Hi Guys, I shan't bore you with my gaming history. Suffice to say I am a 33 year old who loves video games. Mind you, I’m not the kind of diehard gamer who goes 56 straight hours without dropping the pad, nor am I the kind of person who will line up in front of a store 24 hours before a new game is released just to be one of the first to own and play it and post my scores and gameplay on Youtube. I just like to get in a few games of PES or a couple of hours of Metal Gear Solid or Grand Theft auto once in a while. My question is am I alone? Does anyone else ever feel like they should be doing something more important as soon as they fire up a game, or is just me? The other day my parents were around and when I fired up my PS, my mum asked that am I not too old for this? Even my dad was like why am I still playing the game. I have an 18 month old daughter and a son on the way. I do not party, I do not drink. I just use my PlayStation to relax anytime I’m stressed up or if I have nothing else to do and don’t feel like going out and nothing worth watching on TV. Do you think I’m too old playing video games at my age? When is it too old for someone to still be playing video games? |
The move to Chelsea changed the kind of player Mikel is. He plays a totally different position in his club from what he plays in the National team. If you watch his play in Chelsea you will know he is more of a deep-lying DMF who sits infront of the back four as against the all out Attacking midfielder and playmaker he is expected to play in the SE. His goals-to-games statistics for Chelsea (4 goals in 206 appearances for the Blues) speaks for itself. |
Dude your topic is misleading.... Where r u located? |

I don't know how true it is but an incident that happened to me about 8 years ago that almost cost me my life made me think twice about doubting such stories as fallacies.... I went for a one-week conference in Abuja. During the period, I met a very nice, busty, sexy-looking girl who also came for the same conference. We hit it off almost immediately. The conference ended and this babe was literally throwing herself at me. She told me when she was younger she used to fight with spiritual problems, and that their village "priests" mentioned that she had a spiritual husband. Instead of me to jeje end it there, bosom don enta my eye. A few days later i invited her over to my room in the guest house i was staying and to cut a long story short, we ended up tumbling in the hay-stack. Not quite two days later, I was involved in an okada-building blocks trailer accident near Glo office in Wuse. Na God save me that day as I almost broke my arm when the okada i was on ran headlong full-speed into the side of this trailer who had crossed infront of us. I never picked the girl's calls anymore and I ran away from Abuja for a year. |
plz i taught 2day is public hoilday...so y going 2 school?
Dude, if you had taken a little more time to look at the date on the OP and not satisfy your itchy fingers to comment, you would have noticed the post was from yesterday. Ptoocool: You ok at allThat is what new generation mobile phones can do. Oh and don't forget the on-going ASUU strike. |
johnstar: Bt sumtims I hardly remebr my dream, wat is d causehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream |
Alfa Seltzer: You err. Free speech means exactly that we should be able to make anything we want of it, including things that may seem ridiculous to others. If not, it is no longer free. Which then includes, saying dumb things as "end time things" and "first to comment, dancing alingo or praising God" among other things, i assume? Like my female friend used to tell me, "whatever makes you sleep at night sweetheart." |
Alfa Seltzer: It's called freedom of expression but I guess we nigerians have a long way to go before we can tolerate diverse views. End ti..... oops.Yeah, I know it is freedom of expression. But free speech doesn't mean we should make a ridicule of it. That's my point. It is better to keep quiet than to open one's mouth and make a fool of oneself. Everyone has the right to say whatever he wants to say, but you just can't take anyone who keeps making dumb remarks serious, can you? |
Akshow: Well said. I think d modes are too cranky and uptight and have to learn to lighten up n not take everything too seriously. Taking everything so serious is d first sign of end timeIt may be fun at first, but when it comes to the point when EVERY topic is commented more than 10 times with "end time things", it tends to become seriously annoying. Just imagine making serious comments and discussions and one slow-poke says "end time things". Doesn't make sense at all. |
What is it with all these "end time things" comments sef? It's rather annoying. |
The last time I checked, it was Mourinho that was the coach of the team, not Stephen Keshi. Also, it was Abramovic that was the owner and head of the team, not GEJ. If they are good enough to fit into the team, then Mourinho will include them in the line-ups. How are u sure that if they leave, they will be featured in the teams they eventually transfer to? |
That filthy immoral show is over? Finally!!!! I can now re-subscribe so my little daughter can watch her Nickelodeon. She's been pestering me for the past month or so. |
Justosaus: she's not ok upstairs. No matter where one goes in this world, home remains home. Why do you people talk just to talk? Wouldn't you too feel the same way if u were in her shoes? Besides, they are the ones at fault for not informing them not to come on that day. like they all said, nothing prevents them from contacting them before they made their trips. Even put the notice on their website. it is all as a result of the failing state of the nation. I wonder what the Ambassador for Nigeria to Canada has to say about this. And you say she is not okay upstairs. Nigerians and their ways of thinking sha. |
She's sad that Beverley Osu is taking the spotlight from her |
There are too many small kids on this Forum. |
Facilitate his release so that when he gets back to Naija, he will be given a Chieftancy title and a Presidential pardon abi? Atimes i wonder what people like these smoke in Nigeria. |
i will certainly tap that body if the situation presents itself. |
....and yet I won't be surprised if at the end of the day she becomes one of the last 3 members and eventually wins. Trust we Nigerians and controversy. |
What gets to me most is some of the buyers would want to "dictate" what they want to pay for the cars they want to buy. I had someone who once told me he needed to buy a 2008 Toyota Camry. He told me the car was being sold for around 1.5m in Nigeria and he wanted one with all the options available(Leather seats, alloy wheels, moonroofs, 6 CD player, the works) with mileage less than 100k. i told him that 1.5 won't even buy the car here and he said that he went to price the car and that's the cost estimate he was given. I even told him that maybe the car was an accident vehicle, and even at that price it will be very hard to get a salvage car of that year and model. There's nothing I didn't explain to him that made him budge. At some point i told him to just go and buy it from wherever he got that price from and he said no, he wants it from here. Atimes the buyers make it hard on the sellers too. They want the best vehicle in the market, but will offer ridiculous prices. |
Some people do things without thinking sha. How was that 2nd goal the keeper's fault? Where were the defenders who were supposed to cover the keeper up? These dumb shaitheads always take one step forward and two steps backwards. No wonder our football is in shambles. |
Built2last: Oga, you don't have to insult anybody...if you have ever travelled the easiest thing to find on you is your passpot. Do you need 30 seconds to know his nationality with his passpot on him?Dude, the first thing in an emergency is to SAVE THE MAN'S LIFE. That is the first thing a paramedic does. Every second counts. |
