cupidhero: I don't see any reason why someone should go to church with an ipad. especially the members. i'm open to digitalization of every printed work like novels, magazine's and shit but replacing a bible or koran or any other sacred text with a gadget is stupid. people do this because they usually see their pastors doing it. The pastors use Ipads cos it accelerates their movements in the pulpit and bible chapters can easily be accessed. it does not mean the pastor does not own a bible at home. In line with what you said, how does bringing an IPAD to Church mean you don't own a Bible at home? |

honeric01: Can you take a loan on the phone? especially N27M?
"Whether I am on a red, green or black, please honour it", do you think this indicates a loan or does it not sound like someone issuing out a check but not sure if his account balance can cover for the amount on the check? That is an overdraft which is a type of loan the same way a mortgage is a type of loan. |

KingRuckus: You mean getting a domiciliary account? That's a great idea if it's allowed. I don't know about the present rules but when I did, I had a domicilliary acct and kept the money for the 28 days. Bought over time whenever the rates favoured me. Didn't get any queries on that and got my student visa. |

justwise: That is all you need to do, deposit complete amount of money covering your fees and maintenance money and leave it for 28days before printing the bank statement. you can't contro exchange rate. I wonder why people prefer to keep the amount in naira when exchange rate can be unfavourable esp in Sept. Why not get the money in pounds? That's what I did and didn't bother about exchange rates and stuff. |

Obiagelli: Buhari’s exact words below, you might not necessarily have to tender an apology sis. Pay attention to the bolded part, he wasn't emphatic about a loan.
“But I felt heavily sorry for myself because I don’t want to go and ask somebody to pay for my nomination forms, because I always try to pay myself, at least for the nomination.
“N27 million is a big sum, thankfully I have personal relationship with the manager of my bank in Kaduna and I told him that very soon the forms are coming, so, whether I am on red, or green or even black please honour it otherwise I may lose the nomination. Asking to honour a cheque regardless of how much you have in the account is an overdraft which is a type of loan. |

He has sold his soul to the devil(Gej)-PDP- for a piece of cake I don't think so. If defecting to another party is a way to get a tested performer to be in government, i will support it 100%. Nuhu Ribadu will always have my vote and i know he can transform whatever ministry he finds himself. However, putting Obi as a junior minister will not get the best out of him. |

Married women are fat and should not wear tight/revealing/short clothes.
I think that is the general idea.
Once, you give birth, you will start looking like a married woman cos u will add weight. |

The guy has shown his hand. Even if he had plans of marrying you, the money ish scattered everything. The way he is going now, its as if he has given up on you and was just waiting for you to be the one to do the breaking up, happens all the time.
What you should do now is to leave him alone. Break off all communication and start your life afresh. The more you hang on to him, the more he will treat you like dirt cos it will seem like you are desperate. That is my advice. |

Copy and paste from Google From the matchstick puzzle "HOTEL", the girl removed one matchstick from the letter "O" which have four matchsticks and turned the three matchsticks to letter "A" and put the matchstick she removed on the letter "L" to form a letter "U". Now the puzzle word "HOTEL" becomes a two word "HATE U" which is the answer of the girl why she didn`t come to the hotel. Therefore, the correct answer to this riddle is the girl may either remove one of the four matchsticks from the letter "O" of the puzzle.

justwise: Scanned pictures doesn't retain the original quality and will be rejected if used for visa lottery.
1.Yes people do approach an agents to play on their behalf and when they win the agent charge them for it but i don't believe that a complete stranger got all your details from a photo album and play on your behalf.
2.People also fraudulently get paired with a genuine winner by an agent while the fake winner pay the agent and the winner. They would't tell people the real story. That's very true and makes more sense. |

