A40:The man is 37. Obviously this Lebron is not at his peak. The fact that he can run with the young uns and not need oxygen is a miracle. We thank God o ![]() |
Roland17:To quote a rockets fan on twitter, "I've been a Jayson Tatum fan for over three hours and he has never let me down." ![]() |
Tellwhat:Exactly. I was a Houston fan long before Harden. We know what rules were bent to keep him happy. Skipping practice, showing up late to games not flying with team to road games. Houston's management is the best it has been in years. If we use your yardstick to measure Houston, you would have condemned Grizzlies 3 years ago. You would have condemned Timberwolves 2 years ago. Same with Thunder. Building a franchise takes some pain, and time. Good riddance to bad rubbish. We will be fine. |
Tellwhat:not really. we just decided to sit the vets and let the rookies play. we are already eyeing who we will select in next years draft. We didnt get equal value obviously because he left in a classless manner. But we will be fine. But hey, he is now in philly and can visit his favority dream strip club without having to travel! |
Tellwhat:Bwahahaha, u jus dey troll. issokay na |
Folks, I think its time to stage an intervention for steady986. We here for you bro, dont do anything foolish abeg ![]() |
A40:I had to slap my hands from the keyboard |
Roland17:When Lebron started talking about wanting to play with bronny, I was like it is finished . Lebron has never solved his mouth weakness...sometimes just mechonu. The media is of course having a field day with it, and its looking like the team has quit. |
Roland17:celtics won that game?! I was about to say celtics were all healthy finally when JB twisted ankle comot. Next thing I see Ice Trey leaving the court injured and celtics fouling at the 3pt line. Switch off the TV cuz the game was looking like a dumpster fire that point. |
steady986:lol, no worry. at least you have your draft pick ![]() |
Android22:The damage is already done. The next CBA will rewind all the fight and hard work used to negotiate the current one. Players sat out half a season and lost salaries to get here. A few selfish players Kyrie, Simmons, Harden, Zion will have succesfully screwed up the future for players. A big shame. |
In other news, Pippen's decision to release that book is costing him big time. I keep seeing photo ops of all the NBA 75 and Pippen is no show. That saying is wise, some things are better left unsaid |
A40:So the issue is now wether Lebron is feeling happy or not? We dealing with feelings now, not actions? We trying to judge him based on what we think he's feeling? wow ![]() Lebron is a grown man, he can hang out wherever he wants. He doesnt need Pelinka's permission. You still havent shown where he abandoned the Lakers. All you are talking about at this point is what you feel he is feeling. Not what you heard him say or do. Just what he is feeling. If that isnt personal, I dont know what is. |
Khanben:There is a visceral need people have to down Lebron, even when he is a situation where all he is doing is saying nothing, folks will still find an excuse. If the guy talks, they will still blow it up. I suppose this is the price of greatness - a consistent band of fans that just love to hate. Anyways I look at Lebron's bank account, so I am not pitying him either. |
A40:Guys everything is not hate all the times. Sometimes be calming down. It was Pelinka that tried to coopt AD and Lebron into this, saying that they supported his lack of action at the trade deadline. Those ones came out through their camp that said they had no hand in it. That is as far as we all know. Everything else is speculation to draw traffic. I cannot blame Lebron for refusing to be used in Pelinkas politics. Everyone should man up and own their actions. Some of these issues are so straightforward, the way you guys try to lebron everything, ko make sense. My 2 cents. |
steady986:Exactly right. The aim of each season is win the championship. We dont build teams just to be competitive. If they dont win the ring, its ultimately pointless. The blazers and kings in the kobe/shaq era were well built, but no ring. Who remembers them today? Which of them is in top 75? |
I for one am happy that DeRozan did not end up with the Lakers, even though I knew that is what Lakers really needed. It would have reduced DeRozan to a marginal star, and for sure he would not be in MVP conversations today. Yall know how long I have been rolling with LeKing, but I call it how I see it. If you go from team to team, you should expect these type of things to happen. Its the same thing happening to Durant now. Its not good, its not bad, its just how these things work. I am very happy to see Deroan get his just props after all these years. My personal reading on the Lakers: Even though Lebron, Magic and other Laker greats are against Pelinka on this roster issue, Pelinka will not be fired. Why? He is that guy. Those of you in corporate environments know what I'm talking about. The green snake under green grass that knows how to survive by throwing everybody else under the bus. He is going to stroke Jeanie Buss ego and do everything to survive, including trading Lebron and AD if need be. I am interested to see how this plays out - this is class 301: Black in Corporate America - After they have hired and promoted you, how to save yourself from the orcs coming for you. Some players are still in class 101 - How to stay hired. ![]() |
