NimrodEndOfDays: It goes both ways bro. Funny enough I listened to star fm yesterday when they spoke about the Biafra war .majority of the people who who called and spoke with disgust were Yorubas. Making it look as if The 3 million people killed were justified and that these people should just shut up and move on. I do not support any disrespectful manner in a foreign land don't don't let it look as if Igbos are trouble makers. I was born in Lagos and I think even with all the insults between both tribes I don't think there has been any major clash that has led to loss of life between the two. But the Yoruba and hausas have fought many times in which people were killed. But the insults and abuse which are spoken to Igbos by their host is unbearable some times. Igbos are not only in the SW. They are in the North. The truth is most SW lack an understanding of the behavior of an Igbo man. We are very different. Our differences is what causes the friction. We are not different. We are human first before tribal affiliations. The sooner you understand this the better for you. One of the major problems we have as igbos is unrestricted pride and arrogance. We want to somehow Lord it over everyone with the mindset of "if it is not done out way then we will scatter everything". This is very wrong. We are not the smartest nor the most hardworking because such abounds on every tribe and we need to start appreciating one another. I see myself as a Nigerian first prior to being Igbo and this is why my mentality is at odds with yours. My sister is married into a Yoruba family and I schooled and have friends with northerners even from the East where I went to school. Igbos need to learn to be tolerant |

NGpatriot: Are all the SS states identified and localized as Eastern region states or Delta region?
Is Rivers state in the Delta Region or Eastern Region.
Yes or No? Delta region is not a geographical location. I am talking about a geographical location and you are talking about Delta region is Delta region one of your cardinal points? |

NimrodEndOfDays: So you are saying that Igbos are myopic? Who exactly in Nigeria is visionary apart from the men of old? Who are the founding fathers. There is no leader presently that is visionary and I stand to be corrected. If you are Igbo as you claim, there is no wisdom and certainly no price disparaging your Ethnic group. It doesn't portray you as being unbiased it only shows you don't have value and regards for the ethnic group which you claim to belong. A wise man does not quarrel with his wife in front of the children!! A wise man does not quarrel with his neighbours when he knows they are sometimes the closest to him when kindred are far away. Case in point the igbos in yoruba land or even in other lands not belonging to igbos. I do not think you have heard of any other tribe resident in Igbo land quarelling with igbos but why must our own case always be differemt? The men of old abound in every tribe even in the so called minorities . You do not portray yourself as being wise. Igbos are known to be wise and not being foolish enough to poison their own food or destroy the bridges that take them to where they feed from. Use your tongue to count your teeth nwokem |

wink2015: When did ports like the Warri ports become EASTERN PORTS?
or the one at Onne Rivers state?
These ports are in the South South region ( Niger delta )
Although, it will still serve the economic interest of the South East region. North south east west are the cardinal points. There is also NE, SE, NW and SW but no South South (SS) EASTERN PORTS is correct geographically. |

NimrodEndOfDays: And Buhari is doing what to the Yorubas? I wonder why your lot always claim Monopoly of knowledge when there is no difference between you and the same Igbo people you insult everyday. And mind you it is the Azikiwe that he used more to campaign to the Igbos. Even at that I wonder how that is a problem to you. You are not even Igbo. Nwokem I am Igbo and I do not insult my own people. Talking to them so they can stop their myopia is no insult. Iche n'am bu onye ofe mmiri ? The Azikiwe he used was it not the same deception? Is GEJ fit to even lace the shoes of Nnamdi Azikiwe? It was an insult to have someone so clueless and so stupid trying to stand with Azikiwe. |

NimrodEndOfDays: But the Ebele in full from the Ijaw side is different from the Ebele in full from the Igbo side. That is not my concern. GEJ never used the full form of his own Ebele because he wanted to keep deceiving my people from the SE with that name so they would feel he is very close to them |

Racoon: The failure of successive governments to revive the other ports across the nation is simply because of parochial, economic & political sentiments.Other regional economic bodies e.g.NDDC should have long rose up to the challenge. There was no parochial or political sentiments attached when GEJ was president and failed to do so despite being from the south south and touted by those in the South east as Our brother since his name was Ebele. The non functioning of the ports in the east or south south was simply due to the ineptitude of past leadership and their inability to follow through on developmental strides. PMB is head and shoulders above them because we have all seen time and time again that he does what he says. You will never cease your usual nonsensical posts |

emmygzy: you're dull o. Did you look at the percapital of those countries llisted before nigeria? Theyre way higher. How will a country with per capita of 20,000 dollars be poorer than nigeri with per capital of 1,000 dollars. the list youre showing is based on the size of economy GDP. we all know our GDP is bigger than that of isreal and finland and does that mean we are richer than isreal? even our budget as a country is about 30 billion dollars while thiers is $116billion dollars. They use the per capital to measure poverty not the size of economy. The list even shows india to be ahead of canada and we all know india is way poorer and canada is rich but india economy is bigger than canada. Click the link and view the full chart. Screen grabbing cropped off the rest of the chart. That was why i also dropped the link. You are actually the dull one. |

[s] lexy2014: There's a difference between actual & d ideal. U want d ideal but d KPIs u provided paint an entirely different pix. To even say GDP growth isn't important to investors is d greatest travesty I have ever read in an economic discussion except u don't no what GDP is. Maybe u can shed light on why and how GDP growth isn't important to investors.
What went into d overall ranking and how did Nigeria do in all d indices compared to d other countries? Apart from population & nominal GDP, what else did Nigeria top?
If u say "ease of doing business" is very important to investors, pls how did Nigeria rank compared to d other countries using d ease of doing business index? [/s] Trash |

lexy2014: I don't no were u saw anyone having a fit. D point is take ur time to study d information provided b4 u roll out d drums. Even if u are going for "overall ranking", any enlightened person will always want to see what went into d rankings & from all indications, Nigerias ranking isn't a product of deliberate govt action. That's what any foreign investor will be looking at because both in d short& long term, Nigeria is still lagging behind Overall ranking is very crucial despite the indices used. Besides GDP growth is for the nation and is not the concern of an investor when compared to population viz a viz ease of doing business or best brand in Africa as a nation as well as biggest economy We are not lagging behind. You simply wish we were lagging behind so badly and wish you could wish it so. Sorry, based on the latest outcome of the UK summit that just got concluded, investors think otherwise from how you do and Nigeria got probably the best or one of the best investment deals per value. Eat your heart out |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Ranked As The Number One Country To Do Business In Africa by Blindersoff(op): 12:35pm On Jan 27, 2020 |
lexy2014: Pls look at d indices carefully. D reason Nigeria tops is because of population size& nominal GDP. In terms of actual ease of doing biz, Nigeria ranks lower than SA, Mauritius, Morocco & Kenya. In terms of forex, GDP growth&per capita, Nigeria is lower than Rwanda and others So you admit the chart is true based on these indices and thus also true per overall ranking. Why they are you having a fit? |
