No lies detected in this post.

But...they have Brad Stevens the genius who is better than Nick Nurse and every other manager that won a ring in their first season as coaches including the ones with 3 rings in 6 seasons of coaching. They will figure it out.
I have four celtics on my fantasy team this year -honestly the team as a whole underperforms massively. There are 3-4 guys on that team capable of 25+ppg per night if utilized properly

Brad Stevens has been hailed as a genius, for making a team greater than the individual parts. But as the young'uns are becoming all stars, we see the team is now LESS than its individual parts. In other words, Brad is a great game manager. Nothing more.

Who else noticed Tatum owned Kawhi in the OT of that Celts vs Clippers game?

Me neither.
Tatum is raw talent. He is used to team basketball, AKA boring ball the celtics like to play. Cat needs to be freed so he can realize his potential

A. Gordon just got robbed. They should not have had D. Wade as one of the judges because he was obviously partial towards Jones considering the Miami connection. That last dunk over a 7’5 T. Fall should have been a 50. When you win and get booed by the fans then you know something is up.
Im unfollowing tonight. I cant roll with people of questionable integrity. that was low wade.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 4:36am On Feb 16, 2020
these guys managed to screw up the dunk contest. smh

In other news, I want to age like Pat Riley...dude is looking fly!

Coaching change ko! Coaching change ni!! Na so una dey ruin players development and career.
This is Tatums sophomore year, he has made a significant jump in his all around play and is now an All Star.
This is J. Brown’s 3rd year, he suffered last year because of he Kyrie but has resurged and it is a shame he is not an All Star because he deserves to be one.
I knew you were coming for my throat grin Brad is overrated. I think a few more playoffs flameouts will convince you
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 11:06pm On Feb 14, 2020
it was this week I finally realized Lebron is old. The way he got up from that midcourt collision, thats how I would have gotten up... as in let me use technique to get up before I tweak something else grin

His movement and balance is a joy to watch. Like watching a beautiful dancer move.
Celtics bball is holding Tatum back right now - I think a coaching change is in order to maximize him and Jaylen's potential. They can carry way more offensive load than we are seeing them do on average.

Really weird trade. So PJ Tucker would be the Rockets starting Center. Lool I know he's big bodied but this ninja is like 6'5!

D'Antoni has really gone mad
Dantoni is not the issue. Morey feels like he is done, so he is going down swinging, and is about to take the franchise down with him. His biggest mistake was his trash talking China, which has cost the NBA about a quarter billion dollars already. To be frank, I had stopped watching Rockets games some weeks ago - I cant stand to watch the nonsense we put on the floor every night.

Morey had a chance to curtail Harden when he had an issue with CP3 last season. But the fool with a phd can only see numbers. His emotional IQ is so low it cant be measured so here we are with a one man team. I wish someone would make him stand under the rim and get dunked on by a hundred midgets, until he grows some sense. But I can only hope.

Im not angry o, Im not angry

angry

woke up today and no, its not a long bad dream. its for real. cry
i pray for comfort for the Bryant family as well as those of the others in that crash.

You learn more at a funeral than at a feast— After all, that’s where we’ll end up. We might discover something from it. Ecclesiastes 7:2 MSG

May this tragedy change the perspective of those of us living. And God give all of us peace.

Weather we rooted for Kobe or not, he was an icon to the game. I'm guilty of what you just said, I compare players alot in Soccer, NBA, NFL, UFC etc

I just have to stop it, stop comparing eras and stop under appreciating greatness.

24 FOREVER! we love you Kobe
just this week i think, someone asked mj about lbj. you can tell how much older and wiser mj is by his answer. He gave lbj props, said he likes and watches him, and stated eras are different, so comparison makes no sense. Then moved on to next question, no drama.

I was admiring his maturity, wondering if lbj's social media generation would ever grow up to be so mature. Alas, I was presumptuous. There are no such guarantees to life

I get question for @birdman. Abeg, wetin Rockets dey do during practice or when dem watch film? How to pass to Harden or how to watch him make/ miss shots? I love the guy but if I be him team mate we go fight oh!
boss, me sef i no understand grin

I think everyone from coach to players understand that the GM and owner prefer entertaining bball because the bottom line is this: seats sold and endorsements pay the bills, not championships. And Harden is the man to make it happen with his style of play.

