He was one of the best of the lot. I wanted either him or Otto to win. No loss as they both won something.

Chinedu made tasks look so easy. Even the ones he did not know how to do like carrying food stuff on the head and crossing barriers, he gave it his all. Just that as a person, he could grate on people's nerves. Very intelligent young chap.

I support Kano pillars not because i live in Kano or ever been there but since i watched their live matches on tv some seasons back, i fell in love with the game play.. the atmosphere and the way their fans support them. also their organization, Kano pillars is the most organized club right now in Nigeria, they even have Basketball team, volleyball and other sports club too.

They hardly owe their staffs and players. i just like them and also their jerseys.
I remember when Orji was governor, Enyimba was the best team ever. I sed to travel to Aba to watch their games. It was so exciting. They had the best players and were the best organised. I also supported Rangers as i was in Enugu then. I went to the stadium to watch them and Al alhy of Egypt (champions league).

Those were the fun days but now, not as much fun. Enyimba play well but not as well as what i used to expect. It's sad that they should be struggling to win. I know they will win. I have hope!

Thank u so much for ur love, I think I really need to calm down, I'm taking a deep breath right now. Maybe becos he's my first child, dts why I'm bothered. My son is so wonderful, some times its kind of ironic to me, so eager to learn but dis problem of identification still persist, if I decide, to read him stories, he won't allow me stop, and on his own while playing, he sometimes mention the title of a story. Then anther area is dt, he's easily distracted by his environment which his class teacher also mentioned to me. But, I think, its time to be patient with him as some contributors have suggested.
Please don't mind all those people saying you should slow down. Maybe abroad you can afford to slow down but not in Naija. You know where kids his age are and what they are doing.

You can get this Leapfrog's Letter factory not Alphabet factory o. They are different. Letter factory teaches phonics while the other teaches letters. I started playing it for them from when they were 8months. It is so interesting and engaging. For numbers, what i did was to group the numbers into 3. Teach 1-3 for a week. Pull up flash cards and show him. Let him assimilate it. Point out anything that has the numbers on it. Even if it is 31, show him 3 and 1.

If all these don't have an effect, you need to start thinking of learning disabilities inasmuch as no one prays for it. He might have dyslexia. The earlier it is detected, the earlier you can get help for him and enable him fulfill his potential.
Family › Re: Can Two Dark People Make A Bright Skinned Baby? by blank(f): 9:05am On Oct 29, 2014
My husband and i are dark skinned although i am darker than he is. My first son is as dark as i am although the next is not so dark. The beautiful thing about being dark skinned is that you don't need expensive soaps and creams. I use any soap even lux if that is available and vaseline or ori. My skin glows. People always ask what i use. I tell them that i drink enough water, eat enough fruits and vegetables and have enough sleep.

My sons are the same. Handsome young men, no pimples.

Oh yes it is. Just that I am using my bb so can't paste the link to it. Google property laws in Nigeria, I am sure you will find something.

How can you charge someone extra for using their own backyard?

Strive to be the kind of woman who, when your man hits rock bottom, when his business fails or he is retrenched from his job, can carry the family through. You must be able to provide what he otherwise would. This thing of women who sit doing nothing, and when a man goes through a difficult period, cannot come through for him, or at least even help him make a plan, is not on.

Let us start hustling with our men. We must stop being liabilities when we have what it takes to be assets.

Ladies, what's your take on this?
Same guys that would force women to resign from their jobs and "look after the kids"? Same guys that will whine and rant that you are working too hard and have no time for them?

Once that difficult period comes, if the woman coughs, it will turn to fight. "See how she is coughing over my head, is it because she is earning small change?"

I even forgot to add that that after the woman strives and builds their life together, he will just throw her out of the house with nothing or marry a second wife and keep mistresses.

Abeg jor. I live my life on my own terms.

Maybe they should ban us till next year so that we can use that as an excuse for not qualifying for the nations cup.

And it just might give us enough time to put our house in order.

I thought there was something like CAS or how are such things resolved without going to court?

The next matches is going to decide the winner of the league.

Kano pillars to win at home
Enyimba to lose away to Dolphins
Warri Wolves also not a match

Kano pillars is winning the league for the 3rd time in a roll.
My Enyimba will not lose to Dolphins. No way.

It depends. If you are the only one in the compound, it belongs to you. If there are others sharing the compound, it belongs to all of you.

Legally, a tenant has the right to enjoy the use of a property and the adjoining surroundings without harassment.

As long as you have paid your rent. Its just that in Lagos, it is difficult to enforce those rights if you leave in a communal setting.

Do you do solar panels that can power the electronics of a house i guess via an inverter not just the borehole?

How much would it be? Would the inverter be able to power things like AC, fridges etc?

@Seun, I don't usually do this but you locked the thread yourself.

Someone posted this:

Fine I haven't been on NL for quiet long but overtime I tend to wonder on the basis on which threads are being regulated to front page. For heaven's sake this isn't the first time it's happening.

