immaculatesense:Arab cultural standard takes it's root from where? Any cultural standard that looks like it can't be questioned or seems like people are being held captive morally, psychological, mentality and even spiritually then its not safe and never for their own good but for the good of he who formulated it. |
Lifestylecom:I keep wondering if the Supreme Court actually said all this they are saying about the judgment and they the LP members have not gone ahead to inform the SC judge or the Chief Justice of the Federation to hold Abure in contempt of going against the SC judgement !?? In the judgement I read which still is not clear to me......the judge made mention that political parties should put a time line as to the duration of the positions of elective officers so I was wondering if in the LP constitution has in it the duration of when an elective officer should serve and vacate ........ |
ARISHEM:If there is no clear cut difference between the people of God and the people of the world then there's absolutely a serious problem.... It's always crystal clear in the Bible. God always warns his people to be different from the people of other nations. |
eyesoflagos:Does he still wear earrings? Because if he does then there's something absolutely wrong..... Nevertheless anything that contradicts the Word of God is definitely not from God and it's blasphemous to even say it was God who told you.... |
Heebee007:The real question to ask is does the RSHC have the jurisdiction to summon the Sole Administrator ? It seems like we like to play too much and make the educated illiterates and uneducated literates have something to hold on to !!!!!! |
xangerar:Put away your emotions.... You lots have to search the constitution of the FRN. In the eventuality where the State Assembly is not functional, the National Assembly( HoR and Senate) takes the responsibility till the State Assembly is reconstituted. |
2gbasky22:Is that what you were told about the role of the Sole Administrator? Is that part of the responsibilities handed to him by PBAT upon his appointment or did you not read the appointment or letter of engagement as handed to him by PBAT as he was sworn into office? |
id4sho:Buhari is a god oOoOO to many in the North. It was Tinubu he identified with that made it possible for him to become President. There's no amount of hardship in Nigeria and in Northern Nigeria that will make any of them bring damage to his property. He will always identify with Tinubu for as long as he remains a member of APC. |
Zetty177x:What exactly are the respective State governors doing with their security votes? |
Zetty177x:What exactly are the respective State governors doing with their security votes? |
id4sho:Have you ever heard that Buhari's house in Kaduna or Kastina was destroyed in any crisis before? |
TimeManager:A lot of Nigerians because of their hatred and emotional sentiments will not see the advice Sen. Karimi handed over to Sen. Ndume which is a fair one. It's even good Sen. Karimi gave a self example of such he has done in his constituency but Sen. Ndume is chasing after FG appointments to his State !!! What exactly does he do with the constituency project funds allocated to him yearly? Sen. Dickson if I am not mistaken as governor of Bayelsa State built an Army base and Navy base not just in his constituency but in his own community and I can tell you that his community is not even big...... You can navigate that community from one end to the other on foot in less than an hour, to and fro. |
blueAgent:On this particular issue I don't understand what you mean by rule of law, equity, truth and justice.... Do you really think Gov. Fubara has been truly sincere from the onset of all these comedy? |
Ykc2:No be everybody inside NL from South West.... |
morikee:Who said so? Did you actually read the contents of his appointment letter from PBAT? |
peleson1:If you say that PBAT is buying over the judiciary then let it be that way ... I'll not give in to political issues based on sentiment. The judiciary does not give judgment based on emotions but on strictly on facts and use technicality to give judgment and they are guided by the law and the lawyers of those who come before the judiciary exploit the loopholes in the constitution and whoever wins says the court is the last resort of the common man and the one who looses says the court has been bribed. That is. Nigeria for all of us. I always laugh when Atiku went to court against PMB then after the presidential election and also recently when Atiku and PO went to court against PBAT........ Let's agree that Atiku or PO won the election even though it seems many wanted PO to win..... But what and where were the facts or strong reaaona that were presented before the courts !?? Absolutely none. |
