Nice thread misspicy... Let me join the party. Tampon is hard work, the pain ugh. And now there's cup, how tiny is the cup though, and how is anyone able to shove it up there? And then with tampons, you risk something called toxic shock syndrome tss could be fatal. I hope there will be a makeup discussion soon... |

LaurelP: OK I get your point there on the car part. But the truth is that many guys have been made to believe that with money, all things are possible. Maybe it has been working for him where other ladies are so he believed it would definitely work on you also not knowing that you're different.
Don't write him off just yet, he might prove to be a great friend afterwards. Lol if we ever meet again. |
Romance › Re: Am I Weird To Feel This Way?? by blessedfavoured(op): 11:15pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
LaurelP: Come on now... He's probably just being a gentleman and trying to make you feel at home. You're the one reading meanings into his actions. You ladies should learn to appreciate us sometimes, you're not the only one who loves being treated well. Truth is, you don't need to flaunt cash to be a gentleman. After you people will be crying that girls are gold diggers. When you flaunt cash, its girls with long throat you'll attract. When I walked into the place, he said something nice to me, like a genuine compliment, and he speaks well and he went on to ask a few questions and I was being really nice to him. If he had asked for my number at that point or after, I'd have given it to him but the moment he started with the money show off thing, I just lost interest. Really, I see your point, he could have bought the lunch because he's trying to be nice(though I still think its unnecessary) and not to show off, but why did he feel the need to show off his car? |

Romance › Am I Weird To Feel This Way?? by blessedfavoured(op): 9:41pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
Ok So I don't know why I always feel offended when a stranger, complete stranger feels the need to pay for my lunch, or recharge card. Just because you feel that's what you have to do to get me to talk to you, or listen to you.
I don't know if they feel every girl is ebinna, I never chop..
Today I refused to talk to a man who paid for my lunch, because I really wanted him to know paying for my lunch wouldn't make me any nicer to you. And this is someone I was already being nice to before he even paid for my food. Like that wasn't enough, after eating his lunch, he sat in the parking lot and waited for me to finish eating and I'm sure I stayed 10-15mins after he left, before he drove towards, again just to show off his car...
This happens to me like all the time..
Why do guys think its only when they show off money that girls can take them seriously? Its annoying tbh |

4reala: U see, there ar some children dat takes to correction easily, even wit just iconic communication(no verbal), but some only listen to d correction of d rod The truth is every child listens, at least from my experience. If you start correcting them from a young age and teaching them obedience, then you wouldn't have issues. But some parents, when their children do something wrong they just look away and say oh he's just a child. The child grows up thinking its alright, or I can get away with certain things. Then the parent suddenly thinks you can flog the bad behaviour out of the child after he or she is grown... It doesn't work that way. There's a woman that has just one daughter, the girl is rude, she's only 3, and its very easy for you to overlook it, she just keeps going ah omode ni, ko month (she's a child she doesn't know) if her mum has an argument with anybody in the area, If the daughter sees the person she'll just eye you and walk away, and the mum won't scold her. I can imagine when she's like 8-10 her mum will now carry cane saying she's teaching her to be respectful, when she's already failed now. |

adahib: Let me tell you what happened in my neighborhood. There was a very stubborn kid whose mum never wanted anybody to lay a finger on. One day in school,he tore another pupil's uniform and was flogged by a teacher. He reported to his mum when he got home. The next day, the mum got some policemen and threatened all the teachers in the school. Since that day, all the teachers avoided the kid. No matter what he did, none of the teachers will even look in his direction, let alone tell him to stop. All they did was pick a phone and call the mum. The mum was called over 20 times a day. It went something like this "madam your son is pulling off his buttons, better come stop him;your son is eating his lunch by 10a.m,better come stop him or bring another one for him;your son is crying that he wants to go, please come and either take him home or make him stop." The mum had to go to school repeatedly everyday. The kid's behavior deteriorated and his school performance dropped. The mum had to pull him from the school to another where she maintained a low profile and allowed the teachers a free hand. This is the problem. This mother has actually FAILED as a parent. Why should your child have to disrespect and disobey teachers in school upon all your beatings at home and "rodding" and supposed training. I can tell you, we(my sis and I) were never beat at home but we were raised right, with morals and respect for elders. We were teachers favourites in school, I can't remember ever getting beat or punished because I decided to be rebelious except the general punishment. Not everytime beat, its all about the foundation. As a teenager, my dad caught me writing a love letter to my pen pal aka crush, I thought he was going to beat me that day, he took the letter from me and read it, and started telling me I didn't punctuate right and no guy likes a block head, don't write this, it doesn't make you look classy etc. Everytime my penpal writes me a note, after replying I will go and show daddy to help me vet and edit. If he had beaten me that day, I would just have been smartet and learned to hide the letter. My cousin on the other hand that he and his father used to enter boxing ring, will scatter the school with trouble, got excluded from school countless times that no school wanted to accept him. He only calmed down when his dad calmed down. |

jaybanfa: @janethEze i understand ur concerns totally, you don't want ur child brutalized etc. What i mean is disciplining a child. Now if u say, that should be your sole prerogative, then u are setting up the kid to believe that reprimand can only come from his/her parents. So the child grows up wit a false notion that only dad or mum can address me. Now when s/he knows somebody can knock me on the head for being rude or disobedient what do u think the child will try not to do? You seem to think you can only correct children by beating, what happened to using my mouth to correct them while reserving beating for "special" cases and for the parents only. I've looked after a lot of teenagers, the worst ones are the ones that get beat the most. That your beating does nothing, zero, zilch... Trust me. |

no time for all these yeye wicked relatives.[/color] Exactly only "calm" kids. Funny thing is we (my sis and I) are usually very quiet; good children type thing. So people always think we can be bullied. Most times when we fight back, they're usually shocked that we can be like that and wondering where it came from. |
