Its been the most frustrating period of my membership on this forum, not because I have continuously been unjustly banned by some robotic system but the fact that we clearly have docile and irresponsible MODS managing this forum.

Severally over the past four days, I have attempted to communicate my problems with MODS on this section and the general forum section, I even have a post on that section in anticipation that someone would kindly explain this persecution or help with unbanning my handle yet no acknowledgement of my grievances worth more cogent explanations, it is very saddening.

who do you guys have for the championship? cant really say cavs or gsw, lebron is playing out of his mind and so is the splash brothers
Im thinking warriors. They have a ridiculously deep team, and lots of energy guys that can match up against vallevadova, thomas and the other scrubs. Kyrie wont be healthy enough so I dont see him doing much to slow Curry.

Wake up to what is going on. What do you think about this?
to be "fair", the plan calls for blowing up boats while they are still at port, not when they are loaded with people in the middle of the ocean. Obviously it is still possible to kill innocents who may be in the boat at port, but if indeed the boats can be destroyed before refugees get in, i really cant blame them on this.

you have to wonder though, if those boats get sabotaged on purpose on the high seas, who would know?

Back to the issue in question, the pejorative 'conspiracy theory' was actually invented by the cia to 'rubbish' any critical and independent thinking/opinion about its shadowy and in many instances, illegal activities.
Yes. but the intelligence community took it one step further. It is impossible to keep activities secret forever. So instead of stopping the eventual leak, several other stories are leaked. The idea is to muddy the waters so that the real conspiracy is buried behind fabricated conspiracy theories. This is why I am always skeptical of conspiracy theories. The sheer 99% of them will be false and the truth will go under the radar. Which means you will almost certainly miss what is actually happening.

In reality, there's nothing theoretical about criminal activities that have been cleverly executed by conspirators without leaving any trail behind. These are conspiracy facts!
If indeed no trail was left behind, then there is no way to verify your facts. So it could either be you are chasing the cleverest criminal in the world, or you are chasing nothing. If it is the cleverest criminal, by definition you are not smart enough to defeat him, otherwise YOU would be the cleverest. If it is nothing, you just wasted precious energy and time.

The actual truth is no one is smart enough to not leave a trail. Not if they are human. So I will maintain that ignoring conspiracy theories is the best path forward.

Whoaa! And there I was thinking you liked Lebron.

Anyway you have to wonder if the Cavs are so good or the Hawks are so bad. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Whatever happens if the Cavs keep getting solid contributions from guys like Smith, Thompson, Dellavedova and Mozgov they definitely have a chance

The Warriors would do well to finish off the Rockets tonight. The last thing they need is to drag this series longer than necessary and having to deal with a Cavs team riding high on confidence
im a lebron fan, but i think the cavs have gotten to the top by luck of the draw. not taking anything away from lebron's performance but this is the most unconvincing ECF champion imo.

maybe if i observe my usual rituals the rockets win another and make it 3-2. I can dream smiley

I see the Cavs completing the sweep tonight. That Game 3 loss was just too crushing a blow
Looks like it. The cavs are playing loose cuz they are up 3-0 and the hawks are second guessing their shots. Which is why scrub players on the cavs are looking like all stars angry Funny thing is how Lebron is feeling bold because there is no pressure tongue. Im rooting for the warriors next round - i dont want thomas and vallevadova getting a ring. dudes are already feeling too cocky

Hmmmn,.... you call them 'conspiracy theories', alas, you're the gullible one.

Read this:

The extreme irrationality of those who attack “conspiracy theories” has been ably exposed by Communications professors Ginna Husting and Martin Orr of Boise State University. In a 2007 peer-reviewed article entitled “Dangerous Machinery: ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ as a Transpersonal Strategy of Exclusion,” they wrote:

“If I call you a conspiracy theorist, it matters little whether you have actually claimed that a conspiracy exists or whether you have simply raised an issue that I would rather avoid… By labeling you, I strategically exclude you from the sphere where public speech, debate, and conflict occur.”

So you see, you're the one who needs to take a leave off the 'kool-aid' you've been fed with the lying slime media and get the real truths from GenBuhari and others exposing the lies passing off as news in the mainstream.

Smh!
I will read this article when i get the chance, but I get its gist.

This doesnt change the fact that your opinion on what you think will happen partly due to this fuel crisis is some kind of takeover plot. You have no evidence, or even whispers to back you up. You are essentially "mind reading" and trying to arrange pieces to fit. This is dangerous and you should avoid it. At the very least, it clouds your judgement and prevents you from making rational choices when real conspiracies actually happen.

Case in point - we had a chance to remove an openly corrupt and unserious leader and replace him with an ascetic stern man, and as I remember, your refusal to jump on Buhari's side of the fence was not because of something you saw in his character or his record. You basically had a theory on who you thought he actually worked for! If every Nigerian thought like this, we would have been in for four more years of hell, just because at the practical moment of truth we were wallowing in theories!

