Romance › Re: How Long To Propose by blank(f): 11:59am On Nov 30, 2011
Pls, follow ur heart. Do not let these people discourage you. The important thing is for him to have the same mindset. Do not date someone who believes that dating is for fun. Date someone who believes that dating is to find that partner that will end in marriage. In 6 months, d guy already knows if he will marry u or not. That he does not propose does not mean he does not know though i will suggest u make it 1 year.

I had your mentality when i was entering first year. I believed that any dating should lead to marriage. When i started dating my first and only boyfriend after knowing him for a year, my girlfriends laughed at me and told me that he was taking me for a ride, how can a 21 year old (just cos he is in final year) be talking marriage and u believe him. Fast forward a couple of years and out of my group of 8 friends, we are just 2 that are married and we married our university boyfriends. Because before entering that relationship, we weighed them if they were husband material and if they were marriage minded. Dating for the fun of dating is crap.

About the no sex before marriage, i hope u get ur wish.

In all these, what is d man (boy) saying? Can't stand people who are too stupid and that is what he was (is). So, if he had continued fooling the parents what would he have become?
Pls, if he is mean to his younger ones, scold him very well. Why should he transfer his frustrations to his siblings? Whatever u decide to do, make sure he has to work part time and fend for himself. Agbaya oshi.

Let him take responsibility for his life and his mistakes. If he wants to lay around and waste his life, let him do so but not in your house. At 24 yrs, he still needs to be treated like a baby. I feel like giving him a very serious thrashing for wasting your money and his time doing nothing. He must be one of those boys (u see dem all the time in school) laying around and doing nothing. They will smoke, drink, chase girls and cause damage in the school cos they are lazy and silly.

Did he think he will never be found out? Why did he not start the cisco or wharreva while he was whiling away time in the uni? There is a point where u av to let averyone face their own paths in life. If that is what he wants, leave him be.
Food › Re: Nigerian Vegetarians i.e. Vegetarians In Nigeria by blank(f): 9:41am On Nov 28, 2011
It is difficult and sooo annoying. People keep asking, why are u not putting meat in your food, don't u av money? How can u put food without meat? When you want to order food, sorry, the meat comes with the food. Any meat with that? No meat?

Then, there is absolutely no hang out that there won't be different smells of meat. I like eating meat so it is hard to resist but i still hold on firmly to the believe that meat is not healthy at all.

I use etisalat on my BB 9700. This is what I did. I downloaded desktop manager. Then used the internet settings for etisalat. It didn't configure well. So I opened my network options on my pc, then set it to dial up. No username but etisalat as password and voila, been using my BIS to browse since then.

Family › Re: did Your Parents tell You How They Met? by blank(f): 4:07pm On Nov 25, 2011
My parents were in primary school together and lived on the same street. My dad used to tease my mum and pull her hair cos she was quiet and my dad was over playful. One day, she reported him and they flogged him. From there he mellowed. Later, my mum moved to Rivers state and they only used to see whenever she came home visiting.

They hooked up when my dad returned from his uni in UK and met up in Uniben where my mum was in final year and he was doing his masters. they hooked up and broke up, hooked up and broke up, and so on and so on. Then my dad heard that one permanent secretary wanted to marry my mum and then he went with his people to her parents and told them he wanted to marry their daughter (talk about preemptive strike). They called her in and asked her about the perm sec and she declined and said she wanted my dad. Then they got married, had us kids and for 30 years now, still going strong.

We are family friends with that perm sec (the guy later married after many disasters). We still tease my mum that she would av been married to one yellow pawpaw.
