Apparently kidnappers in Zamfara, Katsina get audience with the governor's, handshake and probably incentives but protesting youths are arrested by the DSS (Gestapo) and others are killed by security services without anyone still held responsible. |
ICC is for countries with weak judicial institutions and with incidences of government interference in court judgment. Buratai may likely not be able to travel out of the country but I'm still awaiting EFCC to do something about his Dubai properties. |
A most interesting thread. Please update with more information as time goes by... |
naptu2:There's a book written by a foreign author years ago that once documented the failings and issues with the Nigerian ranches. Tse Tse fly, diseases were one of them. Then finance and a lack of uptake with milk from the cows saw very little margins gained. I believe they could study from places like Kenya where they have successfully replicated ranches and in house, we have Shonga farms in Kwara state which has a ranch too. |
There's more to it than meets the eye. I believe the lack of education is a big factor here. They don't understand when they break the law, why they shouldn't encroach on farmlands or people's properties et al. I'll go as far as stating they MUST pass an educational course, ethics before they be allowed to settle or own ranches in the SW |
I bet a huge proportion of the Northern population claiming Nigeria are foreigners from Chad, Niger and far enclaves who just set up shop somewhere there, claim a state, local government and gbam! |
WTF are the security & army chiefs telling Buhari or do they filter the news that gets to him? |
With a high proportion of the country having mental health issues, cult groups, rivalry, tribal clashes. You're advocating a giant cauldron of violence and death. All Nigeria needs are strong institutions and well thought solutions should suffice for problems we currently face. |
AlhajiImam:Southern population is also growing, farmland, land, water is becoming an increasingly scarce resource. Nomads do not therefore have priority over sons of the soil hence the resistance against encroachment on their land. |
We should be conciliatory in trying to solve this issue once and for all. If as a loan, then sounds fair. Otherwise, if a freebie, that's bollocks. |
Ishilove:Funny enough if Obama married white, his children would have ended up with white phenotype (3/4 white features) and vice versa. I always thought media should call them as they are, mixed race or half black. Edit: Those are her STEP CHILDREN. The mod Ishilove seems to be editing words she wrote. weird |
Arewa1stSon:Good effort. Do you think the attendance can be sustained though. It looks like a very daunting project and I think it might take a generation to correct this. Here, watch this talk show about it. An hour long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8BL7Q6lev0 |
Never in support of stances like displayed by Mr Sunday and I think he should not be allowed to get away with this act. But Pastoralism should be abolished in the South as its causing tragedies for farmers and others alike. Nomadic herdsmen do NOT have any supposed generational right and I think their respective state government should now start looking for alternatives to stop them encroaching on southerners homestead. |
I do not support people like this taking laws into their hands. This is the outcome of displacement, and loss of vegetation up North. Northern governors ARE A DISGRACE seeing their recalcitrance to tackle encroaching desertification or ignoring insecurity. Hence, getting people down south getting increasingly agitated with the little they have. Here's China, Senegal reclaiming deserts whilst the so called African giant still has her head stuck in the sands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSn6S-H7m-8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUhPys-hfeA |
The calibre of people running for elective positions in this country. Grand thieving corrupt and not to mention subverting institutions (with his cronies) for he and his family's good. |
This is an extremely dangerous assertion brought here by the governor! BH is an extremist Salafist group akin to ISIS (whom I have not seen any such allegations of working with Christians ever before) How does a Christian fit into the narrative when BH continues to be extremely belligerent towards 'unbelievers'. Once upon a time, services on sundays were heavily targeted frequently until they ran out of churches or were pushed out of regions they easily attacked. Their focus soon focused on muslim groups who preached against them or didn't follow in their bbrand of religion. I find this allegation a most dishonest one. This is a monster of Islamic radicalisation and they should own up to what they created!!! |
Isn't the Australian Taipan the deadliest snake on the planet? |
Buhari IS A TYRANT. |
Cromagnon:I guess the comment flew over your head. I essentially 'innovated' hence I'm not in the stereotypical oil industry. 'Energy' extends beyond that. If you could also read between the lines, maybe people like you would see gaps in the markets. Start from Stears NG, Medium NG et al. |
Gerrard59:Foundries, heavy industries are too much to aspire to? Cromagnon:I'm into energy. That's all you need to know. michlins:Reiterate again, they're not innovative. There are many industries Nigeria lack. GeneralPula:There are many. Advise to study models or industries that would support industrialisation. |
Nigerian industrialists always picking the easiest option. Let's all build cement factories, spaghetti factories and refineries cos that's the only thing we need. They'll sell quite alright, but the lack of thinking outside the box continually astounds me. |
I blame half baked education for those supporting an opaque union whom extort bus drivers, truck drivers and traders with or without violence and reveling in their ill gotten wealth. You're slowly but surely tilting the next generation to exploring criminal paths in order to acquire wealth. Your wish for development akin to developed countries has become even narrower! Facts!! |
Welp! That's it. Will never comment on any NA related thread!! Like said previously, ffuck this tyrannical regime, Gestapo-DSS and zombies that use weapons in suppressing the cries of the downtrodden. Good luck to those fighting bh. |
A40:Apparently the head of their USPS is facing summons from judges and members of congress when this is all over. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/21/us/elections/states-file-a-joint-lawsuit-over-changes-to-post-office-operations.htmlAs far back as August, some states started suing the postal services for deliberately scuttling operations that might affect votes in Nov! This is a mess!! Trump starting to speak from both sides of the mouth!!! Here he is on video saying he's not funding the USPS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUUGQ_m5uVc |
One incredibly unstable 'genius'. Tried to sabotage the postal ballot, fixed his crony in there and cries blue murder over same election results. |
The tyrant strikes again. |
Lol. Tinuke has been in hiding for days only to poke his head out after a lull in the crisis. Is that one a 'jagaban'? No he's a coward! |
Evil (Tinubu) fighting back. 2023, Tinubu/APC/PDP are getting the boot! |
Buhari IS A TYRANT. DSS come and beat me. ![]() |
Buhari lacks empathy. His body language during the protests got me worried hence I wrote here last week hoping the response wouldn't evoke a disproportionate response. Many hours and dead youths later, still nothing!! Continued silence would only plunge the country deeper into this crisis and its sad to think this is a president? |
Sanctions are incoming. Fucck Buhari and DSS - Gestapo cunts, evil politicians and the armed security personnel who perpetuated this evil act!!! |
