The Australian Sally Pearson was disqualified along with the British Turner for a false start. Get your story right. |
Was Bayelsa United relegated? |
Pls what is the status on the league? I have not been around. |
brodaluv:Is this the same girl? |
johnie:This na serious jamb question which i refuse to answer. |
The reason why no one is replying is because it is an old story that had made front page a while ago with many responses. The follow up story also made the front pages not too long ago ( i think this week). I just feel this story making the front pages is an overkilll cos there is nothing left to be said except "nice one". |
Easier said than done. |
Thank God i moved from that axis. |
Your baby is so cute. Looks very igbo to me (maybe cos the child is so fair). Cheers |
SA Mercenary with 17,000 Ammunition Linked to Nigeria A large quantity of ammunition which was allegedly stolen from the Hoedspruit air force base in South Africa has been found on a farm near Carolina in Mpum-alanga, News24.com reported yesterday. The approximately 17,000 rounds, of which more than half are for R4 assault rifles, were found in a house rented by a former air force flight instructor. The suspect, whose identity is known to Beeld, is currently in Nigeria where he is supposedly working as a mercenary. The police carried out the raid on the farm Jaglus, about 10km outside Carolina, on Monday night after receiving a tip-off about the ammunition. The suspect rents a house on the farm. Three firearms (for which the suspect does have licences) were also seized. These firearms are a 9mm pistol, a .303 and a .22 rifle. The police also suspect that there are illegal firearms in a second safe discovered in the house. Apparently this second safe will only be opened once the suspect has returned to South Africa. The information about where the ammunition was kept was apparently given to police after they conducted a raid last week on Willem Ratte and nine other men. Leonard Hlathi, spokesperson for the unit against organised crime in Mpumalanga, confirmed that the seized ammunition is being kept at the police station in Carolina. He could not say whether there is any link between the raids on Ratte and the farm at Carolina. The ammunition also included hundreds of 12-gauge, .22, .303 and 9mm rounds. Meanwhile Beeld has determined that plans are being made to bring the suspect back to South Africa from Nigeria by the weekend. http://www.thisdayonline.info/nview.php?id=184633 |
Moderators, if you feel it is inappropriate, just delete the topic and don't ban me. I am looking for information. Just returned to Nigeria from a long stay in UK and found dat i can't access my bank accounts and school info successfully. Someone said it is because thay have banned ip addresses that are from Nigeria. So, how do i change it to one from UK so i can pay some bills dat are outstanding? Thanks |
How was it resolved on house? |
^^^^^^ I lived in Abuja for a very long time and i have never been to Lugbe, Kubwa, Nyanya, etc. I dont really believe those places are part of Abuja. |

No bomb, just rumours. Got that from a close relative who is a director there. They just increased security after the rumour started going round and called in anti-bomb unit in case it was actually true. |
I understand that you are writing of your experiences but I still prefer Abuja 2 Lagos. I have lived in both places for an extended number of years and can say, without mincing words, that Abuja is 100% better. I lived in Garki for a long while. It was so beautiful. Everything worked. I had water from water board, electricity was almost 100% (we never owned a gen cos dere was no need). Traffic in town was only on the way 2 the markets, no robbery, beautiful parks 2 relax. Beautiful. Then had 2 move back 2 Lagos. Even though I lived in VI, the traffic was a nightmare. I never had any reason 2 go to the mainland so I can't comment on that. LASTMA will harrass u, roass were terrible, everywhere was noisy. No wonder Lagosians are more aggressive. Finally moved 2 d Mainland where I get lost everyday cos there are no appropriate directions on d signboards and these BRT buses are too reckless. No place 2 obtain a map of Lagos. Anytime I need a break, I go straight 2 Abuja so I can still feel that I am part of a developed place. Unfortunately, since el-rufai left, Abuja has started going 2 d dogs again. If I can get a civil service job in Abuja n my husband can be transferred there, I would like 2 raise my kids there. |