If you notice, dantoni doesnt even get angry like he used to tongue. Sure, the rockets are playing crap bball...but who cares? Collect paycheck and go home. Unless you want them to give you the CP3 treatment grin

You will notice the other personalities associated with Rockets eg JVG, Kenny Smith....all silent at this point. Best to wait until reality hits home to say anything

I wont even attempt to complain about this beating. I want to see what Kenny Smith, a former Rocket has to say about this game. What he says and doesn't say will tell me how the GM and new owner are viewed by the longtime Houston fan base.

As I said before, this team's chances of competing for a ring has been gamed by a mathematician for short term ratings.
Kenny Smith be on nairaland grin Totally refused to get involved in the discussion on Rockets.

All he's got to do is score 60 points tomorrow, and all his sins would be forgiven. grin. Fans generally have short term memories. When he scores 60 tomorrow, the narrative would suddenly shift to "he is up there with jordan as one of greatest scorers of all time" meanwhile the guy gets a major component of his points from free throws, and he is averaging 25 shot attempts per game. On his post season struggles, it will likely continue until he properly diversifies his shots during critical moments of the game. He drives, drives , tires himself out, then starts bricking. grin. Sometimes i can't help but think he's a rich man's original bricklayer(west), as breathtaking as he plays sometimes.I still wonder why the rockets don't realize that putting two bricklayers together doesn't augur well. We will likely see the artistry of bricklaying in full effect come playoff. grin. Missing 27 straight 3-pointers would be child's play. Or perhaps the league could help him out by awarding as little freethrows as possible in the regular season. Maybe he will learn then, and be more diverse in his shot selection . But I have to admit some of those 60-point games are nothing but sensational. grin
i think what you are seeing is the hyped up social media of nowadays that is always looking for news. The real bball fans arent moved by the 50pts, when they can see the glaring holes in our game

The Texans have failed to put enough pieces around Watson especially in that O-line. Still don't understand why with all the skill players they have the coach consistently refuses to spread out the game and let Watson make plays .for the Texans IMHO their passing game should be driving their running game.
but this is how texans play, even when Kubiak was coach. I dont like the qb being micromanaged, but Watson has waaay more freedom than texans qb traditionally have.

Ball has been looking really good over the past couple of games. Seems to be settling into his groove. Hope he can sustain it.
I hope so. It would expose a certain NBA analyst that talks like he was Shaq when he was in the league, not a serviceable backup center with the Celtics.

Deshawn Watson is a god. The Texans don't deserve that guy, what a QB.
Um, no, they do. Texans have had some heartbreaker seasons, including Deshaun injuries. This is a feel good win. I hate for the Bills to lose like this (they will not be able to sleep tonight), but Texans have paid their dues. JJWatt especially

GS fans. Wow! You lot are one of a kind.
i think you mean the fans they gathered in the last 5 years. Im not even sure their current fan base actually like bball. Nothing wrong with that, but it explains how folks who were worshipping Durant one season can be justifying him being dissed like this.

I was asking @Birdman why his rustling Normad has to make everything about himself even when it does not concern him? AD accidentally fell into K. Hart but their MCM ran across to form his own slip into poor K. Hart whom for all we know is still recovering from a ghastly accident.
When they win it’s all about the Normad when they lose, the Lakers lack depth, the Lakers need one more offensive players, the Normad is injured, the litany of exudes pass our constitution and its amendment put together.
i thot it was a rhetorical question o tongue this is part of lebrons personality. you either love it or hate it. he is that loud guy in d gym. loud guy on d plane. loud guy in the movie theater grin grin

Not too disappointed because I expected the Lakers to lose. Problem is I can't blame any of the bench players or ask for them to get traded which really sucks. This loss is on Lebron. Just one game though, like bron said, it really doesn't mean anything. At moments like these it's important to remember the atlanta hawks or the raptors who sweep bron teams in regular seasons only to get decimated when it really matters. In Bron we trust!!
I have to disagree with you here. He had regressed from last year. Physically and mentally. Someone need to give him a dose of the truth in lala land

I bet Birdman didn't see that coming. grin grin
I did. Lakers are the better team, and they will own the clippers come playoffs. In the meantime, they have identity issues to work out. A championship team does not let a team down 15 back in the game. I put this on Lebron..he was too passive. No way Beverly Patrick should be riding him like that
