be from another ethnic group. They would never do this to non-africans. I have kings ordering killings if immigrants who do not self deport. Of course this only applies to the african immigrants. And when the time came to elect a honest leader to try and steer ship, see "progressives" that had been talking about corruption suddenly bail and go tribalistic. even when it was painfully obvious that the current situation was not working.

And someone is proposing that religion is the reason? abeg talk something else

finally got to watch both his videos. as someone who thought exactly the same way some years back, most of his premise is wrong. The bible is not a western book or religion. It may have been brought to you by westerners, but they only partially imbibed it themselves. i find lots of thoughtful young folk who are unable to get past history to see facts for what they really are. eh...it is what it is.

The hell on earth is not God's doing. Man has been given dominion over the earth, and no one, God or devil can interfere without permission. The extent to which earth looks like hell is the extent to which man gives the devil consent to operate. The disobedience in the garden was the primal consent, and it has been downhill ever since. Which means when you point those fingers at God, you really are pointing at yourself.

And yes, "Eve" did die when she disobeyed. Eve in quote, because she had another name before she died. But that is a story for another day. All physical events have a spiritual root, like a seed growing into a tree. And that day, they both did die spiritually, and it would manifest in physical death as their new lord reigned over them.

When she calls the police you do the same, when they arrive tell them she attacked you and you want to press charges aswel, the officer will then go to her and tell her your situation and tell her that she will be arrested for abuse then she will drop the charges, I've seen this work several times with silly neighbors it sucks because some of the men are really guilty and they know how the law works and how to use it to get out if a situation like spousal abuse.
im glad you have seen it work, because I have never seen it work. the dude has to be literally bleeding for this to work

This is the problem with alot of people who believe everything they are told instead of doing some research on their own.
you should take your own advice. what lawanson heard is indeed the truth. the law is designed to shield women from wife beaters. In order to give women the confidence to come forward, the law was tilted such that you do not need a burden of proof to convict a wife beater. Normally this should be a good thing, because there are indeed many unrepentant wife batterers out there. Unfortunately, like every other law, loopholes exist and in a bad twist, innocent men who are not world wise are being wiped out. Specifically, there too may stories of men, African especially who have been bullied into submission by their wives, using the law as a bludgeon. The law only has to hear an allegation, and an investigation will be launched. The news of that by itself will cost you your job if your boss hears. The crazy part is that legit violent men STILL do not get caught by the laws on the books.

In this story it is very obvious something is amiss. None of it makes sense. I think this woman murdered the hubby, hoping to use the laws as a shield. But she went too far. Other women are wiser, and plot their way more discreetly.

Guys what do you think about Scott Brooks getting fired?

It's been 2 days since Scott Brooks kissed the dust in Oklahoma, I feel bad for him some sort and the other part of me does not cos I felt he was unable to coach/ improve Durant or Westbrook, they are pretty much same players with same skill set from when they were drafted, they became larger than his ability to manage both.

The NBA front office would be watching this post season and licking their lips at the future of K. Leonard, J. Butler, A. Davies and the Greek freak in Milwaukee Antetokumbo.
I think Durant/Westbrook saved him for a long time. He has a very short simple playbook, which means he gets outcoached a lot. OKC even without Durant should have had that eight seed. I think this is what ultimately did him in.

You have suddenly become sanctimonious, oblivious of your earlier comments.

Well, you might want to read your comments and teach your self to argue with facts without making smart comments that belittle the intelligence of others, I learn a lot from reading comments, I take my time to read them and understand the writers side of the story, learn some and argue those I refute if it is worth it, when I am wrong, I don't fail to accept.

Do yourself some good to read my rebuttals to you, you might learn some so you don't argue blindly next time.

It's not my intention to come across as rude, if I have, please accept my apologies, no grudges we are both grown men..
very well then, no grudges either and my apologies too. much props to you for apologizing first, regardless who is right. back to d playoffs...

rondo is a cancer, dang, my dallas lost out in the first round, certainly thought we would compete deep when the season first started, but after the traders, jameer, jae, wright and a first round pick everything went downhill. I have to say, danny ainge played cuban on that one. Rondo is a stat stuffer, but he has been exposed after those injury. You have no business being dominant with the ball in your hands if you shoot 40% from the free throw line. That is abnormal. Wth. Dude is an egoistical asshole.

Did anyone watch the game today? dallas played better than they have played since after the rondo trade. I hated that trade and questioned it from the very beginning. Monta played his best ball also after the trade, even dirk somewhat, Aminu. I cant believe it.

Dont think rondo would get another job anymore. You have no business being the PG if you shoot 40% free throw. He gets fouled and cant make his shot at all, or defenders back off him and defend other players and dare him to shoot which he never makes. Patrick Beverly is a better shooter than this dude. Unbelievable.

I am pissed
you cant blame Dallas for taking a chance with Rondo. Houston did the same thing with Josh Smith. Without him, we likely die in the second round. Same for Dallas. That deal is too tantalizing to pass up. I dont think Rondo is egotistical.. The standoffish exterior is a way to hid the fact that he cares. You should have seen him looking lost in the locker room after game 2. In other words, he still is basically a child. sometimes you make a deal and hit the jackpot, other times...well you just have to suck it up