I am not a movie buff but i enjoy some series and they just happen to show most of my series like Burn Notice, Walking Dead, Simpsons, Family Guy, Grey's Anatomy and some that i had never heard of before but got hooked on them thru their station. I skip all the NTA, WAP tv and other local tv stations except when its time for Gulder Ultimate Search. |

justwise: I don't believe that details in photo album is good enough to be used by a total stranger to apply for visa lottery.
Let assume for a moment that it contains individual's full name and age but the age format can not be in dd/mm/yyy format which is needed for visa lottery application.
Again... how will you scan picture taken from an album then re-size it and it still maintain the original qualities suitable for US visa lottery? Oh the album is very detailed. Date of birth is something like 1st January 2014. About the picture thingy, i am not tech savvy so i don't know. However, the pics are usually passport pictures. Maybe, why i am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt is because i heard something like that happened to a former classmate of mine. At the time, i laughed at the story and dismissed it as coming from someone who has refused to tell the truth. However, that guy said he paid 300k and is now in US. |

Definitely fiction. The young lady has not even started serving as can be seen from this quote: DorisK: Shuuu? I dint receive any text o. DorisK: Four months after my baby came I understood the meaning of "Marriage was nt a bed of roses. I had graduated nd was serving immediately after my service a school around my area advertised for teachers. And another quote: DorisK: I sed am not searching. I dint say I won't marry if a gud man seeks my hand in marriage. Nd am 25 stil enjoying my youth ready for marriage bt nt hunting cos it's nt worth it. Just to cause d girl a long term anxiety dat is unwarranted. Nd if I hav a fiancée am I not single Or am I searching ? Busy bodies Got it? |

justwise: Where did he mention that in his post? He said he got a call from a complete stranger who got his info from a photo album made during service year in Jos. Apart from group/single pictures..what other info can you get from somebody's photo album? NYSC photo album is very detailed. It has all your info. Even the ones we did as final year students in uni. It's more than just photographs. It has contact details and bio of each person. These are things we did cos we had little knowledge of privacy and how people can hack your details. This is not to say that the guy's claim is genuine or not. |

I kinda like it. It has NBA tv, Fox tv, FX, Q You which showcases YouTube channels so I don't have to spend MB on my favourite channels. It has only one old AfricaMagic channel so no one is tempted to watch such which is good. They have too many entertainment/music channels so I put lock on those channels.
They do not have Cartoon network which is good cos I hate the channel but they have baby tv and Jimjam which my babies love. They have smile of a child channel that is a children Christian channel. They have my favourite of all time, Nickelodeon and all these for cheap N3k.
They show European football leagues apart from Premiership which I am okay with as I am taking a chill from it. Wish they had Disney Junior and Ceebeebies and it would be the best. |

linkin8k: Ok.
Monthly pay of PHCN is 79k after all deductions, that's of INEC is about 77k. However, PHCN pay their staff bulk rent which is about 330k per annum for entry level staff and also pay leave allowance of about 80k annually along with the 13th month allowance. There is no company with the name PHCN. Its been taken over by different investors who then go ahead to pay them according to their own structure. |

KiksAsso: No ma. 13th month is a bonus equivalent to one month basic salary usually paid in November ending by most companies. It is definately a bonus and not a salary. Thanks. Like someone said, maybe different companies have different ways of addressing 13th month. My current payslip has 13th month and it is equivalent to my net pay for a month and its paid in December. Some other multinationals I audited also have 13th month as equivalent of one month's pay. However, some companies term theirs as only basic salary. |

darqly: Had to go look at my payslip once more. The bulk of my tax is borne by basic salary, entertainment, lunch and transport. About 35% actually. Another 1.7% approx is charged on my clothing, furniture and housing allowances. So you are correct on that. BUT, my leave, bonuses and medical are not taxed, far as I know. I thought you were the one that prepares payroll for your company. Just read the amended PAYE laws then compare it with what your company is doing. You will see a difference. Even before the amendment, all allowances were to be taxed. I personally know some banks that have "tax consultants" who specialize in paying little tax and getting the tax authorities to "reduce" their tax payments. However, for your company, do they write the tax for each payroll line item separately or do they show you their tax computation? |