I happened to notice this cause I commented on such thread

Earlier this morning came up with this:

www.nairaland.com/1964440/check-out-tiwa-savages-different#27405737

About an hour later englishmart came up with his own and as I type it's on frontpage

https://www.nairaland.com/1964539/tiwa-savage-doro-diva-looking

QUESTION: Dear seun what was the basis (if any) for such action?

Why are the mods so incompetent?

Will this continue to happen?
@Seun, this was your response:
firstEVA has said it all. Feel free to recommend additional home page worthy topics to the supermods.
and Firsteva had this to say:
please leave seun alone, if you find a topic u are not interested in, just move on to the next. I for example LOVE such topics, if i go to the home page, i look out for such, so please you are not the only one on NL, jeezzz undecided
The response does not address the question. Why should a thread on the same topic but created at a later date be pushed to front page and not the original poster.

There is even on front page someone that ripped off (plagiarized) another person's write up and that was what was moved to front page. Doesn't seem quite right to me.

These are all lovely designs especially the kitchen. Won't mind having something like that.

For the pink toilet and bathroom, was just wondering why they left that small space between the bath tub and the wall? With the wash hand basin being so close to the gap, it will make that area difficult to clean.

My 2 1/2 year old son have refused to eat, before now me and my wife have tried different type of food and discovered he likes Golden Morn more but just recently he started refusing golden morn and its pains me to see him go lean. Infact he doesn't really like eaten food
Pls can some one suggest any help
Kids go through phases. Take him to a pediatrician. Once they have ruled out any serious issues you just leave him. He will not starve himself. Once he is hungry, he will eat. i found out that prolonging the time between meals made my kids more hungry at mealtime. He might just be going through a growth and developmental spurt.

Also, you can put on his favorite cartoon or song during mealtime. It keeps my boys so quiet that they don't even know when they have finished their beans and other such food that they don't like.

Hi,

For some reason other than marriage, I would like to change my name.

I would like to know from individuals who have gone through that in Nigeria, the challenges involved when it comes to documents.

I heard a guy had issues upon issues when presenting his documents and certificate bearing his former surname, to the extent that he had to return back to using his family name and would effect a change via his children.

Tx
You can change your name via court (extremely important) and then publish in the papers.

As per Naija things, it can be difficult but not impossible cos u will always need to show your court affidavit and newspaper publication to clear up issues. Getting your international passport changed and then getting your drivers license changed.

But people have done it and had no issues.

Hello @Justwise and other distinguished members of the House, please how do I pay my tuition. My visa debit card was declned. I contacted Diamond Bank and was told that my limit is below the 50% tuition I am supposed to pay. Since Monday, diamond bank has been posting me and have not provided a solution. I don't have online banking access Andy funds are trapped in their bank. Please what do I do.
You can pay up to the amount allowed by your card and then pay the rest via international bank transfer. If the part payment is not possible, pay via international transfer. As in go to the bank and tell them that you want to make an international transfer. Have the bank sort code and other info with you. It is more expensive as the bank will charge fees and the receiving bank will also charge fees. Ensure, you know the exchange rate going to be used.

I grew up being pampered and i will admit it freely. However, when i went to secondary school, i stayed with some relatives and those ones no believe in good life. My first day to school, they took me to the busstop, went with me to show me the way to school and where to stop, etc. The next day, i was on my own.

Up till that day, i had never entered public transport, in fact, to come to that town, my dad drove me there in his benz. I suffered eh. I was at the bus stop from 6:45am till 8:20am and i had still not left their street. It was a neighbor that took pity on me and helped me get a seat on a bus. How about returning home? That period was just so terrible but it taught me to be resilient, adventurous and look for how to get the cheapest deals. I soon became a pro and it shaped my life a lot. My parents no believe say i fit adapt but adapt i did.

I remember when i was dating my husband while we were still uni students and his mum came to visit. We were returning to Lagos by bus so she joined us. When we got to Jibowu, she gave me money to enter cab to my house. I crossed the road and entered bus to Obalande then took a cab to Ikoyi. Till today, she keeps referring to that incidence. That was how she knew i would be a good and frugal wife for my "very generous" husband and has been my strongest supporter till date.

Wow. What a trip down memory lane.

most people who bring an ipad to church give out their bibles to other people who can't afford it. i'm talking from experience.would you be glad if the print version of your favorite book was suddenly being replaced by more digitalized version? is sacred book and not a book a how to get rich quick or how to sell an idea. i'm a christian & i won't be glad if i saw the printed koran being replaced by a ebook or app on an ipad. Bringing your ipad to church is like putting a bible inside of a playboy magazine.
Is it the words in the book that are important or the paper they are written on that is important?

Also, giving an example of putting a Bible in a playbook magazine means you have porn in your IPAD. Delete them and be transformed more into the image of Christ by constant reading of the word of God which if you had put in your Ipad, you would have been reading rather than watching porn.

If you read my first comment on this topic, I indicated that he could be he is trying to draw out what is more than his balance, I believe he runs a current account which allows overdraft. people make it seem like he is going to the bank to borrow #27m.

I stated that it could be that he has just #1m or #26m in His account which is less than the #27m asked of him.
Whether you go to the bank to borrow 27m or you ask for an overdraft on your account, it is still a loan and you will have to pay back with interest.
