Joel will reportedly not return for Suicide Squad 2.

In fact both actor and the character Rick Flagg are not coming back.

Deadshot is the main leader through and through.

Maybe it's a good thing James Gunn is retaining Deadshot instead of replacing the character.

I still can't think of any other character to lead the team.

Rick Flagg is out, I like Joel...If you don't like Joel plz go and watch Altered Carbon.
WB didn't do the Rick Flagg character well... That was the problem not the actor.

But I won't miss Rick Flagg.

WB should replace him with a much stronger and better character....Bronze Tiger.

Idris Elba is IN TALKS to replace Will Smith as Deadshot in Suicide Squad 2 !!!


I love Idris Elba but honestly they should just move on from the Deadshot character if Will Smith isn’t returning to the role. It would just be weird seeing someone else in the role.

I don't think Idris Elba can play Deadshot with the same charisma that Will did..

Brie larson forcing people to chug "Feminism" , sexism and political correctness will be the downfall of this movie, most reviews are bypassing her performance and jumping straight to the conclusion that the movie is all about "women power" and having a super heroin lead.

Since you are going to watch Captain Marvel, I will advice you not to review and rate the movie after watching.

So DC are raising the ban on media embargo on the Shazam movie on the 7th which is almost 1 month before the movie,

They wouldn't be raising the social media embargo so early if they weren't confident that the movie will be greeted with positive reactions...

If they show Shazam family and Seven Deadly Sins, fans will complain that they showed the whole movie.

Now that David Sandberg is keeping the big surprises out of the trailers, some fans still think he should have showed more.

I'm glad he is avoiding the mistakes DC made especially with BVS and Doomsday reveal in the trailer.
Even the final shot of Aquaman holding the trident in his trailer was too big of a giveaway for me.

Shazam trailers got me excited without any big reveals and that is how it should be.

Funny thing is that most agreed with him.

I just listened to reports on YouTube stating that some critics and reviewers who were invited to see the movie at the world premiere yesterday were not impressed.

Most of them thought it was a good-but-not-great kind of movie, an average movie at best.

Now this is where it gets interesting...

Some of these critics have decided not to review the movie.
Because they are afraid that if they drop honest reviews, SJW's ,feminist and people pushing political agenda will come for them.
Honest criticism of Captain Marvel will face serious backlash.
So some critics have decided not to review the movie at all.

The others might play safe by giving the movie more positive reviews than it deserves just to avoid backlash.

Rotten Tomatoes score will be revealed tomorrow and I expect it to be in the 90's because it's a female led movie with feminism propaganda attached to it...

You are supposed to like Captain Marvel because if you don't, then you are a sexists, misogynistic and a hater of women.

Who knows by the end of the year it might get nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.

Replace Deadshot with another strong leader, someone like Bronze Tiger can definitely fill the void.

Since Suicide Squad is always changing members, it's pretty fair and normal if some characters from the first movie do not show up in a sequel.

Deadshot can still come back in a third film.

Rick Flag might return.
Harley Quinn's return is not really sure due to her escape from prison and her involvement with Birds of Prey.
But if she doesn't come back, I wanna see killer frost.
Black Spider should be added.

A really good villain is needed this time, someone like Bane.

According to an article I read, it is part of their new policy that audience can no longer make a review about a movie that hasn't debuted.

Though I have this feeling that CM would have a weak opening weekend, but if the movie is really good (according to test screening),word of mouth would prevent it from bombing though I don't wish that.

The timing is very suspicious.

They didn't change it when other movies were getting bashed before release.

It happens to Captain Marvel and they suddenly decide to change their website and hide user reviews and interest meter.

The timing is suspect and this is far from a coincidence.

Disney influence is already hovering over RT.

Disney is trying to protect their investment.

For those that don't understand what's going on, let me explain...

On Rotten Tomatoes there was this meter that calculates anticipation for every movie.

There was options such as "not interested " and "interested " .
If you are interested in a certain, you click the "interested" button, if you are not interested you click "not interested ".
Rotten Tomatoes weighs the choices and calculates anticipation for movies.

Captain Marvel interest rate dropped from 99% to an alarming level of 25%.
That is to say only 25% of RT users are interested in Captain Marvel.

Disney knew that this would harm Captain Marvel chances at the box office because apparently millions of people visit RT to check on a particular movie before watching it.
So imagine visiting Captain Marvel RT page only to see that interest rate is at a paltry 25%...

Disney had to do something to protect their investment.

I don't know what kind of deal or money they paid RT to hide the interest meter.

Someone said Disney has the media and critics in their back pocket and now I'm starting to believe it.

Many films has had low interest level before release and RT did nothing.
Captain Marvel interest meter drops to 25% and RT changes their website to protect the film.

What a shame...!!!

WB and James Gunn must figure out a way to fit her into the movie even it means shifting the production start date to avoid scheduling conflict.

Every character in Suicide Squad is replaceable except Amanda Waller.
I can't think of any other actress to play the part other than Viola Davis.

James Gunn should not remove all the good parts of Suicide Squad just because of this so called re-launch

I don't think they will recast him so the Deadshot character will be totally absent in Suicide Squad 2.

Deadshot has been in every Suicide Squad adaptation I have seen so I don't know how to deal with this news.

Another marksman is needed to replace Deadshot.

There is no Suicide Squad without a marksman in the team.

Another person that will likely not be in the next Suicide Squad is Margot Robbie due to her involvement with Birds of Prey.

Two good characters are absent, I hope they keep Viola Davis cuz if she's not there I gonna loose my cool.

I would have loved to check it out but the reviews I saw on RT, Metacritic and IMDb are very discouraging.

Bohemian Rhapsody is the movie that should be getting the kind of hype some average movies on this thread gets. The movie is very interesting. You won't be disappointed. The ending scene still gets re-watched by me once in a while. Prior to watching the movie, I never knew the band/musician that sang "We'll Rock You". It got life lessons to teach too. While at it, watch Green Book. Another interesting movie that's not getting much review on this thread.

Bohemian Rhapsody is really good, I enjoyed every bit of it. Great movie.
I don't know why folks don't talk about great movies like that.
Movies like Green Book, Bohemian Rhapsody are terribly under-hyped on this thread.

Most folks on this thread only raves about comic book movies everyday.

One of them even claimed that A Star Is Born is not good movie.