Ykc2:Why would PBAT tell Wike to off his mic ? Was PBAT a party to the negotiation and agreement between Wike and Fubara? What is PBAT interest in Rivers State politics and their in-fighting? If PBAT does that then it means PBAT should also let his paws off Lagos State and elsewhere where he is calling the stakes !!!! Whether he is using Wike to capture Rivers State is not the issue. The issue is that PBAT will not get himself into the internal politics of Rivers State because he is not the cause of it... That's clear enough. When Gov. Fubara thought it good to see PBAT on this issues the first time, he was given a peace deal and many notable purported Elder States Men were there and they signed their attendance and agreed to it. They did not raised any objections whatsoever, there. Were these Elders cajoled, corercd or threatened!!!! We had no complain of such. But Gov. Fubara turned around not against the peace deal and did as he was adviced by those who feel they were cheated by PBAT..... That alone shows that a lot is lacking ........ |
adioolayi:As it stands it's only the FHC that have unrestricted jurisdiction on whatever the Sole Administrator does as it relates to governance and administration. The RSHC lacks jurisdiction and can only handle issues not pertaining to the activities of the Sole Administrator. Since it is assumed that the FHC has been bought by Wike and PBAT, then knowledgeable people should know that it's the responsibility of the National Assembly (HoR and Senate) to take up the matter and let the Sole Administrator knows that he is going out of line....that's if he is actually going out of line. Because from what I sense, he is working within the powers given him by PBAT. |
Jorussia:Please what is the suit filed by the PDP governors on behalf of Gov. Fubara as it relates to Rivers State? |
peleson1:Let's take it one after the other other and please comment truthfully..... (1) Which side were you when during PGEJ administration when Wike as a Minister then was being empowered by that administration to fight Gov. Amaechi and even when Wike became Governor he still was fighting Amaechi who was a Minister in PMB's administration who was even trying to mind his business but Gov. Wike made it sure that Amaechi will not have rest or be comfortable in Rivers State? (2) Well, let's not continue to allow our emotions take the flow. Gov. Fubara did more than enough wrong. On one hand, he made the same wrong choices and opinions PGEJ made prior to his ousting and likewise same for AA the PDP presidential aspirant that cost him the 2023 election loss. On the other hand, the destruction of a section of the RSHA building is also another wrong......such has never happened in Rivers State that politicians destroy States' assets because they are fighting amongst themselves. This alone is the first time. (3) Whoever Wike is fighting definitely they are only those in opposition so if he is fighting the PDP, it's because there are factions in PDP that he doesn't agree with. I am very sure many of us encouraged him and even the PDP when he was fighting APC which was the opposition then with every arsenal he had. Well now the fight has come to the house. Let them all bear it. They created him, let them take it as it comes. (4) I'm sure if Wike becomes President of it's possible, he won't be worse than POBJ in how he handles opposition and addresses the economy of the nation ? |
Ykc2:I don't understand your Statement..... Are you saying that PBAT is the cause of the issues in Rivers State? Please if that is what you're saying , please enlighten me as to how PBAT is the cause..... Thanks. |
helinues:I have no business with what others did or didn't do. I am with the course of the law taking it's rightful place in time. Rivers State is only but a case study. At the appropriate time every other defaulting States will tow the line of the law in due time. We may not like the processes but everihas it's reasons and purpose. Today it may seem that Wike is winning and being hated and called all sorts of names but in time to come he will be a person of the past and another will take his position. There is a time and a season for all things under heaven. What everyone needs is aligning with that which is your God given purpose which is permanent and not for what is temporary. |
helinues:Every on going project will continue till wherever the money paid for it elapses if it wasn't paid and agreements were not made into it's completion when he was in office like Wike did when he empowered JB to do those flyovers to completion based on what he has paid them. Gov. Fubara cannot approach the Sole administrator of Rivers State and have any dealings with him whatsoever be it fo good or to cover any shady deals. He does have what it takes to make such bargaining and negotiations. He has absolutely nothing, no substance and not credit worthy, with the way everything is playing out. It's quite sad that he did not understand the game he was playing and his handlers were completely ignorant and being mischievous on one part and too ego driven on the other part to see their mistakes swelling up in their faces gathering momentum till it became full blown against them. |
