This is so hard, so many places to choose from. Here's my incomplete list of most beautiful places in Africa (outside Nigeria): Cape Town, South Africa https://farm2.static.flickr.com/1317/532074194_e396415006_b.jpg Baia Azul, Angola https://img514.imageshack.us/img514/6294/z1baiazulcm1.jpg Zanzibar, Tanzania https://www.shunya.net/Pictures/Tanzania/Zanzibar/Beach10.jpg All of Cape Verde https://www.ecaboverde.com/data/media/49/47390032.jpg Walvis Bay, Namibia https://www.uriadventures.com/photos/Image9.jpg Mombasa, Kenya https://img210.imageshack.us/img210/3631/mom39ts.jpg Dahlak Islands, Eritrea https://www.traveladventures.org/continents/africa/images/dahlak05.jpg Algeria's non-desert interior https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3181/3004010582_bf1d433b99_o.jpg Annobon Island, Equatorial Guinea https://www.visitguineaecuatorial.com/images/annobon2.jpg The Central Highlands of Kenya https://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z8/kenyandude/DSC_1202.jpg |
I will tell you now, building a subway in Lagos will not only be financially unfeasible, but will be much more difficult to build than it was in cities like New York, or London, or Moscow. Lagos has a lot of marshlands, meaning the soil is much more unstable, raising the costs to astronomical heights. If it were necessary, only one line would be needed on the busiest route in the metropolis. Everything else should be concentrated on an overground system consisting of: light rail, monorail, elevated rail, commuter rail, high speed train, and brt. |

If we don't act fast, deforestation is gonna to change not only the face of Igboland, but Africa forever. We as a continent are only second to South America when it comes to how fast deforestation is occurring. What's even worse is that after we cut the trees down, hardly anyone ever plants the seeds for new ones to grow. |
LOL, I've seen this video before, but it still never stops making me laugh. ![]() |
Great news! ![]() |
The outcome of this will be very interesting! |
Religion & politics are two extremely dangerous combinations. |
I really don't see the correlation. The appropriate name for this process is called 'urban renewal', which is desperately needed in Lagos. |
LOL @ "Mr. Tpia"! ![]() As to this adoption, I really never had a problem with it in the first place. The child is an orphan, with both parents dead, Madonna would have made sure this child had a wonderful life, great education, and above all, a loving family. But, now that this adoption bid has been denied, I think if she really cares about this child, she should either sponsor the little boy, or help raise the quality of life in the boys village. Build a school, health post, etc, that would benefit multiple children in need. |
asha 80:Unfortunately, yes, I did. . . |
UK Launches New Student Immigration System Abuja — Henceforth, Nigerian students who wish to study in the UK will be able to apply for their visa through Tier 4 of the new streamlined Points Based System. Under the new transparent system, Nigerian students will need to prove that they have been accepted onto a course run by an education institution which is a UK Border Agency (UKBA) licensed Tier 4 sponsor. They will also need to prove that they have the means to support themselves, and supply their biometric details at their nearest visa application centre. If granted a visa, the new regulations allow international students to undertake part-time work of up to 20 hours per week during term time, full time work during the holidays and undertake any course related work placements. Jason Ivory, the UKBA Operations Manager in a statement by the British High Commission, said "Nigerian students have a lot to gain from studying in the UK and can now see whether they are eligible for a visa before they even apply - making the system much clearer and easier to understand. The aim is to make the application process more transparent and straightforward. "For the first time, all independent fee-paying schools, colleges and universities that want to accept international students to study with them now need a licence to do so. "This will help the UK Government crack down on bogus colleges, something which will be welcome news to many Nigerian students." who can now be sure the language school, college or university they intend to study at is an approved educational institution. "So far over a thousand UK institutions have signed up to sponsor international students". http://www.vanguardngr.com/content/view/32622/47/ |

This is bullshit. I seriously doubt the 'goal' of 6,000MW will be met before the end of this year. |