GenBuhari:
What OP says, is very possible.

The only certainty is that Buhari would not be allowed by America to gain power.

America and her allies have been robbing us blind for 17 years since the assassinated Abacha by poisoning, it may not be beyond the realms of possibility that several trillions of dollars have been stolen from us by America and her allies.

They are not content are current engineering the break up Nigeria so they can help themselves to our untapped natural resources.

The only uncertainty is when (and how) America would remove Buhari.

One possibility is a military coup just before handover.

This would cause a constitutional crisis and may give the excuse for NATO to enter and complete the balkanisation of Nigeria.

Have you wondered why Jonathan has not had any televised interviews since the election? America cannot allow him to make a gaff that may reveal what they may be planning.

I saw an interview prior to the elections where GEJ gaffed while denying suggestions of an Interim Government , suggested that the military may "try something"

Birdman just winding us. How can you say the Cavs were going to drop this series after going 2-up on the road
bros, you watched the game now. can you point to anything the cavs have done well in the last 3 games that makes them win 3 in a row against the hawks? Nothing! its literally lebron playing superman. and in my own mind, there is no way one dude can play well and win 3 in a row for his team, talk less 4. Anybody that says they saw the cavs up 3-0 at this point is lying. I will still be very surprised if the cavs win this 4-0 or even 4-1. it is possible but i would not bet on it. I am a Lebron fan but there is no way he is that good. The Hawks need to suck it up and play their game. tha cavs have no business being in the finals

You just lost the argument there..that argument has been done and dusted long ago...he might be amongst the greatest but he himself knows he is not the greatest..ask Michael Jordan..
Even Jordan is watching Lebron right now. Best believe Kobe is watching Lebron right now. Becasue no superstar in recent memory has been able to dominate without a partner. The cavs have no business being in the playoffs with no kyrie, no love. Yet they are in ECF after beating a tough Bulls team. The Hawks are like the Warriors, Spurs clones. And teams that are well coached and disciplined dont go down like that.

Here i what I expect. Hawks will bounce back and eventually win this series. I can put money on it! But if somehow (impossible imo) Lebron manages to win this series, the GOAT crown is his. Simples
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 11:03pm On May 24, 2015
I am not surprised the warriors are up 3. People keep underestimating these guys because you see all the pretty shots Curry takes. Watch their rotations guys. They play almost like the spurs. Houston doesnt have its x's and o's down yet. As the series goes on, they learn more of rockets tendencies. Harden and co will find out game 4 will be even harder to win. I will watch the massacre though...cant abandon my boys as the ship goes down

As for Lebron, the dude is flat out the best player in the league, and probably to ever play the game. The Hawks are the most disciplined and technical team in the East, and he made them look like the 8th seed. I said earlier this season that the basketball gods have a surprise for him. In spite of all the injuries to star players and missed time, Lebron is winning against the ball gods. I throway salute!

Me too. However, I think warriors win their 2 home games. Then split on the road. I dont think our superstars can win 4 against GSW, and our bench probably wont light it up every night. Warriors in 5. Which is why I want to see what they do when Ariza, Smith and Brewer are on the floor. That combo is potent. We could steal one in Cali with those 3.

SW never played opposition willingly, circumstances beyond their control always forced them into opposition. Awo wanted to be at the centre, but got burnt by his treachery and was relegated to opposition, he really had no option, and still eyed the centre, hence he committed treason. He never hesitated the moment an opportunity to be at the centre was presented to him by Gowon, he grabbed it with both hands, even if it meant he was to bend to the North.

Tinubu has been in opposition for Years now, he was not there because he wanted to, situation forced him, and once he got the opportunity to be at the centre, even if it meant playing second fiddle to the North, he grabbed it fast.

Don't lecture me about SW opposition politics, as you can see, I know it all.

Awo treason and criminal case wasn't nonsense, he was tried in a court of law, and found guilty. The one who ruled on his case was a Yoruba judge, the one who wanted his political demise was Akintola, the one who wanted his head for trying to usurp his government was Balewa. But somehow, you want us to ignore them all, and hold Zik responsible, simply because Zik was Igbo. Are you for real? You mean Zik should upturn the ruling of a court of law and also defy Balewa and Akintola just to save Awo? Zik must have been a super Man to pull that off.

Awo greed and lust for power dug his grave for him, Zik simply allowed him lie in his grave in Peace. He did no wrong.
you can dance around the facts all you want. we know who went to aso rock at night and came back with a different tune the next day. and we know who has been trying to get in bed with the same north they claim to hate, floating parties and trying to get on the money bandwagon. say what you will, but the steadfastness of SW leaders in refusing to be bribed, even in the face of death is on record, and is the reason we are in the political position we are today. Actions show bravery, not empty words that can be shut down by ghana must go bags.

