Dude some of your comments sometimes question the depth of your knowledge about the game especially specific teams.

The Celtics have a war chest of draft picks that even the sixers or the worst team in the NBA cant boast of, let me educate you here, hopefully you learn some.

2015 Draft Lottery

2 first round picks (both top 10)
3 second round picks

2016 Draft Lottery

3 First round picks(1 top 10)
4 Second round picks

2017 Draft Lottery

1 First round pick
1 Second round pick

2018 Draft Lottery

2 First round picks(1 top 10)
1 Second round pick

James young, Marcus Smart, Sulinger, Bradley, K.Olynyk and Zeller are some very good players with potentials already with the team.

A bulk of these picks are protected picks especially the top tens, others can be packaged in a deal to get one or two top free agent and of course the team has enough cap space and wealth to compete in the market if need be.

So when I am talking about a bright future for the Celtics this is what I mean bro, not Isaiah Thomas or Evan Turner.

#greenrunsdeep
lol...ok now. so you guys will probably draft a future kevin mchale in 2016, a future larry bird in 2017 and a future bill russell in 2018. then rondo will return in 2019 and it will all be ok. you have the knowledge, but little understanding, so ill clue you in on a little secret...not only is the league the deepest its ever been, meaning stacking your team with lottery picks wont get you far, no team has been able to hold on to players with potential long enough to do anything with it. even durant, westbrook will likely follow harden out of okc. you might want to check out okc and bulls pre D rose before you start yapping at me. if anything, the lakers have a better shot of returning to old glory before the celtics...at least its a desirable location, fine women and NOT crappy weather among other things grin

i know they didnt mention all this to you on whatever celtic fan site you got drunk from, but eh...they are homers, so it is easy to leave the brains behind and predict sunny futures. i am always happy to educate you

Enough of Rondo and the lethargic Mavs.

How about the spirited effort by My Celtics, they have not only competed but have come very close to stealing one game and tonight at the TD Garden the performance by these lads has been terrific, fighting for every loose ball, fighting for each other, moving their feet and intense battling for rebounds offensively and defensively.

The future has always been bright, right now it's assured, with Brad's style which aims to push the ball faster in transition quicker before defenses set and some fundamental post plays I believe we can we are a one center away from a very potent roaster.

It's half time right now and 56-48 Cavs, irrespective of the result these kids deserve commendations.

#greenrunsdeep
lol..the future is bleak. the celtics caught a team that is yet to get it together. at this point, the cavs are still raw...they use talent rather than plays to get themselves out of holes. if you think isaiah thomas or evan turner are the future...lmao

This game almost killed me....

Finally, 1-1

And they come to San Antonio.....
interestingly, hack-a-shaq almost cost the spurs that game. They were up by 9 late in the 4Q and still used it. It allowed the Clipper defense to be set, and the long rebounds off of DeAndre's misses ended up being converted into points. It should be interesting to see if Pop uses this strategy in game 3. Much props to Doc Rivers for sticking with DeAndre..man has balls

Are you minding them? IQ tests are useless. The bulk of the inventions, businesses etc are run by average IQ people. Success is highly dependent on character which is formed by habits. Check out all the dudes with asperger syndrome who have IQ but cant apply themselves to anything.

Unfortunately, this kid will probably believe this IQ hype and end up in some dead end rubbish like being a particle physicist or similar, wasting his life without impacting anyone.

And of course the only veritable excuse for the dismal and outrageous performance by the Mavericks is Rajon Rondo...why am I surprised...
man, i dont see how you can defend Rondo...you realize this guy is a grown man. There is no excuse for the way he behaves...even his body language towards his teammates is bad. I understand doc rivers tried to play some kind of father figure role to get Rondo out of his shell, but cmon you can expect every coach you meet to treat you like his son undecided

it is possible, as long as Rondo is unfocused. seriously though, i think Rondo may have some issues going on? normally come playoffs, the dude gives 110%

