I don't have admission is any other school or do you know any other school that I can apply to that's resuming before September and offers a MSC in computer science or any other MSC in the field of IT?[/quote]I really don’t know why you are in a hurry to leave. Can’t you work until it’s time for your departure? Plan yourself very well here before leaving.

Good morning guys.

I just discovered a careless mistake on the application I made on the 4th October with Vfs

My MSc studies starts 2nd January, 2020 and supposed to end by December, 2021(1 to 2 years as stated on the admission letter) but I just discovered I filled in December 2022 which is now 1 to 3 years.

Please, is it possible to correct this in my Application for study permit? If yes, how?

I really need our contribution on this ASAP.
Your admission letter will state otherwise. Made same mistake too on my form.

Lol after 11 weeks of waiting. I applied from London in July. I just finished my BSc in the UK. I had a first class too. A first class in Software Engineering at 19 and I was going for an OBJECT ORIENTED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT programme for 8 months. More like a specialised vocational training programme. Today, I got refused due to purpose of visit and immigration status. At least the torment is over... F*CK CANADA AND THEIR IMMIGRATION POLICIES! I could have sworn I had the best SOP. Why deny me for immigration status? I was on a freaking TIER 4 VISA man. This is the end of this stupid struggle for me. UK has 2 year post-study work visa. If they had implemented this since, what would I be looking for in cold deserted Canada. I won't even rant about Nigeria. It's pointless. I'd be back to the UK next year. smiley
So sorry, na serious vex oh...it was a really long time. I understand the feeling. This refusal on immigration status strong sha.

This is just an encouragement to those awaiting visa decisions and those yet to apply. Regardless of the outcome, please don’t give up. I read here about a guy that applied up to 5 times before being granted study visa and the case of Dera.

It’s heartbreaking for a person to be refused once and the person decides to give up. There are those that have gotten after the first attempt and those that are still getting. Please do not lose hope!!!

Yet another Refusal letter.

First time application

Timeline
Application: August 1
Biometric: August 6
Eligibility review started: August 8
Biometric validation and refusal letters : Sept 26

Program Type: Postgraduate Certificate in energy management
Bachelor: Electrical engineering (3.96)

Refusal based on:
* Current employment situation
* Purpose of visit

Resumption: January 2020

Is it advisable to reapply using the same acceptance letter? Or I should just start to process for refund?
I don't want to lose on both sides.
Your cgpa can give you masters admission with funding if you are patient. It’s actually high for PGD. Try and apply to universities na especially MUN.

The issue is not rescheduling the flight. The problem is the course is schedule to start Monday. And this is done once a year. All payment has been made including accommodation.

Normally, they might not respond if it’s not yet 15 days but try and elaborate on the mail you sent. The worst scenario is to reschedule.
So sorry about that...they are really unpredictable beings. Just keep sending mails and web forms.

Let me add to what qudkom said. Long post alert.

(1) Getting a part time job depends on city and province. If you search on Indeed and physically go and hand in your resume in companies, you will get a job. Please don't be choosy, any job that comes first, do it.

(2) Canada education is not hard (my opinion) but it is super stressful and demanding. Make sure you have the right team. Ensure you move with people who share same goals with you. There will be days you will feel like giving up or no motivation to continue, it is your friends/team that will boost your morale in those low moments. There will be days you will have multiple assignments, reports or quizzes due and you need mental support, suggestions and so forth. This is where having the right support comes in.

The Chinese girl that had the best result in my program worked 3 days a week and she had 4.1 out of a possible 4.2.
For a whole session , I had at least 98% attendance in all my modules, I worked part time and I had11A's and 1B. Another Nigerian lady in my program, had same result, she worked night shifts and combined it with school. Nigerians are strong and built for anything

(3) Taking care of living expenses with part time work is dependent on if you are working for full 20 hours. Most jobs are structured for 8 hours per shift, so some companies will give you just 2 days in a week because of the 20 hours work restriction students have, while some companies will give you 21/2 days (your exact 20 hours). Some students work 3 days, 22.5 or 24 hours. I do not recommend working above 20 hours though.

