Hi guys, have actually sent a message to regarding appointment date to the embassy since November am in catB and till now I haven't gotten a date, so am wondering am I suppose to attach my block account and enrollment letter to get an appointment date will that help in any way, do I have to show them am paying over 15000 euros in tuition fees, I feel it's disrespectful for them to be silent without any email stating why they haven't replied, if any one is experiencing the same thing PLS share here.

guys why is it that PREVIOUSLY REFUSED appointment category is very far compared to regular?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Bleuocean: 7:53pm On Sep 12, 2019
Previously Refused - If you have been interviewed and/or refused within the last 2 months, please select “previously refused.” Applicants may be denied visas for false misrepresentation.

Regular

Previously Refused have dates in January 2020 while regular has October dates so for previously refused person within 3 days falls into what category?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Bleuocean: 5:41pm On Sep 11, 2019
Hello guys

This is a serious case oo

My wife and kid was denied F2 visa of joining me here because when I was asked during the interview in May 2019 if they will travel with me, I said no and the VO told her yesterday I said they won't join me and why is she applying for F2 to join me, so my wife said I only said they weren't traveling with me and I didn't say they will not join me later but she was denied that I said they won't join me and they cannot join me now.

The truth is I was asked... is you family traveling with you? and I said no. I was not asked, will your family join you.

In English language, I see "traveling with you" and "joining you" as two different meaning.

Does anyone have solution to this serious issue?

Dear all,
Please am I qualified to apply for the category A appointment since I have a bachelor degree and going to Germany to study master degree in English?

Here is what is confusing me below. The statement in bracket is confusing me.

holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class - 2. Lower Class and being accepted for a master's degree (also a DSH course-related admission to the master's program) or PhD study in Germany.

Thank you.

My Interview on Monday for F1 visa in Lagos - Master program

Me. Good Morning

VO: Good Morning, pass me you I-20 and passport

VO: Why do you want to study Master in IT?

ME. Because IT rules the world and in line with my Bachelor Degree in Germany

VO. Why did you choose the University?

Me. The university is the leader in SAP graduate studies and prides itself as the North American leader in SAP certification. Graduates from this University are more SAP certified than the 3 highest Universities in US combined together.

Vo. I can see you have a valid b1/b2 visiting visa to the US, issued in January 2018 and you did not travel. Why?

Me. Then I was writing my bachelor thesis in Germany and wanted to visit for a conference in Texas as part of my research for the thesis but my thesis supervisor fixed a date that clashed with the date of the conference so there was no need to travel to US again.

Vo. I can see you are married

Me. Yes with 2 kids

Vo. Are you traveling with your family?

Me. No, am traveling alone

Vo. Who is sponsoring you

Me. Am sponsoring myself, I have a registered business doing well which is into logistics and road transportation and ticketing which I have employees working for me and also I am a share holder in a company in Nigeria which is into oil and gas where I receive income (profit shared) yearly as share holder of that company.

VO. Can I see your bank statement?

Me. Yes that’s my bank statement

Vo. Took time to check pages of the bank statement and I pointed out to him to check page 35 and see I receive money too as share holder of a company.

VO: what is your plan after studies?

ME. I plan to return back home to take up a job in SAP which I will be concentrating on in my studies. SAP skilled worker are lacking seriously in Nigeria as this is a new trending and disruptive IT technology in vogue and in high demand by almost all companies and getting those certified in this specialization are highly sought after here in my country.

VO: Your visa has been approved. He passed me the white paper indicating where to pick up my visa in 3 working days.

It was God
I was not asked too many questions or questions like why US, how many Universities did you apply to, did you write any standardized test e.t.c because I actually wrote IELTS and applied to 3 schools but I wasn't asked.

pls guys ---- my admission letter carries information systems and my i-20 carries information technology. which one will I fill in my ds-160 form

i saw this answer online:

The SEVIS system contains a fixed number of majors that occasionally do not match the exact program name. The option that most closely matches the USC program name has been selected in SEVIS by your program and used on the I-20. U.S. consular and immigration officers are aware of this and we do not expect that you will have any issues with this at your visa interview. The name of your major at USC is the one reflected on your letter of admission.

Immafrank:
Greeting Everyone,

So i noticed that they changed the appointment booking process yesterday.
I believe most of the students here belong to Category B.

If you know you dont have a scholarship, a German language proficiency certificate whether B2, B1 from Goethe, a TestAS, A masters degree admission also DSH course-related admission to the Masters program (this means writing a DSH exam before you can enrol for the masters program and you must have had an existing Knowledge of German Language because DSH or "Deutsche Sprachprufung fur den Hochschulzugang auslandischer Studienbewerber” is a language examination, which tests the German language proficiency of students who wish to apply at higher education institutions in Germany. The DSH examination is only administered at German Universities so the embassy needs proof that you will write a DSH in other for you to enrol or start the Masters program you got admitted to). IF you dont have all these credentials, you are for Category B.

If you also have a masters degree admission which is in English and it doesnt require a proof of German language for you to enrol or study it BUT you have a good B1 and B2 certificate from Goethe, you can also book for Category A. I believe category A will be treated with high priority because it also involves scholarship candidates. This is my interpretation of the whole new booking appointment stuff because it is straight forward for me.

Furthermore, if you are so sure you will be getting an admission in 2 months after a week or two weeks you applied, or have deferred your summer semester admission to winter 2019 and you are expecting your new admission letter, it will be advisable to book appointment ahead. You have to strategize everything because they are making appointment booking more difficult due to the high numbers of Student visa applicants in Nigeria. For example, if you apply to a master course, lets say Leibniz Universitat, you can email your course coordinator to ask when they will be giving out admission that you are asking this due to the difficulties in booking a student visa interview and that you have to book ahead (i have done this before and they told me the exact time they will give the admission because the universities too knows that you need a visa to enter Germany and it can takes a while before getting the visa and thats why some universities advises students to always apply few months to the deadline so they can have a decision early) though not all the universities have nice course coordinators but some are cool. The university of Bonn releases admission letter late for the master course in Geodetic Engineering but maybe they have changed.

So please strategize and book appointment ahead if you know what you are doing and you are very very very sure you will get an admission between 2 months. I will say people that applied through Uni Assist should book an appointment immediately they get their evaluation and the documents have been sent to the schools for decisions. In the confirmation email the embassy will send to you after your make a reservation online, stating your reference number, passport number, blah blah blah, there is a link to cancel your reservation incase you later have a rejection. But why will you be rejected if you got the criteria??... and that is why its good to apply to many universities as possible esp to non restricted courses and also application to smaller universities in smaller cities.

I wish y'all the very best.
Bless up

is risky booking appointment in advance when you have no admission letter at hand cos of what I saw on their website below

"In order to avoid any malpractice only one appointment can be booked per person. In case you do not show up on the day of your interview the Consulate General has the right to bar further bookings for a period of up to 6 months."

Visa approved today. will share transcript soon.

Note: the VO denied all students with no GRE exam. Atleast i could count 6 before me. pls kindly do GRE even if u did not do well.my friend had 278 and his bisa was approved though we both have GA that waived tuition with stipends. No bank statement required. Wish everybody success. Thank you nairaland. i used nairaland for my Visa to the UK and now the US. am grateful to everybody. cheers.

dont create panic just because you were approved and wrote GRE. Lots have been approved without GRE and still being approved. There are many who wrote GRE and were still refused visa.