Buhari made many promises before he was MADE president, Tinubu made even more promises on his behalf, many which Buhari don't even know about. I am not saying the World Bank/IMF and multinational don't trust Buharis word but the way such business is conducted is this, Outarra is here to re-propose one or two of the former policies, guages Buharis reaction and reports back to his employers, This trick of enforcing a test proposal with a proxy ensures against 3 things, first it gives them a clue whether they have been betrayed or will be betrayed so they can act quickly and decisively to avoid a bigger loss, Secondly, they can access Buharis motive without causing bad blood between them, for example if a World Bank official did the test proposal instead of a proxy and Buhari rejects then there will bad feelings directly among the two parties and Buhari out of fear or just caution might start getting ideas which nobody wants, and might take drastic actions which will mess the other party's(IMF) chances up, but if a proxy does it, they get early warning of the possibilities and can think out ways to placate him, bribe him, blackmail him or destroy him without him suspecting them and being overly cautious. plainly they got early warning, Nigerians(buhari) don't. Thirdly and most important, Outtara will perform a Depth Testing analysis which is simply to find out how deep or far Buhari is willing to go with their usually obscene policies, Outtara will bring up several bizarre policies noting Buharis answer till he perceives discomfort in him, either by confrontation or by evading direct answers. Non of the real guys will meet him yet,but a lot of puppets will smooch up on him.
They dont need Ouattara for that. One of the advantages of being ascetic is that you are also taciturn. Anything Buhari has in mind, he isnt going to say until he is firmly in power, for good or bad. If you and I are able to deduce Outtara's significance, best believe the Buhari camp does. Btw, Outtara may be a stooge, but he is not an IMF stooge. Not for the purposes of this visit at least. Interesting times grin

Buhari sounds more directional in his efforts to combat insurgency. His plans may not be full proof. It might not be 100% achievable but there is a focus and that's what Nigerians are riding on.

He is yet to start and take the reins of power. Let him have some periods on the throne first to exercise his power before casting doubts. After all, someone was there for six years and never had a clue as to how to stir the nation.
funny how all the folk who didnt support Buhari becoming president are suddenly in "see, I told you so" mode on every piece of news. I read the original article over and over again and the Prez didnt say anything untoward. May you all continue hating for the next 4 years grin

Why are blacks always attracted to Economic Shamans ? Because you guys always throw away your common sense and gets befuddled by economic hitmen with numbers, fancy words like GDP,gini etc, why can we as a people get enlightened and use the knowledge we got to solve our malady .
My statement is very simple that any one can understand it, having the backdrop that those foreign institutions has be siphoning Lagos state funds in the name of interest, money which should be used for development instead, coupled with that the debt Lagos state government owes has given the foreigners leverage over Lagos state policies, they decide which contracts gets awarded, to which company, which development policy gets carried out , keep all that in mind and know that these greedy institutions are stunting the growth of the state with the highest Internal Revenue and GDP ....... now in order to remove the chains of debt and be truly sovereign the states has to be pay up it's debt , it is widely know as a fact that if you can't pay off these vampires within five years then you can't pay them off at all because they use the interest rate to strangle the nations, to make sure that the debt never gets paid and the nation ends up paying more than 20 times what it bborrowed, infact if you were a good reader you would be aware of this from countless studies performed in Africa and South America.

Divide the amount owed by Lagos by 7 and keeping in mind the cost of civil salaries and pretending that the debt has no interest, tell me if the state can pay off it's debt and fulfill it's civil obligations at the same time ?

Note: excluding the interest rate from debt calculation is absurd but i believe it helps to get your head around the ideas and also show how deep in this mess we have jumped.
funny thing about numbers is, you actually have to mention them. I dont see you quoting any above. why are you dividing by 7. Why not 20. Even buying a private house, 15-30 years is standard. All what you are saying boils down to you think we are borrowing too much. But you are not giving us any reason why this is so.

If you could pay back a loan for a capital project in 5 years, you wouldnt need to get the loan in the first place. Based on this, I dont think that you fully understand what a state/national budget is, and why you need to borrow for capital intensive projects in lieu of cutting of existing social services

Good talk, so the US will now give us those weapons to fight Boko haram and tell us where the Chibok girls are staying from their satellite discovery.

