He shouldn’t go for private na, he will have problem with applying for PGWP. He should vex and pay the money...consider it as an investment. Sought out your supervisor before applying if thesis based.

Bsc might raise a red flag...he said he’s a graduate. Why not post graduate diploma/certificate? At least that’s a progression of career.

I just received the scary BVL from Nairobi this morning. Message came at 5:35am. I applied on the 28th of May, did biometrics on the 29th, received call for medical on the 23th of June, went for medical on the 3rd and was asked to take another X-ray because IOM couldn't upload mine. Took the X-ray on the 12th of July and my profile was updated to "medical passed" on the 16th of July.

Then I saw this email and logged into my account to see the correspondence letter and it was a BVL!!!!. Do you guys think I am about to get some bad news?

Based on personal financial status (I didn't include any of my personal financial statements or anything related to me financially)

I am thinking maybe because I indicated that I am serving hence why I was rejected, I have decided to finish my nysc and reapply, but I do not know what to put in the employment field when reapplying.

Is it that you don’t have a primary place of assignment cos that suffices and there is no evidence of documents which suggest that you are serving.
For purpose of study, perhaps if you can state your previous course of study and what you intend to study, it would help.
For the financial aspect, including your SOA is not necessary. There’s no letter of sponsorship/affidavit of sponsorship from your dad.

I think you should order the notes since you will reapply later. I leave the rest to the ogas at the top.

Is it Processing time as at the time of application or as it is now? Because as it is now, Processing time is 8 weeks.

ACCA is accounting international exam and it can be taken here in Nigeria...or is that a course on its own?

I guess it’s phd in eng. you are going for. In previous post, I saw that you had bsc and masters in petroleum engineering but your PhD is in environmental eng...I think that might be the reason for refusal. Perhaps the VO didn’t see the connection between the two courses or the explanation you gave was insufficient. I think those two are really different and since you were previously rejected on that ground, I think you should try getting admission in your field-phd in petroleum engineering.

Please help, don't judge, you won't believe me if I said it's not my fault. Just help tho. What can I do? Or if you have heard of anyone, what did the person do? And what happened?

My dear, there’s nothing you can do. Just explain what happened but the consequences would still be there-5 years ban.

I would advise you to forget the passport, look for a way to get a new one then forget about Canada dream for years. Does agent can help you with a real account . from experience, they will send your passport to kirikiri , they would call to come to for it please do not go unless you will be arrested and pay lots of money.

I’m for fall 2019. That’s another school that take their sweet time. My admission and funding came late around June.

You need to remain calm. Worrying, lamenting or panicking solves nothing. I expect by now you should have contacted the agent to know if the statement submitted was fake or not

Once that is established, you will know the next step to take.

Not all agents use fake bank statements so the first step is ask questions from the agent.

(2) Who filled the IMM form? you or the agent?

A friend of mine was banned because the agent gave her a bank statement that almost 6 different persons used almost at the same time. So even if at the end of the day it was verified, has he given same to different people at different times? Visa officials aren’t fools na.
P.S all 6 were banned. They gave a funny story as to how the supposed sponsor was related to them. Even when the statement was verified, she was still banned.

How can someone give you bank statements and a letter without verifying? Is the person related to you? He is an agent remember and those people would do anything just to get their money. She ought to have verified. She’s supposed to ask questions.

He helped you with bank statement and letter of sponsorship and you didn’t verify the owner? You went ahead to use it like that. Common, there is no excuse now because you are aware. Well, truth is the only ground you can stand upon. Just tell them what happened.

After my medical request, I got a mail stating that the naira account seems fraudulent and requested for “my bank statement ticket ID and password”. I won’t lie to you this rattled me despite using a genuine statement of account. I generated the requested using my internet banking and sent to them as requested.

After so much waiting and praying it finally came.
I really want to use this opportunity to thank one of the most selfless human beings I know @frankrobbn1. Right from SOP review till date you’ve been most helpful. You’re blessed and always will be.
Then @awuuga I met you in this forum, I’m so happy our paths crossed, your a friend turned brother. What excites me the most is that we are going to the same school and the same course. Also, you being a term ahead of me gives me someone to look up to for guidance in school.

And today been the 27th of June I got a Correspondence Letter, I guess they have already reached a decision and it a refusal. Do I apply for my GCMS notes now before the final decision comes in to know how to tackle the points raised by the VO and also defer my admission to January intake 2020?

This is really sad..I just feel you should explain everything to them and then whatever decision they take, you just have to live with it. I initially wanted to use an agent who told me that he would borrow someone’s Statement of account as a sponsor. I opened my mouth in disbelief.That made me do away with him. That’s fraud and you should get his ass arrested. He just put you in a really big mess. Remember that ignorance is not an excuse. It’s your application and you’re equally liable should anything go wrong.
