It is not difficult for a successful man to get married to any lady even a broke one at that; it is difficult for a rich girl to marry a broke man. An irony of the world. It is surprising and a subject of study to comprehend how Wike is able to trend in all the political offices he has ever held. As a chairman, it was the first time we heard of Obio Akpor as the richest LGA in Nigeria, and he became what was called ALGON chairman over 774 fellow LGA chairmen. After 2007, when he left, nobody heard of ALGON as a body again. When made a minister of state for education, he was even more popular than the minister of education in that administration. His impact was so much felt in the 2 offices I have mentioned. In Rivers state as a chairman, he built offices and markets for the council. Evidence plenty. As minister of state, he executed the almajjri schools that Good luck Jonathan was hailed for in his administration, together with other projects.
As a governor, it was evident he was the best in his class of governors. Nobody could match his achievements. One of them, 12 flyovers in Rivers state within 8 yrs with massive infrastructural rehabilitation of the old roads jn Port Harcourt and some other LGAs in the state. Here as a minister of FCT; a once quiet ministry now seems like the only ministry in the present APC government. Give the man his flowers; he is indeed and enigmatic and great politician in the country. We are yet to see the best of him in this country.
