ablyguy: From your post, I'm guessing you didn't do a rom backup first. I hope you have a custom recovery sha, if so you can try installing a custom rom and see if the issue will go away |

4llerbuntu: Do you have the manual? If so check that, if not you can try searching for it (but I would have thought the normal login would be an admin sha) Maybe you would have to reset the CPE (if it's an indoor one) |

Fortune440: I'm guessing your phone is rooted right? If so, install link2sd, open it, grant root access, scroll down to one of the keyboard apps, select and tap the menu (the 3 dots at the upper right corner of the screen. in the options that come up, select convert to system app. Restart your phone and make the keyboard default. Let me know if the problem still persists |

Fortune440: You're telling me that in language/input settings, there was originally no default keyboard? Which keyboard did you install? Is that the default keyboard now? Why not try installing a second keyboard like flexkey or Swype or TouchPal and making that default? |

Diseye29: So you have a Samsung Galaxy tab 3g lite? Check this site for instructions on getting a stock ROM: https://samsung-firmware.org/download/GALAXY-Tab-3-Lite-3G/1j69/ECT/T111NQXXUANJ1/T111NQOJPANJ2/ I just hope it isn't a Chinese clone sha. Can you upload another picture with the processor section explained? |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 2:46am On Sep 08, 2016 |
Diseye29: I mean the manufacturer and make. Telling me your phone is a Samsung for example doesn't help me, there are different kinds of Samsung. If on the other hand you say it's a dual sim Samsung Galaxy core prime, then I can work with that I don't need to know the android version, I need the phone make If you don't know how to check, you can install this app from the play store, you will get the information : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dama.hardwareinfo |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 10:50am On Sep 07, 2016 |
Diseye29: what is the model of your phone? sounds like the rom was customised. your best bet is to flash another rom -unless the hardware was customised, in which case I'm not sure there is anything you can do |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 8:35pm On Sep 06, 2016 |
igbsam: I am confused, how did you flash cm13? How did you do a backup of the stock rom? Also, which recovery are you using? Clockworkmod or Twrp? By the way the backup will be in a folder by either of those names, inside the internal memory |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 6:09pm On Sep 05, 2016 |
ayibaba: I said from the play store, not from another phone. When you say "not working", do you mean not installing or installing but not opening? |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 3:01pm On Sep 05, 2016 |
igbsam: Why not try flashing cm10 or 11 (those are the versions that correspond with jellybean and kitkat respectively). By the way if you would rather continue with cm13 and have your space back, in recovery mode you can probably find the folder that is taking up the space (it's the backup of your jellybean). Move it to sdcard or delete it |

kaze4blues: When did this problem start? Is it running stock rom or a custom rom? Did you buy it brand new or it was fairly used from Europe/us? What is the model number? |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 6:28am On Sep 02, 2016 |
adanny01: Looks to me like you have too many system apps running. You should stop some of them - especially those you don't use much. As for the Odin issue, the problem might actually be the drivers/samsung software you have on your laptop. You can try connecting another Samsung device and see if odin will recognize it. If not then the problem is definitely on your pc |

Livefreeordieha: So you're saying your phone isn't coming on at all? By the way the first link in my previous post is a link to a stock rom, and it also comes with a scatter file. That said if the phone powers up but hangs before it gets to the lock screen, you can try a factory reset first, check this link : http://www.hardreset.info/devices/huawei/huawei-p8-lite-ale-l04/ I know it's not exactly the same model as your phone but the process should work all the same |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 8:17pm On Aug 31, 2016 |
Livefreeordieha: Sorry I don't, but on doing a search I saw this site: http://www.carbontesla.com/2015/11/huawei-p8-lite-ale-l21-stock-b170-lollipop-firmware/ But if your phone is working and you just want to generate a scatter file you can check this site for info on doing just that : https://forum..com/thread-87.html Then again, the rom you're trying to flash should have come with a scatter file anyway. Might I ask, what exactly are you trying to do? |

femijck: Why not install another camera app and see if that will work |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 1:35pm On Aug 29, 2016 |
Edygrin: Nope, the process of flashing a new rom clears all system apps - however if you're installing an ota update (as opposed to flashing stock or custom roms) some oems do not allow updating rooted phones |

Eddodoh: I've experienced it before, although then my phone had ~512mb ram. Are you by any chance using ram expander? If so then you're probably going to have that kind of problem |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 10:59am On Aug 29, 2016 |
Eddodoh: Seems like a memory problem, you probably have too many apps running at once. One app that could help is greenify. You can get it from the play store |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 9:55am On Aug 29, 2016 |
sugarboii: The problem is that you have installed malware that is among your system apps. If your phone is rooted and you know what app is causing it, you can remove the app manually. Otherwise you will have to flash a stock or a custom rom. On the other hand, you could try getting an antivirus from the play store, though I don't know if that will work 1 Like |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 3:28pm On Aug 28, 2016 |
sugarboii: You can go to this site, here you will find info on rooting, installing a custom recovery and installing a custom rom for your phantom z http://www.guruswizard.com/2015/08/install-blisspop-rom-android-51-lollipop-tecno-phantom-z-mini.html?m=1 If you will rather have the stock rom you can go to this site instead : http://www.aryktech.com/2016/07/tecno-phantom-z-a7-stock-rom-download.html?m=1 |

pcguru1: Good for you; agree with the unity, everything else nah. Not really a fan of the plasma -especeially kde5.x. Maybe i'm just old fashioned o, took me a while to take to kde4.x sef. Haven't taken to gnome3 or unity. I stand with mate/Xfce. I'm still ok with cinnamon though. Maybe it's because my hardware has never been high end sha. When you start your desktop environment and your system is crawling, then you have to spend lots of time disabling all the compositing so you can get sensible enough performance. And gnome3 still makes some things that should be basic difficult 1 Like |

coldthings: It's not impossible, since it has a mediatek cpu, i'm guessing mtk8382 check this site : http://www.mtkroms.com/2015/03/philz-touch-recovery-for-all-mtk-devices.html it might work for you |
Phones / Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by blackweaver(m): 1:03pm On Aug 16, 2016 |
coldthings: Try to install a custom recovery, backup the rom then do a factory reset. Maybe that will work |

coldthings: what is the name (brand/model) of the tablet? That's the first thing you need to list before we can decide whether someone can help. Also, is it rooted, do you have a custom recovery? How was it bricked? |

4llerbuntu: never had to or tried to, I always use the wifi of the modem. Any reason why you're trying to do so? |
