A40:agreed. but you could say the same thing of game 1 for the rockets. whoever wins game 7 deserves it imo. I wonder if we will see the lineup with ariza, brewer, smith and howard again. Houston may have stumbled on it by accident, but the length appears to have been unsolvable by the clips. |
GAME 7....hehehe ki la ri leni!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() I am surprised at how well the rockets defended the high pick and roll with CP3 and Griffin. If CP3 keeps the ball, his defender funnels him to the big men Howard and Smith. If Griffin keeps the ball, his defender hedges just a bit, then doubles CP3 in anticipation of Griffin trying to pass the ball back. You would think passing the ball to the weak side for a 3pt would then be easy, but I wonder if the long arms of Smith, Ariza and Howard made that dangerous. I do have to admit it looked like everybody except CP3 mailed it in when 17 up and about 7 minutes to go. Hard to re-energize yourself once your mind is out of the game. |
1st q and it looks like my rockets will be going home tonight. i am at peace ![]() |
tibs finally exposed. just like jvg was. playing hard is not enough. playing with heart is not enough. you need imaginative plays on offense instead of relying on stingy defense all the time. |
OLAADEGBU:what proof do you have to the contrary. if your proof is that they dont look alike, that can be explained by having different mothers. thats my point |
@ewuro the game is where the grizz want it to be. game 5 on the road, the warriors are hot and yet only up by 8. at this point the game is in favor of the grizz. |
you folks realise that while they share the same father, they do not have the same mother. you know that right? hehehehehe ![]() |
Ewuro4:rockets are a bad matchup for LAC. On any given day, they should beat the Clips. They just dont have the defensive discipline and heart of a champion. They played hard last night just to avoid being disgraced. Come thursday rockets will be going home. Btw, am I the only one who really doesnt like Noah? i want to see bulls lose just for that reason alone. |
i think he may have just killed his ally. i wont be surprised if the buffoon is kicked out of office before the years end. |
all the cavs bulls games i have watched so far, i havent seen any evidence of xs and os from blatt. literally lebron is expending energy to power this team to wins. maybe they will beat the bulls, but the hawks or wizards will tear them apart |
rockets need to bury their head in shame. from what i hear, the players werent exactly fans of the hack-a-jordan thing. this team is too soft and cant play defense! GSW is back to what they do. people think they are a jump shooting team because of all the pretty shots. if you really watch the game, you see that they take mostly open easy shots which come from driving into the paint area. this is still a team with fundamentals, and they will beat the grizz John wall needs to come back and take out the hawks. these guys are pretenders ![]() |
You can start with Solomon and his encounter with the queen of Sheba. And how she took his religion back to Africa. In fact the ethiopian eunuch Philip witnessed to in the new testament still practised according to the Torah and was confused until Philip explained the Messiah to him. And of course, the Ethiopian got news back to his court. This is known, verified history. and you can see its evidence in Ethiopia. Or you can research Cyrus the great, who was prophesied about 300 years before he was born, and as prophesied would break the leaved gates of the Babylonian empire. He was born as prophesied, rose to power as prophesied and did what was thought to be impossible to babylonian fortifications. Or the seven churches mentioned in Revelations, which still exist to this day in syria, iraq etc and have communities that still live from that time till present day. they have lots of oral and written history through time, and those have been studied and written about. in fact they contain probably the greatest clues on how christianity took over the pagan western world One of the "funny" things about the internet is that the deluge of information is providing more confusion than revelation. The facts I stated here are not new. They are as much verified history as is Alexander the Great or Salahuddin. Anyhow, I am sure you know how to google. Feel free to post your how you came to your conclusions too. Like I told Gatiano, any source you can quote has not stood up to the intellectual beating the bible has taken. And it is still standing |
oh! see flogging. woulda liked my rox to put up a little more fight, but eh...its not our year. we still dont have that defensive identity we need to be a contender. |
gatiano:so getting back on topic, how vetted is your source for the above info. since the topic is about fraud and anyone can claim anything, how does the verification of your source stack up against the bible. |
way too much home cooking on this bulls cavs game. the cavs had no business winning this game, but the refs tried to steal it for the bulls nonetheless. |
