The so-called investors have more money than sense, hence the reason they invest in 'tech' companies that are ultimately doomed to fail.

Many of these so-called tech companies have nothing more than brightly coloured offices, a few computers/laptops and a half-baked, bound-to- fail idea that they wax lyrics around and sell to investors as a viable business.

Many of these founders have no tangible business or life experience - yet, misguided investors will give them money.

It is no surprise over 95% of them fail.

This particular company raised $2m less than a year ago, yet they're already out of business. No doubt the founders took very good care of themselves and left the naive investors licking their wounds.

Ordinary, large markets is one of the advantages of large vibrant population. Large markets should translate to large volumes of production,hence large exports. China exports even pencils and toothpicks, utilizing thier large population (enough cheap labour) But in my country, everything is upside down, insideout. Beware of the Nigerian stock market. The frenzy will soon start as it was about 20 years ago. People who invested in IPOs, banks and insurance stock became scammed. By 2008, those stocks were useless. Up till now many banks have not returned to their earlier bloated stock prices.

We are back on the same circle. Just beware. Soon stock market will start rising and making unsubstantiated gains to attract investors. It is a financial scam.

With the rate at which Nigerians are leaving Nigeria, you will think with N50k you can japa from that country. Every Tom, Dick and Harry have left, the remaining ones are just waiting to buy their flight ticket.

I doubt if we still have up to 1 million people left in Nigeria at this time. So where is that multidimensional poverty statistics coming from? If almost everybody can afford the cost of Japa that doesn't come cheap. This makes me to come to the conclusion that, Nigerians might not have money in their bank account, but majority have tangible assets that can be easily converted to cash if the need arises.