It's safe to assume based on predictions on this thread that we all anticipated the Rockets were going to pull through, deservedly so if you ask me..

I would hate for CP3 to retire without competing in the conference finals and based on the composition and the talent available in the West it might be safe to predict he might not get there with the Clippers, a pragmatic thought just ran across my mind, how about CP3 moves to East?
Even the east is not safe anymore. They play a slower more deliberate pace, but the top 5 teams out there are very good. I think CP3 would have his hands full with a John Wall, or Kyrie Irving, or even Teague. The talent level in the league right now is such that getting to ECF or WCF is a feat on its own.

I think the Clips will get to the WCF next year They have gotten better each year and Blake Griffin has not hit a ceiling yet. If he learns to to pass out of double teams and make contested 18 footers, the clips would be at another level. I see the spurs and clips winning their divisions and being seed number 1 and 2 next year, making it easier to get to the WCF

Was Awo not found guilty of treason and corrupt practices by a court of justice?

Was Zik Tafawa Balewa that sought to punish Awo for trying to usurp his government? Was Zik the Yoruba judge that presided over the case?

I have noticed this tendency of Yorubas not to challenge the North, even when they are at the receiving end of the North wrath, they find a way to absolve the North of all blames and miraculously find a way to place it on the Igbo.

The North wanted Awo imprisoned in the North, Zik was able to negotiate his imprisonment in the East, fearing he(Awo) might get killed in the north. This is my understanding of the story.

Akintola became the New darling of the North, he was more subservient than Awo, Awo had to be eliminated to make room for Akintola. How exactly was any of that Zik's fault?
Let me take your post in pieces. First off, the issue that we are subservient to the North. In the 50 year history of Nigeria, the opposition has always been primarily from the SW. And in the darkest days of Abacha, as I remember, it was the SW (special mention to Alfred Rewane and Saro Wiwa too) that was bearing the brunt. As I remember, Ojukwu openly did an about turn on June 12, and won back 2 of his houses that had been seized for decades. As Soyinka exclaimed at the brazen betrayal, "oro pesi jeee!". Brother pazienza, where were all the Igbo umbrella groups? Same story when IBB was in power. And Shagari. Say what you will, but it is on record that majority of Yoruba leadership did not bend to the power of ghana-must-go bags in any administration.

On to your next point. The treason claims in which the FG said Awo was working with Nkrumah was nonsense. You know it, Zik knew it, Balewa knew it. And Balewa knew there was no way Awo was going down on such ridiculous charges. For legal nonsense to stick, they needed political backing. Akintola was meant to wrest control from Awo in the West, but he ended up being a minor irritation at best, even with his oratorical skills. And this is where Zik comes in. Without Zik and his party's support, Awo goes nowhere, Yoruba judge or not. (RIP to Adesanya and co who mounted vigorous defense in those dark days) . When Zik gave his political consent, he thought he was on his way to ultimate power, but it backfired. Alas the illterate Northerner was smarter than he calculated! And innocent people died for that mistake. Awo did what he was supposed to do. Protect himself and his people from power mongers.

Getting back to the original point, Nyerere makes great points about the validity of a people self determining their own future. I have no problem with that. Neither does Awo or Yorubas. It is important that every African be his brother's keeper. But lets tell the truth and stop lying on other people to make ourselves look better. You were not innocent actors trying to get their own homeland. You were also part instigators, playing a power game of thrones without considering the cost. And it bit you. And you have ever since been trying to lay the blame at other people's feet. But thank God, the records are still preserved to this day.

Special shout out to all the Nigerians, Igbo or not who are dedicated to seeing the Nigeria and the black race make something of themselves instead of wallowing in hate forever.

the sooner you stop lying to yourself, the better for you. The only reason Awo ended up in jail is because Zik collaborated with the North and impeached him in the House. While in jail, Ojukwu then stops by and asks him to join in their fight. You think Awo is stup1d? Would the North have had the hegemony they possessed if not for Zik and his party? In his greed to wipe out what he thought was his main oppositon, Zik scored an own goal.

I do not condone the religious riots that killed thousands of non muslims, but your attempt to paint yourself as this innocent do-gooder trying to save the christian south is laughable. a40 and sir roland going at it again grin. i think both of you are partly right. yes, mchale did stumble into that 4th quarter lineup. but the decision to load up on CP3 on the pick and roll was coaching genius. apparently once you confuse CP3, the rest of the team become jump shooters. No creators or slashers, not even Griffin

The clippers may have let their guards down for a minute, but you cant sneeze at a 40-15 run. Come game 7, it is win or go home for both teams, so all this issue of heart will be done with. Even though I am a rockets fan, I see the clippers winning because they have a more battle tested team. But the Rockets have loads of talent and could pull off an upset if CP3 doesnt control the tempo.