gatiano:your assumption is that when cain killed abel, they were the only two children of adam. but the bible doesnt say that anywhere. We know from gen 5:4 that Adam had many children, both sons and daughters. He had at least 3 by the time he was 130 years, including Seth. After Seth was born, Adam still lived another 800 years or so. Within the 1000 years Adam lived is more than enough time for children, grand children and on and on. In fact Seth by Torah tradition married his niece. So contrary to what you may have assumed based on your reading, the earth wasnt some barren place with a family of 4 when Cain went wondering. And no, marrying your sister was not a crime until the Torah law was given, and marrying your niece was never against the law. and stop with that black ppl this, black ppl that nonsense. does not impress me, |
gatiano:self sacrifice makes you a mumu? and you say you are spiritual? ![]() |
gatiano:I dont think you understand what proof is. what you just posted is conjecture (if heaven is in the sky...) Which is why I laugh at the bible bashing tirades I see here. None of you have yet to bring out an alternate philosophy that is more than conjecture, or trying to re-arrange facts into a puzzle you have designed. The bible you are going up against has several centuries of historical, scientific and psychological vetting, a good amount of it being adversarial. In other words, it can stand up as evidence in court of law in any human era. Is that the case for your belief? |
tit:they do. and they make it just like you are in the sw. if anyone is going to brazil and needs a few spots where you can get down on amala or poundo at a decent price, i can direct you |
gatiano:lol. did you back your own assertions with any proof? story teller... |
on topic, something about yoruba culture definitely draws adherents. I have run into american omo awos, and people who just decided they wanted to learn the language. I sometimes think they watch Yoruba, and fall in love with our general disposition. Then again maybe I am biased ![]() |
isalegan2:na today? when her real name was exposed on nairaland during the Dr Ariyo debacle, and I googled her, she turns out to be a church founder somewhere in houston. imagine my shock...how anyone can be that high up a religious hierarchy and still be so bitter and resentful. wetin we no go see for nairaland ![]() |
what i have heard is that the situation on ground is different from that scary pic. indonesia is very corrupt, and when you are caught, there is a good chance you can bribe your way out. supposedly, most of the people being killed were unable to meet the bribe. given this fact, and the potential to become immensely rich (Indonesia's population is huge), you can understand why people still traffick in spite of death sentence |
he is a mix of both. read up his history - he was helped by affirmative action and used to be more centrist. I dont know what caused him to pivot right, but I think at the core, this man has some truth to the things he says. So we all know he has no chance in the repub party, even if he has self deceived himself, but I respect his contributions enough to not denigrate him to house or field negro. |
Ilekeh:lol! unfortunately true. you would think the most detribalized nigerian would have earned some stripes, but he has found out that good deeds are indeed written on water. Awo could have told him this though, if the man from Owu wasnt so stubborn |
Phut:nice try. if we are laying blame, i am including all the people who cussed out Soyinka without hearing what he had to say first. There is a proverb in this event for people who are quick to throw stones at others, but I suspect the people who need to hear this proverb are deaf already, and will continue on the road to perdition. |
all series tied up 1-1. any team could win anywhere and last year's champion is already out. the level of talent and parity is good for business ![]() |
osunbor was the main bad man. as i recall it, anini was shedding tears right before the firing squad with osunbor taunting him |
Roland17:Tony Allen yes. Mike Conley ehhh. He is a solid PG, but the team is also built to cover up his weakness, namely he has trouble with fast scoring point guards. Which is why the Grizz defensive scheme last night deserves applause. They iced Curry, and unfortunately Curry couldnt make them pay with assists (Conley was actually not much better) |
this cavs coach is useless. if not for lebron just running into the paint this should be a 20 pt lead. they literally are scoring 100% off lebron. no ball movement, no hockey assist. lol |
igbo2011:for some of these guys, the best they will be able to do is act as a bridge for other african folk to get into the academic community and make contributions. the closest to a real impact is the dude that started afara systems. had he not sold his IP to Sun micro, he could have parlayed this into a billion dollar business. Then again, processors are capital intensive and I doublt he could have raised the capital needed to start his own gig. and most of these professors probably prefer to read and do research than spend time on a startup. props to you though for seeing beyond the hype about degrees etc. what we need is real on-the-ground impact |
this election was supposed to be a blood bath. but God did not give it to Nigeria's enemies |
