uzoexcel:What about redhat or scientific linux? If it has a provision for any of them it will work for centos |
Geebanks:Does it have removable battery? If so, remove the battery for a few seconds then put it back in. If not you might try holding the power button for up to 15 secs. I don't know if that would work but it's worth a try |
kogbaski99:depends on how much you're willing to spend, some would say the samsung s7/ s7 edge, i don't know if the s8 /s8 edge have reached here. But best is relative |
nonsoroyalty:check this site on how to root the phone http://rootoreviews.com/root-BLU-Studio-6.0-LTE-install-twrp-custom-recovery |
nonsoroyalty:so are you saying you don't have a custom recovery? How did you root the phone? |
nonsoroyalty:yes, you have to flash in in using clockworkmod or twrp the same way you would flash a custom rom |
nonsoroyalty:I was going to recommend downloading and flashing opengapps, but on checking the specs of your phone I realise it comes with android 4.3. Unfortunately the minimum version that opengapps supports is android 4.4 However if you have a custom recovery on your phone (cwm or twrp) you can try downloading flashing from here: http://www.teamandroid.com/gapps/ or you can try downlloading from here: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/google-play-store-4-3-11-3-release/google-play-store-4-3-11-android-apk-download/ I don't know if any of the apks there will work though |
franklyyou:i haven't been able to find a stock rom for the device but i noticed it has similar specs with blu studio 6 lte. you could try downloading the rom from here https://shareaz.us/stockrom-for-android/other/blu-stockrom/blu-studio-6-0-lte-y650q-stockrom.html i hope you have a custom recovery, back up what you have in case this doesn't work |
franklyyou:what version of android is your phone running? How much ram do you have on it? |
franklyyou:what app did you use to delete/restore? |
purplekayc:If this is ubuntu or an ubuntu derivative (kubuntu, ubuntu mate, xubuntu, lubuntu, mint or other distros based off any of these) then the sudo password should be the normal login password, else if you have root password you can su to root andrun whatever command you want |
I can see that so many people never actually bother to read the story So because the man refused to pay, you're saying it's not rape? They had an agreement, the business was supposed to be conducted in a hotel. While on the way to the hotel the man attacked her, forcefully had sex with her, attempted to strangle her and also robbed her. Let's even assume that because she's a commercial sex worker she can't be raped (which is bullcrap by the way) what about the robbery and attempted murder? How come no one is talking about that? |
TerrorSquad:That's because it started from the northwest |
Well for the Mint people there's always debian unstable, and i'm not sure ubuntu is totally ditching linux after all the kubuntu, xubuntu, lubuntu ubuntu mate communities will still be active. Anyway we'll see how thing turn out in the next few years |
oketoyinboshola:ouch! might be a corrupt filesystem, hopefully it's not the storage that is corrupt |
Never took to gnome 3 or unity myself, for me it has always been either xubuntu or Ubuntu mate. I don't really dig kde5 either |
oketoyinboshola:Memory card or internal memory? If it's memory card, it might be corrupt in which case you need to get a new one |
tmanis:Why not put back original sims and enable them first? Then you can see about changing the sim lock pin |
HadeedHarry:Try flashing another firmware, you can do a Google Search. I found this link, perhaps it can help : https://firmwarefile.com/lenovo-s890 |
Idolys:Root your phone, install a custom recovery (twrp or clockworkmod), back up the current state of the phone then install an app like titanium backup or link2sd. Both apps have functionality to remove system apps but they need root permission. The custom recovery is so that if the phone doesn't work properly when you remove a system app, you can always restore to the previous state For the com.android.position issue, that sounds like a location problem. If you don't use your phone for GPS and don't use based location services (eg uber) you can always turn location off in settings. Conversely you can install greenify and hibernate all those apps and cutoff wakeup paths - note greenify is more effective when your phone is rooted |
HadeedHarry:Lenovo s380? Can't find any information about the phone or do you mean a380? |
HadeedHarry:Have you tried doing a factory reset? |
HadeedHarry:Have you tried using another browser? |
miketayo:OK, never owned iOS or windows phones before |
miketayo:it might not work if your phone is stuck in a bootloop. I'm speaking from experience |
can we know the contents of the log file? That's the only way we can figure out what's wrong |
miketayo:I remember an instance when I flashed a custom rom via twrp on my phone with a non-removable battery. When I restarted the phone it entered a bootloop and I couldn't power it down and it wouldn't enter recovery either . The first time that happened I had to let the battery run down before I could enter recovery and restore my backup. Later on I found out I could have flashed another rom with spflashtool. Even then flashing with spflashtool takes a longer time and I will still have to flash back my previous rom. With a removable battery I can just remove the battery, put it back, boot into recovery and restore backup. I remember another instance where a friends phone had hung and he hadn't been able to power it down. It turned out he needed to put it under a certain amount of illumination before holding the power button long enough would work. Personally I don't believe one is better than the other, people just have preferences. I prefer removable so I don't have to press a button for a certain amount of time before I can power down a phone. |
Intel processor, ayanma! Good luck rooting the phone |
Frenzy007:You used lucky patcher on your play store? Well that could affect it sha |
uzoexcel:For me the 2 biggest differences between using Ubuntu and redhat- based distros are the package managers/package types (rpm vs deb) and the system daemon types (systemd Vs upstart I believe) I don't think you should have too much problems with the gui. However get used to using su rather than sudo and yum instead of apt-get |
Frenzy007:Well rooting with kingroot shouldn't stop your phone from accessing the play store. can all your other apps access the internet? Anyway let me know if you can access the play store after uninstalling the playstore updates |
Frenzy007:try uninstalling the play store (uninstall updates) then try to access and update your play store again. Rooting should never affect your play store. How did you root the phone anyway? |