I dropped off a friend at d airport last week. She was flying 2 Benin with Aero. They sent her a text a day b4 dat the flight had been cancelled n she should call a certain nos. She wasn't able 2 call immediately as we were quite busy. Aero called back n said she could be on the next flight (d next day) as they av only one flight per day but if she wanted a refund, she would av 2 come 2 their office. they were so apologetic. Just keep trying n u will get thru. |
I thought u were leaving Nairaland 4 good. What a relief. I av never gotten used 2 d British weather. The summer always felt cold n I wore my jacket throughout. Can't wait 2 be back in Naija. |
Wow! So much anger n bitterness. Wish we could progress 2 a point where we can share different viewpoints n opinions n still be civil. However, it is very sad dat a big propagator is a moderator n can spew such abusive words which are contrary 2 d rules n regulations of Nairaland. Though, I can't say I am surprised as I know that he is usually like that. Would just like everyone 2 be more civil especially d moderator. Show some good leadership. I still stand on the Nigerian law dat makes sodomy illegal in Nigeria. |
My parents always gave each of us a hug, a peck n den told us how much they loved us n den we return d actions n words. In d mornings, my mum always woke us up with a gentle shake n sometimes with a peck. She would ask how our nights were with a loving look. When we were ready 4 school, she would give each of us a hug n tell us dat she loved us. Now that we are all grown up, it is not as frequent. We hardly even say it on d phone now. So sad. |
My younger brother's name is Chisom. In fact, it was until recently dat I knew females also bear d name cos other guys also bear d name. |
I remember when I was in secondary school like Js2. We had an excursion 2 Apapa Club. At a point we all went swimming. I wore a one piece bathing suit that ties at the neck. While swimming, I jumped out of d pool as part of a game. Unfortunately, my swimming trunk came undone n showed d world my breasts. I quickly dived back down but not before overhearing one of the boys in my class say, "she doesn't even have breasts sef". I was so mortified dat I stayed in d bus till d end of the excursion. |
Sodomy is illegal and against d laws of Nigeria. |

IBB is trying 2 re-invent himself n d past n now dis liar is trying his hand at it. They think Nigerians r fool's. I dislike liars. |
Nice 2 know u both will be going with your husba ;Dnds. |
^^^^^ Which league is dat? Definitely not Premiership. |
I thank God 4 d companies I av worked in. Such practices r unheard of. For all those people commending Glo, I doubt u understand what they are trying 2 say. The employment contract doesn't specify dat any part of the salary should be tied to performance. Most companies give a percentage of their profit as bonus to workers based on the worker's performance. It may be written in the employment contract or mite just be best practice of the company. Glo is being underhand in dir dealings. U av to let the staff know upfront dat half of what is written in dir contacts is tied 2 performance so dat dey can better evaluate d offer. |
Wow. I can't believe dat dis thread has been resurrected and the same opinions are still being bandied around. I think it should be given a rest as no one is ready to give ground. Everyone should hold on to their opinions if it would make them happy. My opinion as a married woman still stands, a married man/woman should not be found ina a club alone. If it is really scratching u, go together and av fun n den come back n screw urselves blind. |
I see where you are coming from with this. I like the whole feeling of weddings and blissfulness as well. Where is it that you meet the men that you date? And if you don't mind me asking, what country do you currently live in?
Tracey121:Your word is as good as shit to me cos you av shown yourself 2 be a liar. |
Tracey, u are a big time liar. U said u are honest n u don't tell lies dat is why u are looking 4 an honest man. How come on d first page u said u were in South Africa now u are a Nigerian living in Abuja? U can go ahead n modify your post cos I am using my phone so I can't quote it. If you can contradict urself in a single thread n even admit dat some are exaggerations den it calls into question all your posts. I think you are an attention seeker. In response 2 ur topic, I hope u get ur heart's desire. |
