RomanceRe: Get Pregnant And Be Punished In The Us by blackmann(m): 2:55pm On Dec 23, 2009
The way they brainwash those young kids here to join the army, marines, national guard, navy, airforce, etc, only for them to be posted to iraq, afghanistan, etc to be lown up to bits by one suicide bomber ot the other really amazes me. the last i read, the number of casualties US troops have almost triples the numbers other countries in the same issue have. I wonder how many triangle-folded american flags they've given out since 2004. It's sad guys.

PoliticsRe: Ecowas Leaders To Replace Yar’adua As Chairman ! by blackmann(m): 2:51pm On Dec 21, 2009
Gbawe:
As others have adviced, read the article properly before you respond. It is you that now looks foolish and uncouth because it is obvious you are in haste to attack others. Also , I think you should understand that some of us post to inform of occurences and not to recieve replies . Nigerians should be aware, if the report is accurate , that their President is about to be removed as ECOWAS Chairman because "the tenure of President Yar’Adua was one of the worst to be experienced by the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Commission" .

Several of our Presidents/heads of State , to include IBB (85 to 89) , have completed lengthy tenures as ECOWAS chairman. That ECOWAS want to vote Yardy out because he is incompetent is something Tthat should worry Nigerians immensely- especially Madam Rebrand. Yar Adua's removal will further give credibility to the notion that Nigeria is rudderless. If , for example, the NASS had done the right thing ECOWAS will not now be in the position of having to push Yardy out. The NASS stance also justifies Hilary Clintons assertion that our leaders are able , but unwilling, to make life better for Nigerians.
true that.

PoliticsCourt Of Appeal Denies Bode George Bail by blackmann(op): 6:14pm On Dec 17, 2009
A Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos earlier today (Thursday) dismissed the bail application brought before it by a convicted chairman of Nigeria Ports Authority, Olabode George and five others.
Justice Joseph Oyewole of an Ikeja High Court had on October 26, 2009, sentenced George and the other convicts to two years imprisonment each without an option of fine.
George’s lawyer, Chief Tunji Ayanlaja (SAN), had urged the court to grant his client temporary freedom on grounds of his failing health.
But in its ruling today, the Court of Appeal dismissed the application on the grounds that there were no compelling medical reasons to grant him bail.

The real problem we have in nigeria is continuity. one governor will come in and do something good, the next one to come will want to do his own seperate agenda.

PoliticsRe: Should Yar'dua Resign? by blackmann(m): 3:18pm On Dec 05, 2009
I'm beginning to believe he shld just resign quietly and take really good care of himself. the last i heard, ie was slipping in and out of consciousness and the swelling was increasing. the doctors were planning on flying him out to USA once the try to stabilize him but shelved the idea. this case is getting more serious nd i pray that he doesn't give up the battle.

This one dat they are talking abt nuclear power nd nuclear plants, i hope they will have a good way of disposing their waste cos with the situation of naija where most things dnt work, i wnt be surprised if someone embezzles the funds for the waste disposal. nuclear waste is not something one shld play with, cos if it starts seeping into ground water, it could be catastrophic
My niece's friend's dad is getting married to the mom's sis next month. The mom died 2yrs ago and her younger sis moved in to help with the kids.

It's kinda icky but different strokes for different folks.
That is still understandable, but i was referring to the wife still being alive and the husband taking her sister as a second wife.
FamilyCan U Take Ur Wife's Sister As A Second Wife? by blackmann(op): 3:46pm On Nov 29, 2009
Its not a surprise in today's world when u hear of sisters fighting over the same man, of guys sleeping with two sisters. it even becomes more sickening when we hear of husbands seducing and having sex with their wives sisters, of women seducing their sisters' husbands, and such. At the end of the day, we hear of ladies taking in for their sisters' husbands, then blaming the devil for the deed (even if the devil himself may not know about it). i also hear that sometimes when the wife for some reasons cannot put to bed, sometimes end up sleeping with the wife's sister and getting her pregnant. In such cases I hear that in order for the family to avoid this shame, they urge the man to marry the pregnant girl. It sounds sick, but hey, in the world we are in, anything can happen.

can u men out there for any reason, take ur wife's sister as ur second wife?
