I don't know, it's kind of hard to pick up sarcasm on the internet, so maybe.

I should have said "Nigerian-American", my point is a lot of Nigerian-Americans (at least where I am) prefer to try and assimilate themselves into Black American or Caribbean culture, rather than sticking with their own.

It's almost like some feel that just because they're Black they should try and emulate the behaviors of the Blacks here. It's embarrassing, but this is certainly not how the majority are.

Well, after being here in the states and seeing Nigerian after Nigerian trying to pass as a Black American or Caribbean, I don't see a lie in this.