A40:He is not playing because of mgmt decision. Wall shoots better than WB. More assists, less TO. Thinks better on the court. Again, go check the stats. 20pts 8 assists average last year. Lakers and Rockets exchange large contracts of players not working out == Win win win. Lebron is 37. The heir apparent doesnt want any smoke. It is what it is. |
donlittle25:You likely remember the often injured Wall playing for the Wizards. Me that Im following Rockets, I know when rehab finished, what the guy was dropping when he played and why he is not currently playing. Wall was shut down on purpose by Rockets this year. As in, dont even come to practice. Dude was averaging 20pt/8assists for Rockets previously. Unfortunately that was the period Harden was throwing tantrum, refusing to be a part of the team. Once Harden left, and we got the top picks, Houston understandably want to give the future play time. So you can see why Lebron would be pissed. Even if the Lakers dont need his 15-20 points, 10+ assists will put the Lakers way above .500. To make it worse, Pelinka was lying everywhere saying he got buy-in from Lebron and AD. Both essentially called it a lie through their camps. I think many fans haven't seen Wall play in a long time. The guy is 2 levels of upgrade on WB. Shooting PCT from 3, assists and ball control. All much better than WB. Pelinka messed up! |
donlittle25:You have 4 hall of famers on the team, one in his prime, one has GOAT like stature (at least he is even in the conversation), and yet you refuse to make any trades because of a draft pick down the road. That was an idiotic move, likely sponsored by Pelinka. The guy has all those snake like qualities, so he knows how to play both the owner and the players. I mean, what drafts pick are you expecting to replicate what you already have? As much as I don't like Lebron moving around, this is a good reason why. Its YOUR career, and YOU are responsible for a big part of how it turns out. Owners and GMs can ghost you. Fans are fickle. At the end of the day you have to live with YOUR decisions. If Lebron never left Cleveland, perhaps he wins 1, in an off year where the West is weak. They would never have drafted Kyrie because they would win the ECF every year, and the stingy owner would never have found a reason to get the talent around Lebron. Just ride the prize horse and make as much sales until the horse gets old. I say get rid of Pelinka, maybe shop AD and see what pieces you can get. Lebron is ready to get another ring if need be. Its obvious AD doesnt have that same kind of fire. He won one, and he has settled. |
I skipped this years dunk contest, because the past 4 or so years have left a very bad taste in my mouth. It always ruins my saturday. Always, without fail. So it does not surprise me to hear this year was worse. Am just glad I didnt witness it. I dont want shaq or dominique or wade judging the contest. The scores they give is about themselves, not the dunk. Its ends up screwing up the final dunks such thst the best dunker almost never wins. And they should open the competition to street ballers. But NBA wont want to lose some revenue. |
Roland17:Lol! |
Roland17:Dont change the topic. You tried to use his Wizards stint to prove greatness. I debunked it thoroughly with stats. Shikena ![]() We can argue all day on pros and cons, but your Wizards angle, no be am |
donlittle25:I like how you jejely ignored the fact that the Wizards missed the playoffs that year, in the crappy East no less. Even that 20ppg, let jerry stackhouse and co gist you how mike would ballhog all day. Carry the h*ll on. |
Thank God for tonites matchup. 2 superstars that actually show up and ball. No drama, no quitting on the team. They put in max contract effort every night, with no sense of entitlement. |
etidy:Curry was already struggling before Klay returned. It is better for warriors to struggle now and integrate Klay into the rotation. That is the only way they beat the Suns. The way some guys on here talk about Wiseman, you will think hes the best big man in the league. |
Roland17:Good thing all star break is coming up. Looks like your celtics are tired of winning. Kinda expected after that spectacular victory over the 76ers. That was an emotional high |
donlittle25:I like Curry, a lot, as a person and as a player. He does a whole lot outside bball btw, that people dont know. Very standup guy |
Roland17:Im interested in the list myself. Especially if its current players. Obviously as a Rockets fan you already stockton and malone will not enter our heaven. |
steady986:lol. wey dem ![]() |
steady986:There are very few nba players that I cant bring myself to like. Normally its blockheads like the Morris brothers. But Klay hasnt done anything particularly egregious. I just no like d guy. I even like CP3 with his wahala. I have forgiven Harden, and I will tolerate Westbrick while holding my nose. But Klay just rubs me the wrong way everytime. And Im not even sure why |
