PoliticsRe: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Blackteeth(m): 8:13pm On Jan 21, 2012
Nashville, do you think tackling corruption is all about utilizing only the incorruptible people to do the job? That would NEVER work. Its only when we re-invent the system in such a way that a corrupt person has no free pass to steal that we see good results.
The system is the problem, not the people cos people will always be corrupt if given that opportunity that exists in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Blackteeth(m): 8:03pm On Jan 21, 2012
We would be respected by foreigners ONLY when we learn to tackle our issues ourselves.
On the other hand, we may choose to remain the inferior beings by sitting back and calling outsiders for help always. Therefore telling the whole world that tackling corruption and providing good governance is beyond the capacity of a blackman.
PoliticsRe: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Blackteeth(m): 7:55pm On Jan 21, 2012
@Nashville. Foreigners exploring our oil and handling our construction projects is also shamefull bro.
Like I said earlier, its better we get the training from them and do it properly than for them to handle any jobs in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Blackteeth(m): 7:48pm On Jan 21, 2012
@Ngwakwe. Its better we appoint a Ghanaian expert than an American expert. Appointing a non black will only serve to add substance to the racial theory held by whites
PoliticsRe: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Blackteeth(m): 7:37pm On Jan 21, 2012
@kay-dee. The poster should have mentioned TRAINING rather than appointing a foreigner.
PoliticsRe: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Blackteeth(m): 7:32pm On Jan 21, 2012
@Nashville. What exactly do you mean by saying "the poster said foreigners and not whites"? Are we going to seek the help of the arabs or the latinos? Who do you think we would likely consult for help if we needed it urgently? Don't tell me it wouldn't be whites please.
Secondly, it would be better to dispatch some Nigerians to the foreigners overseas for adequate training than for us to appoint a foreigner on our soil to do the job we Nigerians should do. Thats a shame. This is not an option.
PoliticsRe: Our Next Ig Should Be A Foreigner by Blackteeth(m): 6:46pm On Jan 21, 2012
Bullshit!! Am very suprised that everyone is agreeing to this stupid idea. This idea you all are agreeing to is just an indirect way of admiting that we black africans are inferior to the foreigners (whites), and we are not intelligent enough to solve our problems. I hope you guys wouldn't be upset when a whiteman says we blacks have lower IQ to solve problems. Why keep denying that black africans are inferior human species when our actions prove otherwise? Why can't we africans solve our problems and prove to foreigners that we are much as capable as they are since we deny we are not inferior? Disgusting!!!

I think distance will be a problem. Am at the south east at the moment and if you are at the west or north, how do we do the exchange?

These is no way Nigerians can stop being corrupt just like that without enforcing merciless and strict penalties on offenders including the president.

RomanceLadies Do You Read Your Facebook Messages At All? by Blackteeth(op): 10:43pm On Jan 18, 2012
Am asking this question because am very aware that ladies recieve hundreds of messages from guys in their facebook inbox and probably don't read them at all cos they know exactly what the messages are all about.
I sent some messages to my sister and a close female friend but I didn't get the reply I needed from them. I checked their walls and saw their recent activities which shows they have logged in after I sent the messages.
Ladies do you read your facebook messages or are you tired of reading the loads of messages from guys?
Am sure I would get good answers here. I trust nairaland romance on this issue.

PoliticsDo We Need A Newspaper Version In The Model Of Nairaland In The Streets? by Blackteeth(op): 4:44pm On Jan 15, 2012
I doubt if our leaders in the National Assembly, executive and beyond do visit Nairaland at all. ((If at all most of them can use laptops and browse)) But am sure they certainly read the newspapers. Unfortunately these newspapers convey only the thoughts of the article writers. So how would these men of power get the thoughts and opinions of the general public? Wouldn't it be better to have an existing publication resembling a newspaper but only publishes the comments of thousands of Nigerians on various issues to make it more likely to be read by our leaders? For instance, just like converting the pages of Nairaland from a softcopy on PC to a hardcopy on paper to gain wide readership. I think our leaders will be forced to sit up by the time they read through many of the typical fierce and horror comments of individual Nigerians just like the ones here on Nairaland.

In spite of the nysc scheme, tribalism in Nairaland is hitting the rooftops.
In spite of the nysc scheme tribe is very important in Nigerian politics. AkA zoning
PoliticsVoting And Regretting by Blackteeth(op): 12:59pm On Jan 15, 2012
I find it disturbing to read when people say they regret voting for GEJ.
Honestly, Nigeria at this juncture doesn't need these kind of mistakes when we are supposed to be an impatient nation rushing towards development. How are we sure you wouldn't keep voting and regretting again and again in future elections? Na wetin we go dey see?

PoliticsSay Something On The Subsidy Issue In One Short Sentence by Blackteeth(op): 9:53pm On Jan 14, 2012
A lot of us are making many intelligent and intresting comments about the issue of subsidy, but these wise comments by posters are scattered and hidden in many lenghty posts in many threads running into pages, therefore making it difficult for some of us who lack the time to read through all the lenghty threads to have a full grasp of everything involved in this subsidy thing.
For this reason, I decided to create this thread to enable us drop our thoughts concerning the subsidy issue IN JUST ONE SHORT SENTENCE, So that those of us who can't read through every lenghty post and thread can have a quick full grasp of the wise opinions of every poster here.
Please drop your thoughts on subsidy removal IN ONE SHORT SENTENCE. Even if you disagree with a poster, drop your reply IN ONE SHORT SENTENCE.
PoliticsRe: P/harcourt Refineries To Work At Full Capacity By November – Nnpc by Blackteeth(m): 6:10pm On Jan 13, 2012
Then let them revert the price of fuel to N65 and remove the so-called subsidy in november if the refinery will start working at full capacity by then.
Besides how are we sure the refineries haven't been working at full capacity and they keep decieving us?