helinues:You are speaking of the past and what was being done in the past and have been occuring in the past. It was the same thing that even Wike as governor did...... Gov. Fubara tried to follow the old ways of those who against the constitution regarding LG elections and this is what we now have.... The reality facing us. Because of the nature of the infighting in Rivers State, Gov. Wike and the Ahmaewule led RSHA are trying to use the courts to ensure that the right thing and the law is followed. An intentional and direct shift from what they have benefited in previous times. They want to do it right and still have their people in those positions following the books accordingly. |
helinues:Nope. Remember that appointment of caretaker chairmen is alien to the constitution of the FRN and unlawful. What Gov. Fubara should have done was to follow the directives and advice of the Ahmaewule led RSHA regarding that notice of how to go about the LG elections which would have been done properly and we would not be here we are or the elected LG chairman will not also be suspended but I guess emotions, ego and superiority went into play and this is the outcome of bad choices. |
Willy2025:It is not his duty to bring peace to the warring parties. He was brought in to ensure the State runs it's process especially in the payment of salaries to every civil and public servant in the State. He has a mandate as given to him by PBAT and the FG as approved by the NA to work in accordance to the laws of the land and also put up such laws that will aid him do his work for the duration of 6 months till further instructions from PBAT. The Rivers State HC lacks the power to put a restraining order preventing him appointing LG sole administrators to run the affairs of the LGCAs. Many of us are still moved by emotions and sentiments and it will not work if we continue this way on this issues. |
etokhana:I guess this PhD holder just wanted to say something but he chose the wrong subject matter. Minimum wage is #70,000. With the way the economy is I'm guessing having to eat three square meal for one who earns minimum wage with money not coming from another extenral source is surely grace from God. If you can one just twice eating of a decent meal of #1500 each is surely a blessing from God as well. But with the reality on ground. This is the sacrifice he is talking about.... You can afford just a meal with #1500 for 30 days which amounts to #45,000. You'll figure out how to balance yourself with the rest. This is just for a single person without no one depending on him. That is the reality on ground. |
Inosky:How is Tinubu controlling Lagos? If Tinubu has the final say in who becomes governor of Lagos State certainly he doesn't also control how the State is being developed? Does Tinubu also have to tell each governor what to do and how to do it? PBAT does not have the power to control anyone but what he needs only is yo put someone in place who shares his way of ideologies as to how developments should spread across. It mustn't be perfect but one would definitely see the changes and appreciate some of it. Except those who deliberately don't intend to see anything good in even the visible good that stands before them. Then let them keep criticizing till they get their favourable candidate. |
zero8zero:What exactly is the actual reflective cost? Do you really think it's complete stupid and ignorant people that fills up this country called Nigeria? How expensive is electricity or do you want to compare it with what is being paid in USA? The unbundling of the telecom industry, to whose interest is it ? The profits MTN has made alone in Nigeria given our pathetic corrupt system from it's inception, can it be compared to the profits made in South Africa and else where they are in operation.....you can do your analysis city by city, town to town, metropolitan area to metropolitan area and so forth... |
DaddyCoool:I do know that some States as against Trumps policies and some local police have said they will not assist ICE and it's affiliates. But there are some within the local police that within certain States that will compromise just a little bit of information. It will take take but it will be done as long as the Courts are not against it, it will be done. It's just a matter of time. Four years is enough time to get it done and they will make their progress known. It would be better the countries where these immigrants come from can strike a deal with Trumps administration for the betterment of both countries but unfortunately many of these immigrants countries don't know how best to aid their citizens. |
[quote author=DaddyCoool post=134904833]Most of these measures are really aimed at dissuading those planning to illegally enter US. Otherwise HOW will you find these people and deport them? And where'd you find the manpower to do it? Finding, locating, arresting and deporting them one after the other is just a little thing. You don't need much manpower when those already are excited to even work overtime and change their shifts to suit the situation accordingly till it's purpose is accomplished. |
mmadu4:Self deportation is better than DHS deportation.... They can go to any neighboring country if they don't intend to return to their own home country especially Africans. |
