Today I look at this trend and I shake my head, it will be wrong for me to say baseless argument, but that's what it look like. If here is what'sapp group, man don exit.

Like what's the fuss about? Is it to keep the trend floating or settle scores? This car, that car, I've read cars to a point, as I deh like this I don confuse, sotey I saw hybrid. For God sake, ma corolla, matrix, civic, hyundai, volvo, mack o, we all have been (at least known) doing this driving thing for close to 2 years or more and I don't think anyone is using fuel of 6k to make 15k or buying parts every other week, whatever car we may b using, have served it purpose outside accident or poor maintenance, neglecting ford.

So what's it with cars or rental? Partners can peg whatever they like and if the driver see it fit to accept the agreement, fine! Is there a place standard price was written? I honestly don't understand how we intend to run business plan by this back and forth, where we know that situation changes and it's the deliberation and decision we made inbetween that we keep such busines going.

And to the partners, I just want u to know u r at the mercy of drivers, know that and know peace. If he chooses to b stupid, it will effect ur business in major way.
Bro the most irritating part of it is that all the business men here don't hire driver from the forum and they are here shouting like agbero upandan.

In yoruba there is an adage that goes

If the young ones refuse to be sensible, what happens to the elder that renders themselves senseless.

You people needs to understand diff btw constructive criticism and just baseless arguments

Everybody comes here to boast of how rich they are forgetting there is a wide gap between been OK and Rich and most importantly been WEALTHY.
Most of you here are just ok except few. Wealthy men don't make noise. But rich dude shout at the top of Thier lungs. Men grow up.

I remember growing up our elders are our heroes and model but nowadays the elders are the most foolish decision maker or advice giver.

Blackbishop, am sorry please you're not making sense. A corrolla is 2.5 mil on the average now. Please, what makes you think there wont be stories from one or two or even all the driver in one month....My driver only deliver for the first 3 weeks before i start getting HUGE stories, same with most of my friend that has cars on the platform. When i was looking for a driver, someone on this platform inform me NEVER to take a driver on this platform, due to stories..Wait, you actually think all this drivers on this thread deliver promptly, without stories? Lol
All the partners that picked drivers from this platform, abeg how many of them ends well, abeg leave story. na today...Ask Dru, ask Gazzuz, ask jpworld, ask carshopper or so..Some are on the fence now. e get why
Bro first you jump through stuff without a sense of understanding.where in my narration did you see analysing with a corolla and specifically used Dru as an example. Cuz almost everybody knows civic is synonymous to Dru
And times without numbers have they specifically highlight the importance of how to Minimise expenses and maximise profit.

Deadbeat business men like you run into lose becuz you fail to read thru the steps of running a business.

Eskiss me sir... Please let's do the analysis end-to-end.

To have 4 corolla cars on the platforms , that's an investment of N10m Sir. So it means you invested 10m and you make 400k monthly.
Bro why will I buy Corolla when civic or other cheap cars can do it. That is a Businessman Mindset.

People going for corolla at this stage are either ignorant or brainwashed into believing that is the only tool.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Blackbishop(m): 4:54pm On Jul 18, 2021
With all these arguments upandan, most driver needs to work smarter than working hard. Whether Na 30k or 50k just work smart and work more smarter to get your self out of that level of driving to remit.
No matter how cheap a lease is going to be it will never be yours. So when the chips are down what do you have left?

Nothing concerns me with what the driver makes.

My own take is that with the current reality we live in, 25k will not make any car owner break even

Blackbishop, I understand the fact that Dru23 has a fleet. But what about those with just one Corolla?

100k a month and you spend a mandatory 10k plus to service. Let's not talk about if something major or minor goes bad. That's like taking 75k a month

So at what point will the person recoup his 2.5 million, and start enjoying sara money?

Bro Na serious wahala bẹ that. Do you know the number people that contact me to get them a driver. Which turn down just to stay off talk all the time.

But it is not easy at all .... Having good drivers plays a major part.. So this is why my rental is 25k ... Am not saying that my method will work for EVERYONE......

I really wonder how you partners break even with collecting 30k weekly, and still handle all repairs and maintenances

Jehovah. grin

Of all the transportation vehicles used in Nigeria, Uber own too poor.

Sienna to Abuja - 45k to 50k a week
LT bus from OkoAfo to CMS - 10k daily (Yes... daily)
Okada for some streets - 8k to 10k weekly

Then I'll buy Corolla at 2.5 million and be collecting 25k weekly and handle all maintenances? grin

With all due respect, Dru23, I know this is a big request, but do you mind showing us how you break even.

Please kindly educate us on how you do it. Because I just don't see how realistic it is
Check this out, you have 4 cars on the platform delivering 25k weekly that is 100k per week, as a business man you are not putting your home expenses on it. Per month you have 400k steady and you have up to par cars no weekly wahala.

So according to Dru he only run services and not major repair in 6 months that is 2.4milla. servicing and the minor repairs coat him 300k for the six months on all his cars that is a balance of 2.1milla left.

So as a business man he his making more profit.

Guys na God save me now now from sleepy Coro boy.

