Callotti: No, because Nigeria always gets the kinds of leaders it deserves. A TRUE REPRESENTATION OF NIGERIANS.Thats exactly the point my brother. So why are Nigerians always saying the politicans are ruining the country when actually these politcians are a product of the masses? Seems Nigerians havent identified the real cause of her problems. |
Thats what Nigerians are expecting. They want responsible leaders while the masses retain their licence to be irresponsible. Is this possible? |
China may be behind the US. But lets not forget that sometimes like we have seen in sports, the 2nd or 3rd best can beat the champion. |
bid4rich: even me, why not, I can win.Your nose disqualifies you. |
goshen360: Well, I guess you are entering another realm now, the realm of instincts, naturally know between good and evil. You see, this is the way people lived before the completion of the bible. Now we have the complete bible, the complete written word,we have to live by it. My brother, I have seen shocking revelations in the word of God. Of course, we have to think independently but not against the will n word of God. I hope my point is clear sir.If you solely use the bible to determine the will of God, how would you handle confusing issues like blood transfusion not addressed in bible? Will you say because you considered such issues evil therefore everyone must consider it evil too? Don't you think intincts and personal beliefs should come in place and rescue the situation? |
goshen360: The bolded surprised me sir. Are you are believer?I don'tknow what you mean by believer. What am saying is read the bible and use your senses as well. Am only trying to make us think beyond what the bible says because people now depend on the bible for every answer. Now I have a question for you using the self service issue as an example again. if the bible wasn't in existence do you think you will be able to say that it is a wrong thing to do? I know you wouldn't. But without the bible we will still know that stealing isnt right. What am saying is we don't need a bible to tell us what is right or wrong. Your personal judgement and belief is what matters most. |
goshen360: Permit me to treat this issue with you sir.I used the issue of self service as an example to illustrate a point. I think we need to stop over relying on the bible. We have to start thinking independently without using those accient scriptures having loop holes here and there. God is with us and he gave us enough wisdom too see things ourselves without those scriptures. You cant just swallow the bible hook, line and sinker |
People have different opinions of what is a sin and what is not a sin. Some people use the bible to decide what is a sin while others just base their decision on what they feel. The bible did not give a complete list of all the sins in full details so there are issues that make people undecided whether its a sin or not. But there is a verse in bible which addressed this state of confusion. I can't remember the location of the verse but that is to me the most important verse and the centre of gravity I found in the bible. The verse said something like; whatever it is your mind tells you is sin and you do it, you have commited a sin. And whatever you do with a strong belief that it isn't a sin, you wouldn't commit a sin by doing it even if others think it is a sin. Let me use the following example to explain. If someone confidently believes that self service is not a sin, he wouldn't sin by doing it. Even if the bible says self service is a sin, it is a sin to the bible writer and not necessarily to everyone one else depending on the mind. If you believe self service is a sin and you do it, you have definitely commited a sin cos you have taken it upon yourself that what your mind believes is God's word. Therefore going against it is equivalent to disobeying God. There are sins like stealing and killing which every sane human being knows its wrong therefore no nobody can have that confident belief that stealing and killing is not a sin. |
I laugh at this thread. How many of us have used both samsung and sharp LCD TV's to qualify to drop a comment on this thread? Even those repyling don't know shiit about both TV's. |
Maybe its good news so that if Nigeria becomes too jagged to live in we can exit the country through 1,500 routes without traffic conjestion. |
You guys detest chinese made phones. So how would you then buy Nigerian made phones? |
^^^Because it isnt lagos you think it shouldnt deserve it? |
Just some huuus and haaas thats all. Anyway, those posted to the north will need it most. |
Adults reason like kids sometimes. |
Well, am sorry but this thread is really a childish one. Maybe a 15 year old actually opened this thread |
Wow! N5000? So cheap! Who are those responsible for fixing it? |
Actually am not into websites, but I wish to ask this question for a purpose. Apart from the design cost of creating a website, how much does it cost to set the website up and running online? And also who are those responsible for fixing it up online? Lets use a website with a capacity as Nairaland for example. |
I prefer qwerty phones cos I like my phone screen clean and free from finger obstructions. |
@docjay. What are you talking about? |
@kokoye. Please rephrase your statement for better understanding. Is a confident man the one who is noticably fond of ladies? |
^^^expected that sort of repy |
Am a type of guy who doesn't notice ladies or stare unecessarily and stupidly at them like some guys do. Even when I see a lady with physical features worth admiring, I take a quick glance and retract my eyes instantly. Also my rule is that if I have feelings for a lady, she must not notice it from my actions till I approach her and tell her. I confidently toast ladies only when it's necessary and very conducive, and when I get the slighest sense it's not working out well or the lady is feeling disturbed, I withdraw immediately. I can be in a room with a lady for hours and wouldn't utter a single word unlike some guys who wouldn't waste a second opening a conversation with her. So what kind of a person would you say I am? |
mtchew. I don't even know what the hell you guys are talking about. Honestly it is the corrupt minds that will pay attention to irrelevant stuffs such as this. |
Hmm. Seems everyone is working (including me). I guess this thread will get sticky by the evening hours when most of us should be through with the day's work. Uhm. . . But how come everyone is working? I thought the unemployement figures in naija is so high? Anyway, maybe the unemployed ones are really busy in the valentine action and without time to visit nairaland. Let me wait till night when everyone is done for the day. |
Everyone should free to post and update his/her val activities in this thread. Nairalanders will like to know the good, the funny, the bad and the ugly turn out events of your valentines day. Keep it coming. |
