Bro l think the proudness is justified. Do you know many tribal languages are spoken in Africa? Nigeria alone has over 30. Why was yoruba chosen among the multitude of African languages?

It has to do with racism. Shouldn't you feel excited that the race that enslaved the African continent and believes that blacks are sub humans are happily singing in your tribal language?

After all, we africans speak all sorts of european languages from french to spanish to english to portuguese and I don't see oyibo giving us a standing ovation or any sort of acknowledgement. I don't know why we naijas always need some of validation or another from oyibos when they are just mere mortals. Its quite irritating.

Most churches in Nigeria promoting the teachings of the bible tell the followers to give to the less privilaged. In other words, those who have excess should help those who have less, but these churches have suprisenly become institutions that do the opposite by using the same name of God to extract money from the poor congregation to sustain the already made rich pastors. Nowadays the church is where the poor gives to the rich.

If anyone can't read english, then he or she can't be able to read pigin english as well. And if anyone can read pigin english, it means he or she will be able to read and understand english.

No need to reply the trash posts from omega and iice. Am not a newbie here, so i expected the usual stupid assumptions posters cook up.

It appears that Nigerians care to learn about their leaders after the elections rather than before the elections . That is when people see that they have voted for the wrong person. A clear example is the case with Jonathan and most governors. Many voted for Jonathan and are now complaining. If this is the case don't you think Nigerians will probably vote for another incompetent leader in 2015 and continue complaining as the cycle goes on? So what is the need for elections in Nigeria if Nigerians can blindly and massively vote for the wrong leader?