How do I explain?
I was on my lane blazing off since road is free , suddenly I realized a red Corolla left is lane and was coming towards me, I thought he was avoiding pot hole or something but this car was coming with full speed too. I slammed brake and was pressing my horn with all of my strength and about to start crying for my low mileage Camry. Suddenly the driver woke up, swerved and suddenly slammed brake. Unfortunately a drunk guy in accord jammed him from behind.
For like 10secs everywhere was silent.
The drunk guy came down to see what’s happening,
Guess what ? Coro guy zoomed off. Both me and Honda guy open mouth in shock. Boys that gather started asking if he stole the car or why run away ?

I thank God that nothing happened to my car else all the stew today for sour.
If we dey pray for daily bread make we dey pray for wahala free day too. Prolly the guy never rest wella.

My brand is not based on people liking me ... My brand is based on what am willing to offer to the customers at a very competitive price...... Once my goods are no longer price friendly the customers will look somewhere else.....

For the fact that am out of stock of goods now .. Do u think the customers will wait for me ? The customer will look elsewhere simple as 1,2,3 .. Their is no permanent loyalty in this business I do .

Mr. blackbishop here is an up and coming mechanic that is still learning. He will need to direct that energy towards getting his business up and running. He has not yet an establish mechanic.......

Why he came for me can only be personal ... I only use him twice or so .. And I needed someone to manage some of my rental cars. This would have been good enough income for him to get a steady work and built himself.

My currant mechanic I have now is ok.. He takes care of all rental cars and cars that I sell to the public. He derives some income from it , but those cars rarely break down........

Now am not discouraging anyone from using his services ... We all have to eat , but he should learn how to pick his battles ......

Due to my past experience with mechanics, I don't do recommendation anymore, even with my own mechanic and this is to avoid headaches etc ..
Bro @ bolded nothing personal, and I didn't come for you but also disappointed how you tag every comment that has to do with you. I thrash some battles to win the war.

And you talking about growing even Dangote still advertise to expand I can never be ok no matter the level of my business, wanting more begat the hustle.

Bro since I stopped working with you did I ever call to ask you why? Even though I hate to blame but I took the fall for Chillex antics. Still I chat you once in a while to talk about parts with you and recommend people who wants oil. And even remember calling you during Felicity issue to beg you to quash it.

So bro i don't even know how to hate, not to talk of bad mouthing you and who ever is feeding you the lies that I complained about you bro, just watch the people in your circle. I ain't got time for that shit.

Try for once not to have the last say baba!
It really helps and save us a lot of back and forth unending argument.

Still yet I still respect you as a brother and as a friend just be the bigger person.

I guess you want some of my mama's cooking .......

You are upset that I no longer use your service.. I also recommended someone to you and the person was not happy with your job ...

This customer stated to me that you lack the proper tools to do the job .. And the customer had to go to YouTube to find solution......

Now a while back that you came to do oil change on my car .. You dump the whole 5quarts of oil instead of 3/2 quarts.. I had to tell you to empty it and gauge it....

Second... I had a camry 07 that I ask you to fix .. You got the wrong parts for it . And I had to have some one else do the job .. I wasted money and you offer to do job again...

This is the reasons why I don't use your services anymore.. And you complain to some one about it. And the person told me himself.......

You need to focus on your craft and build urself up...
And can you pls mention names and time and the customer you recommended.
And for your car, how I wish you could have waited?

And for been upset bro where do you get that from?
I remember I still talk to you as recent as May, so I stopped working for you as far back as January so where is the hate coming from?

I so much respect the woman behind you that I try as much as possible to warn you from making people around you pay for your nonchalant and egoistic behaviour. Now people that don't even worth your time floor you here and you think am ready for kid's play. Bro wish you could see beyond my stuff and try to sit up and grow up to be the bigger man.

I don't hate I just ignore people that I know I will waste my time on.
How can a customer you claim to refer come to me and be telling me YouTube repair? Since YouTube don show am why waste my time to repair. He can as well get the tools and repair the shit by himself.

That brings me to the advice Gazzuzz gave me which I will always cherish bro.

Bro I don't hate you, you are part of my history and I will always respect that. Even if I want to your wife is an Angel and she doesn't deserve some bullshit I read here about her.

Do you want some of my "mama's cooking " ?

Let us get down to the facts.. I didn't start this mess

So you want to teach me how to diversify my business. A mechanic that does not have a shop ..goes around in the hot sun carrying pack bag with tools up and down ..........lol .......

There is a reason why I stop using you bro ...don't be mad ...... Don't go that road with me.. You are up and coming mechanic .. Stay in your lane .... It is in ur best interest to protect the small brand that you are building..........

Protect your brand bro ...... Avoid beef with me ...... Again you are up and coming mechanic.. You need all the customers u can get ...........
Lol.....
Is that the best bro.....

But am proud of what I do and still working to progress.... Next time ask what you need to type to deliver a punchline.
Bro here is not going to stop my branding neither will your negative manners stop it.

Mr. Andrew as much I want this banter. I love the forum to remain one piece. So I won't give you that attention today may some other time.
