Fayose put then Governor Tinubu and a few other visiting politicians under house arrest in Ekiti state although this was under a PDP President - Obasanjo - so, knowing Obj, he probably was part of the plot.

Same Wike that when he was governor came up with Executive order barring APC and Tonye Cole from using any public facilities in Rivers state for campaign.

Not only that, Wike even shut down Events centers for playing host to his political opponent. Should we mentioned how so many businesses of opposition members were shut down and sealed by Wike.

A man that refused Atiku to campaign in Rivers state. And sent his security aides to shot at Abiye Sekibo for wanting to use an alternative venue in playing host to Atiku. Same Wike that sent his minions to throw dynamite at the APC campaign rally of Tonye Cole at Mile 2 just because they secured a space to hold the rally that isn't owned by Government.

Diri is even lenient. He should have warned all event center not to lease their facility for the event. And that any event center that goes contrary will be sealed off and it's land annexed to the government.

Same man that threatened traditional leaders not to receive candidates of opposition politician in their palace. Or should we mentioned how dynamites were thrown in the houses of pro-Atiku supporters at odd hours when they were sleeping with their family under Wike.

Same Wike that was declaring political opponent wanted on trump up charges. Diri should have declared Mr. Turner wanted for wanting to bring about break down of law and order in Bayelsa

The worst that will happen is that fubara will succumb and continue to give wike 80% of the State budget then loot and work with the remaining 20% or he will be removed and Amaewhule will become governor and do wikes biddings, which will not favour the state.
Bottom-line, it's a loose-loose situation for Rivers people. Unless fubara realises the magnitude of the power he weilds as an elected governor and fights like a man.

Amechi shut down the courts in rivers state till he left office (even as GEJ was in power), heaven did not fall.

Fubara should immediately approach the Supreme court for interpretation of the relevant sections pertaining to the state of emergency under the Nigerian constitution. That would serve as a solid precedent. It's surprising Fayose and Dariye need did. The president has no powers to suspend or remove an elected Governor one who was elected as himself. So if a state of emergency was declared in all of Nigeria which is possible will Tinubu remove himself from office??

It stopped in Anambra because FG was not used against Ngige. In Rivers its difficult for Fubara because FG is sympathetic to Wike camp.

Jonathan made him Governor and he rigged Rivers for Jona.
Some people have very short and bad .memories.
I still remember vividly how Wike used to much violence during the 2015 election just to make sure that jona win River by unimaginable margin.
Heads were chopped off during day light. Rivers came in with like 1.5 Million votes that everyone knew was fake figures.
All the loud mouth mumus abusing Wike now, were praising him back then with so many people killed just for Jonathan votes.

Obasanjo destroyed Odi, but he could not overcome the militants because they were spread across everywhere in Niger Delta. It was Yar'dua that brought peace when he implemented the amnesty programme.
The Niger Delta is a delicate terrain. You cannot just rely on military force to have your way. It is like living in a glass house; you cannot apply all the aggression otherwise you destroy everything and the FGN will lose terribly.
The oil companies and their workers would stop work when the environment heats up and the country's finances will be affected seriously. And the military cannot deploy to protect all oil workers in all their locations.