My fear is that Buhari cannot and should not trust those that see Nigeria as a future competitor for African influence. They have and will covertly continue working for Nigeria's collapse. It is simply in their future national interest to see a weak or better dismembered Nigeria.

Can Lagos pay it's civil servants if it starts paying off its debt by 20% per year, hoping to clear it off within 5 years during which it stops borrowing ?

Can it pay off both at the same time, ? I don't know how these institution disabled common sense and let those nonsense fly.

Let me rephrase, If Lagos decides to pay of it's debt within 5 years by paying 20% of it per year will it still be able to pay off it's civil servants without borrowing ?
i dont know. but do you? you are the one who brought it up. I assume you would then have numbers to prove LASG wrong. And I assume you have some reasonas to why 5 years is the golden timeto pay off a loan. It seems you do not have those numbers. So then, what was your basis for making those assertions?

That is exactly my point, the illusion that Nigerians can bring about a positive change through the ballot remains the most damaging incursions into our social Psyche. A mild effort in understanding the workings of western styled democracy is enough to convince anyone that such systems will never bring any positive change in a multi ethnic, multi religious nation like Nigeria, the role of money and the propensity by it's nature to be preyed by private interest. Keep in mind that Nigeria remains a victim of neocolonialism and as such can never attain true sovereignty through the ballot.

Nigeria a victim of neocolonialism, a multi ethnic, multi religious nation can never progress without unity, It's aboundantly evident that our present system can never unite us, Any serious student of Social Systems, History or with a bit experience in Psychological Operations will tell that only an ideology can unite Nigeria. Only an ideology can cut across through ethnic, political, religious lines and present a common front to battle the Monster(s) that stands in our way of progress.

Please don't make the mistake of plugging in European initiated ideologies(communism, socialism, capitalism etc) into this equation, Africans are capable of creating their own unique ideology, and only by doing so can we solve the problems unique to Africa and also avoid the carefully crafted pitfalls present in alien ones.
arent you the one that just said nigerians are not capable of turning this around? now we are capable of creating our own unique ideology? you realize that we practice the truest form of democracy ba? truly one man one vote, unlike the republican systems elsewhere. and it did not result in mob rule. some of us are on the optimism wagon, and we intend to stay there. we put in sweat equity to see the right man elected, and we intend to walk thru the doors that are opening up. already, looters from the previous administration are fleeing the country...good news to me.

Yes that includes me as , because the situation we are discussing is not sort a few enlightened men can turn around, so even if you want to make a change the people you are trying to help will disappoint you.

There is one solution and that is Decolonization of the Masses and Nationalization(Africanization) of all that is Nigerian.

just for thought … What political ideology(social System) does Nigeria espouse ? whatever answer you provide try to show real evidence of such ideology in the society.
To your first statement, I suggest you look up the instances of the old, infirm, pregnant and hospitalized finding their way to polling centers all across the nation. A sufficient majority has been exposed to the internet and the outside world, and for the first time in Nigerian history (in my lifetime at least), Nigerians are capable of shame. People recognized the chance to actually do something different for once and they seized it.

To your last question, Nigeria has never fit into capitalist, socialist or any other western economic ideology for any length of time. And it never will - the fact that it is a melting pot of nations in and of itself means everything has to be shared between regional power blocs. As far as political ideology, Nigeria will remain feudal for the next century I believe. It is the underlying assumption even in democratic institutions. And frankly, I dont mind it.

Don't let it bother you, because such laws are not far from Nigeria. APC is a neoliberal capitalist dredging machine. check out their marriage with world financial institutions, they propensity to borrow in large sums, the Massive privatization that goes on in every state they govern, their blatant preference to foreign exploitative institutions both in the sphere of Policies(advisors) and Infrastructure(projects, implementations ,taxation etc).
nope. its not going to happen. if you really think that kind of law can pass in Nigeria, lol. you need to step back from your theories brother, and see the reality on the ground.

and just to add, there is nothing wrong with borrowing..its the amount you borrow compared to your ability to repay. Do you have proof that LAogs has borrowed anywhere near its GDP?
