yomi96: na so una dey talk, spurs is in trouble, no more playoffs basketball for spurs. Well guess what, we will disappoint you guys again, if it was about talent and being comfortable, the warriors would be 2-0 up by now . Keep sleeping on spurs I am not sleeping on the spurs. DeRozan has proved he was not the weaker link in Toronto so Spurs have a good shot. But this series has game 7 written all over it. |

A40: How did the Celtics pull that off?? Wow. I still can't believe my eyes! They were down 12 at a point then Kyrie just went nuclear.
The Pacers are a terrible offensive team though. If the Celtics think they would get away with this against better offenses they are in for a shocker All those "analysts" shouting that Kyrie isnt needed have kept quiet. Just because you made the ECF last year doesnt mean you will this year. The top 6 in the east are much better than they were last year. Players need to learn not to take loud mouths like SAS seriously. You will just ruin team chemistry and cost yourself. Celtics are in trouble though. This effort will not work in the next series |

yomi96: Denver with the lucky win, with all their superior talent. Well no shaking they have not won in spurs in like 5years. So spurs in 6 the longer the playoffs go, the more comfortable Denver will get. They have enough talent to win 4 out of 7 versus any team. Spurs are in trouble |

Just to note. Westbrook had a triple double minus 1 rebound, and his team lost by 20 pts. These are the reasons people feel he is overrated. |

darkelf: According to Stephen A. Smith, Dame Lillard deserves to be in the first team all NBA over steph.
While I am not disagreeing that Dame is a baller and a Superstar, Steph is clearly better. Their stats comparison alone tells the story.
Now, some may say that Steph plays with Klay, draymond and almighty KD, its the reason he has more opportunity to shoot from screens. However, I would like to point out that Steph is averaging 27ppg, 6rpg and 6apg on a team with 3-4 all stars. That alone is impressive.
Before KD came, Steph won the scoring title while leading his team to a 73-9 record. Stephen A just said this because Portland beat a 6th seeded OKC at home. I mean, how is that so spectacular. The same Steph scored 38 points with 15 rebounds against the clippers.
Well, Stephen A get him mouth and is entitled to his own opinion, but on this subject, I strongly disagree with him SAS is in the sports business. He gets his views saying things to rile people up. Lillard is a true baller..I would roll with him anyday...street ball or NBA. But Steph has figured out some things Lillard hasnt. As a PG, shooting lights out is great. But you need to involve the other 4 teamates in a way that distorts the defense. Steph is the better at this, no question. Shooting wise, they are about the same...even though Steph can go unconscious at times |

Hardetayour: How una dey watch Rockets.
Harden iso. Chris Paul iso. Lob to Capela/Faried. Shoot 3s from anywhere.
Open eye well. It looks like iso, especially when Harden is bringing up the ball. Take note of what the PG, usually CP3 is doing when Harden is at the top of the key. Houston is going to play to their strength no matter what. But there are enough twists to keep teams honest on defense. Specifically I am looking forward to a game where manimal gets used correctly. He is our x factor this year. Capella and CP3 already make it hard to treat us like the 3pt lovers that we are btw thanks for this post. its playoffs and i have to step thru 50 posts arguing about GOT |

Guys!!! LeGM has been activated by force. Dont think so. Whoever is running the show right now isnt asking Lebron for anything. The fact that Magic was cut just like that means the new sherriff is all business. No way Lebron lets Magic go. Not only from a bball perspective...but Magic has the business connects. Team Lebron needs to tread carefully here. |

Celtics organization set him up men. But, immediately something like that came up, he should have brushed it aside or even embraced IT self. Not top 5. Not top 10. Not top 15 sef. On one team o, not the whole NBA. Man you are savage |

Roland17: Let me reiterate that I have no problems with "THE TRUTH" asking the Celtics to reschedule the tribute video of IT considering the scheduled date conflicted with his jersey going up the rafters. "THE TRUTH" owes no one any apologies for holding on to that and infact, if IT respects greatness and the TD Garden he would have no issues with the fact that the "THE TRUTH" jersey hanging should be prioritized over his tribute video.
The problem is this, players are only remembered when they are winning and everyone forgets this man started his career with the Celtics when we were really struggling. He is a good defender and his offense was class especially when you consider he was a clutch player in his time. Now, I am not going to compare him to Wade but "THE TRUTH" has earned the right to hold his own argument.
Since how many years/ seasons have the Celtics traded IT? Why is no one crying fowl that he could not even make the Nuggets post season rotation this year? I love IT so much and proud of him but we must stop this emotional blackmail of the Celtics because of his issues. He was in the league strapped on the bench with a metal strap before the Celtics took a chance on him, he got injured, played injured and spoke about getting the max and we thought differently about the situation.
"THE TRUTH" any day, anytime and any true Celtic fan who bleeds green would have no problems with that. i was going to leave this alonr. buuuuuut... This is why I respect guys like Jalen Rose, Stephen Jackson. They know they were allstars in their prime, but one level below the Kobes and TMacs. So they stay humble on TV. Pierce was an allstar on a bad team. Nothing more. Same for Reggie Miller. These guys now want to revise their career because they are now on TV It was not hard to be good on those old Celtic teams...the ones with Antoine Walker and everybody bricking 3s all day As far as guards, Kobe was king, Tmac was the most skilled and Pierce had a season and a half where you could mention him in the same sentence as the other two. |

