DeLaRue: The so-called investors have more money than sense, hence the reason they invest in 'tech' companies that are ultimately doomed to fail.
Many of these so-called tech companies have nothing more than brightly coloured offices, a few computers/laptops and a half-baked, bound-to- fail idea that they wax lyrics around and sell to investors as a viable business.
Many of these founders have no tangible business or life experience - yet, misguided investors will give them money.
It is no surprise over 95% of them fail.
This particular company raised $2m less than a year ago, yet they're already out of business. No doubt the founders took very good care of themselves and left the naive investors licking their wounds. This is a new scam format obviously. All of them failing jaga jaga |

Na so una do so tay China sef come dey invade una waters since fear say una go offend gods no gree una go in and explore.... continue. The spirituality we know of is still valid just that we place restrictions on our capabilities as Africans in the form of so many abominations and taboos. Instead of taboos, we should learn to carry out alignments. Even Julius Berger white know the art of appeasement, in the 4yrs of Wike working in rivers to build 12 flyovers rains were constantly being held till they were all completed before the rains began heavily in Port Harcourt. These are local technologies we ought not to have discard. Just that Africans are wicked most times |

What kind of human beings be that? People will invest in a friendly land of other people, but will not allow people to invest in their own land. People will carry out elderly care abroad, but will not dare do that in Nigeria. They are proud of Canada, UK and other countries, but will not make effort to make where they live ok and comfortable for others. |

bigiyaro: Ordinary, large markets is one of the advantages of large vibrant population. Large markets should translate to large volumes of production, hence large exports. China exports even pencils and toothpicks, utilizing thier large population (enough cheap labour) But in my country, everything is upside down, insideout. Our Large population counts for nothing, it can't even be hannessed for anything. Our hypocrisy as a people towards doing the right thing stinks. We do not encourage good ventures like farming, foundry, productive activities but we rather encourage religious stealings, useless owambes and mindless importations. We really need to address ourselves both the poor and the elites |

This statistics will continue to increase until our leaders do something to our economy. Surely yahoo yahoo is the economic backbone of the masses in South of Nigeria. Nobody is seeing the effect of political government spending in the life of the masses. So yahoo yahoo may well be legally accepted. It is so unfortunate that those in legit businesses so called do not invest to make the monies felt in the economy of the masses as much as yahoo yahoo has done. We need to review our ways as a people. Our hypocrisy and wickedness stinks do much |

I am not defending the church. But your judgement here is very illogical. There are bad people in the church, there are also bad people outside the church. Whoever cannot choose a good wife from the church cannot choose a good wife from outside the church. Whoever is able to pick a good wife from outside the church can as well pick a good wife from the church. Well said. No generalisations |

SaintUlot: With the rate at which Nigerians are leaving Nigeria, you will think with N50k you can japa from that country. Every Tom, Dick and Harry have left, the remaining ones are just waiting to buy their flight ticket.
I doubt if we still have up to 1 million people left in Nigeria at this time. So where is that multidimensional poverty statistics coming from? If almost everybody can afford the cost of Japa that doesn't come cheap. This makes me to come to the conclusion that, Nigerians might not have money in their bank account, but majority have tangible assets that can be easily converted to cash if the need arises. Nigerians are hypocrites and pretenders. Take them serious at ur own risk. |
