Iraq and Syria were both socialist countries with a secular approach to religion..but religious sects still mattered in the background. It was the way they were divided by colonialists and the way power was allocated unequally to different regions/tribes/religions in order to favour outside interests that made everything spoil (just like Nigeria)

obviously its Messi... with messi in the opposing team, the coach will have to make special kind of formation n defense tactics to block him out.. do you know how defenders shake while trying to mark messi? some of them even run back when he's coming towards them while so called brave ones that tries to challenge will just fall down without knowing what's the cause... you have atleast 2 defenders chasing messi up n down.... as for Ronaldo, just try to notice those players that usually feed him balls n stop them. doing so, Ronaldo will be useless. take for example at Madrid, it used to be ozil before he left for arsenal, Marcelo and modric.. mark this guys, Ronaldo will just be frustrated.. you don't need much players on Ronaldo himself. just put one good defender on him to follow him every where he goes n close mark him tight especially when he is outside the box... if you notice most of the goals that Ronaldo scores this days, he is usually left unmarked... compared to messi who is always being followed and still will beat the defenders or any living thing in front of him no matter how many they are before scoring. plus, messi is also a play Maker.. he is the one doing most of the passes, assist, and goal scoring on the field compared to Ronaldo who waits for the ball to get to him and then finishes.....