If you work for exact 20 hours in London, Ontario and its environs (Sarnia, Windsor), you will get at least 1000CAD monthly. Minimum wage in Ontario is 14 Cad. so lets do the maths;
Accommodation = 450 - 550 Cad
Feeding = about 150 Cad monthly
Data = 50 Cad monthly

Total equals about 750 Cad. You can end up saving at least 200 Cad every month. Even if you do not get the exact 20 hours, 16 hours weekly can take care of feeding, accommodation and data if the student knows how to spend wisely.

P.s The major reason why International students (Nigerians) struggle in Canada is finance. Once you have money, tuition fully paid, you will do well in Canada.
But wait oh, those on scholarship - GA/RA, would the person still work abi na our own work be that.

Please for the
1) affidavit of sponsorship
2) letter of sponsorship
Are the documents to carry the court name
example

” in the high court of ......

Sworn before me.....

Commissioner of oath”

OR

Just stamping and signing the documents is enough

Urgent response needed please thanks
Affidavit must contain the former- In the high court of blah and sworn before commissioner of oath while the letter is normal letter containing address, salutation, body and signature of your sponsor.

Good morning my people, please I would like to know how best to tackle this refusal reason "employment prospects " I know the best way is to get a letter from employee that ones job would be retained, In my case it will be difficult if not impossible to get such a letter. Are there other ways I can tackle this
It’s not necessary to state that the job would be retained. Just show that you are working no matter how small the salary. You could also volunteer or intern at a firm. There should be evidence of that.

University of Victoria is a no go area for international Admissions and always come up with flimsy reasons after wasting an applicant's time waiting for an admission. I would suggest you check out Lakehead University or University of Windsor for MEng program. From my vast experience, I have noticed that applicants going to these schools (in particular U of Windsor) are mostly favoured in getting VISAS. Also the school is flexible in the sense that they have different start dates (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Another interesting part is that you DON'T need to secure a Supervisor kiss. So waste no time and apply for an admission.

All the best
The different start dates depends on your program. Mine doesn’t have for spring and winter.

See ya mouth na...why is it called study permit? You must be in active study throughout otherwise it might affect you later when applying for PGWP. If you don’t want to study, go through the express entry.

This platform is against self-advertisement and that's what these guys are lowkey doing. I'm not against paying people to write SOPs for others, that's one's choice. Don't just act genuine on the forum, ask people to email you and then charge them privately.
I don’t see how they haven’t been genuine. They equally assist on this platform. They answer questions too. If you want extra services asides from the one you get on this forum by contacting them privately, then you pay for it. Not everyone is that generous with their time.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Blema111: 12:27pm On Sep 12, 2019
When it comes to visa application, our subconscious tells us we can’t do it ourselves to avoid fatal mistakes when applying.

I also sought for assistance when applying and was told a ridiculous fee. I asked myself, am I not a graduate? Everyone have the innate ability to write. I wrote it and used grammerly premium, then gave it to three people not on this platform- someone who studied my course, someone who studied a course very different from mine and a neutral person to make sense of it and got the feedback I wanted.

I won’t castigate those attaching fees to it because it takes work to write a good sop. It’s not easy to write one. Instead of castigating them, simply write one yourself and give friends or enemies to read. Everything in life isn’t free abeg.

If you can afford, good. If you can’t, equally good.

I have another question.
Do I have to have an Imternational Passport before applying for admission?
Can't I apply after submitting my application
To avoid unnecessary delay when your admission is out, just apply for international passport now. It depends on your state of domicile too. I know one can get international passport in Enugu within two hours and some states are like that too.

Please, I have question. I am actually new to this thread but I've been following though.
I am about to apply for admission in a Canadian university and I am told to have a study permit first. please how do I get this study permit? is it really necessary to have it before applying for admission? And do I need an English Related Exam for applying to a Canadian University?
I don’t know who told you that but it’s false. You need an admission first in order to apply for visa/study permit. For the English exam, most schools don’t require it since our lang of instruction is English.