Or if na LeBron do all these serenren the haters will swarm him like bees even though he deserves times 5 of this D Wade thing. Anyways, one thing I'm for is how this is all in Paul Pierce's face. I always wanted him come out like the mumu That he is since that day he said the Celtics shouldn't play Isaiah Thomas's tribute video on his Jersey night. The fans are not letting him have it easy and E sweet my belle die. He said the jersey thing was not true. That it was ITs choice not his. You have evidence to the contrary? Pierce was good in his time, but even then tmac was far better. Pierce unfortunately allowed himself to get baited into this rubbish controversy. Or maybe that was the plan all along...generate news |

I was impressed by the recent poll results that showed 73% of players currently think MJ is the GOAT. You would notice that the players who actually play this game are unanimous about who the GOAT is both present and retired. It's so-called analysts that will always have contrary opinions
Secondly why y'all do my boy Russ like this? @A40 people hating on westbrooks triple dubs . I have to say though, WB's stats dont have the effect that a triple double should. So I went and looked it up. It turns out Westbrook is top 10 in rebounds. Top 5 in defensive rebounds, but not in the top 50 for offensive rebounds . So those rebounds are not carrying the weight the should...there should be a healthy mix of 2 or 3 OREB in 10 total rebounds for a center/forward. This means Westbrook is more really a double double guy, 20pts, 10 assists. Still rock solid, all star material. But not the type of rating the triple dubs are giving him |

A40: I don't know why you would want to chill with him when your aim should be to dethrone him. Especially if you're supposed to be a generational talent like Anthony Davis (in a way that's what would always keep KD out of the GOAT discussion)
I read Giannis's story. The kid is all about the basketball man. He's not here for Hollywood or GQ life Funny i read his story just a few days back. The few times ive been to europe, especially the non english speaking countries, you will just see young unemployed black youth chilling like an eyesore everywhere. selling fake trinkets then running once police is near. Honestly they all looked like giannis. dark, tall, bushy hair. Only difference is Giannis found a way out. Giannis understands poverty in a way an American cannot. The young man appears to have his head on straight. More power to him. |

Roland17: Magic steps down as president of basketball operations of the Lakers.
When he was hired I made it clear that it was an emotional decision by the Lakers and his subsequent actions proved me right.
What would be his legacy as an NBA executive though? Bringing an already washed LeBum to LA? Not making the postseason while he was there or how he almost sold the future of the Lakers for pieces of silver in New Orleans?
The guy was all mouth as an executive. This is the best decision the Lakers have made in a very long time. Take off the Bron hate glasses for a minute...Forgive and pray for the KING Bringing King James to LA was Magic's biggest amd most successful move. Unfortunately, that was his ONLY noteworthy move. Everything else was bungled imo. The Lonzo situation was handled badly. Luke should have been let go. Inability to keep deals in the works secret. Constantly showing his hands at the negotiating table. I love Magic. But just like Jordan, or Dr J or...the best ballers make the worst judges of talent. I have no idea why. Lakers need to run a tight ship...coach needs to go. Leaks in bball operations and front office need to be plugged. Lebron needs to lay low...either be a baller or a social media star. Ironically, these are the things Pat Riley imposed on the big 3 in miami before LBJ bolted. Let me borrow Pastor donlittle's mic for a quick sermon: DONT RUN FROM DISCIPLINE. IT CAN REDUCE YOUR ACHIEVEMENT SIGNIFICANTLY. |

A40: Big Ben is not perfect, but in any organization there is always a chain of command. You might be an otherworldly talent but by virtue of position alone you will not have the cache of a Quarterback. Now when that Quarterback has actually won two Superbowls and a 15 year veteran to boot, to suggest you're an equal is laughable.
I'm thankful he has left the team and looking back now we should have let him go sooner. You can never win with these types of diva receivers, never
I actually like Sharpe, even with his LeNomad fanboyism which I find mildly irritating I still prefer him to the Nick dude. Nick is trying to hold a job. Sharpe is for real. On big ben, AB is not the only person he had issues with. What of Bell, who is more level headed. The QB cannot be spreading blame for team losses, chain of command or not. Brady doesnt do it. Rogers doesnt do it. Ben has an overinflated sense of his worth - he even likes to put mouth into other players contract issues. And that is why AB, as bad as he is, had some locker room support. This is partly the owners doing, condoning this crap and partly the coach's doing, trying to be the fun players coach. But I'm not sure the coach can do much though, we all know who writes the checks. Is Ben's contract not coming up soon? E go hear am from AB |

Big shame on Antonio Brown for hating on my boy JuJu Smith Schuster. You're old enough to be his uncle! Got paid and is still bitter! I was telling Roland these guys are the problem not the locker room. Shey you see now its both. big ben got tons of issues too. sharpe is always objective - when it comes to lebron, he speaks that way to counter his counterpart...cant even remember his name . sharpe is a serious dude, and his first fo round on TV years back didnt end well. He partly clowns to keep things funny and improve his appeal. |
