Oga o, a lot of us are ignorant of this. I saw a video on Twitter where one of the guys that laid Kyari's remains removed that white overall carelessly beside the fence of Gudu Cemetery. That in itself is a criminal act, but, no one knows what can be classified as criminal. I am stark sure some of the street urchins around Gudu or that hilltop would pick that up and start wearing it as raincoat.

People dont know how this thing can spread, i just pity us.

Rubbish.

The level of stupidity and gullibility in this country is totally out of control.
This is a burial not a party like Funke had at her house. This is a special circumstance where the rules cannot be enforced as in others.
In fact I know someone whose family member died this week. They were allowed to move from one location to another and were allowed to perform the burial without any govt interference.
Also, even the govt says that everyone should stay at home , but you are allowed to go out if you have a good valid reason to do so like buying food, fuel, going to the hospital, going to bury a dead family member.
Almost everyone in these pictures are wearing face masks and most importantly, they are there for BURIAL not for a party.
Trash!
In other countries burials are allowed but only with a few friends of not more than 10.
U said they are their or burial and not for party...lol

There's absolutely nothing political to be gained by him dying several days ago and the government delaying the announcement, only to reveal it days later. He's the president's appointee, not the president, so there's really no point hiding his death for days. It serves no purpose, because you can't hide a public figure's death for long.

Some of these people making these baseless claims without any iota of prior knowledge are the usual internet irritants who suffer from cognitive dissonance, because they know they don't know, but act like they do know.
U have a point. But it's not always political.
He could have been on life support for 2 weeks in the hope that a miracle will happen. At that time he would have been presumed to be legally dead.
But now that they have announced it, medically, he is assumed to be clinically dead.
That's the point am trying to bring out.

If I were to blame anyone between Buhari and this man, I will blame buhari, becks hes the president

U have made a point.
But u know in clinical medicine, a person can be in a vegetative state or brain dead and the only thing left is for the family to pull the plug?
Its possible he has been brain dead since especially since the Corona virus makes breathing problematic and once the brain lacks oxygen it packs up.
Meaning that its unlikely that the person will come back alive again.
Many people have been in a vegetative state for months due to family delays or decisions.
So perhaps he was just pronounced dead yesterday after a decision was taken by the family.

Brain dead definition: This means they will not regain consciousness or be able to breathe without support. A person who's brain dead is legally confirmed as dead. They have no chance of recovery because their body is unable to survive without artificial life support.

This is for those claiming he had died before yesterday. It is forbidden in Islam to keep the dead unburried.

In the state house statement, it said funeral arrangements will be announced. That will definitely be today but most likely low key burial.

If he dies, are we then immortal? hope for a good ending yourself rather than musing on that of others.

Even Abacha was buried immediately.
Muslims don’t waste time when it comes to burying their dead.
Kemi was just being speculative as usual and it was a no-brainer that the possibilities of him surviving is low because of his age.
Someone who is brain dead or in a vegetative state can be said to be alive.
All that remains is for the family to pull the plug.

Calm your nerves down. No one is here to argue. I made reference to comments on Page 1 where people are asking why didn't they give them to Poor Parishioners instead of LASG.
Charity begins at home. I can tell you Poor Parishioners received relief package from Society of St. Vincent D'Paul at the start of the lockdown.
In addition to that, some other societies also shared relief packages to Parishioners before Easter. You may not see pictures online but it does occur in the whole Parishes in Lagos State irrespective of your religion. You can't decide who they should give donations to. After all the Poor Parishioners has been taken care of before now. If the lockdown continues, trust me the Archidiocese will share more food stuffs to the poor
Relax!
Am only airing my opinion based on the post.
And am saying that they dont need to give the bloody government any donations cos half of it wont reach the masses.

Im telling you that they have alreadt taken care of their home and still taking care of it and that they iare giving to government to aid those they might not be able to reach you're talking crap.
Remind me again what exactly your point is?
If you read the article properly like you were supposed to you wont be talking nonsense.

The people in government are they not nigerians?
You just make generalized statements because you dont like government, the little palliative they've been giving to folks where do you think it came from Jupiter?
The free medi care that government hospitals are giving during this pandemic where do you think it came from, your pockets?
The isolation centres that is being used to treat covid patients, were did it come from,?
Donations made by churches and individuals is what thr government is using to help the situation. Remove the hatred and bigotry for government and see the good thats been done isntead of always criticising, blindly at that.
Keep getting fooled by all the media eye service.
The donations they are giving to the government, is it the government that are going to use them?
Instead of taking them to where they are needed they are busy asslicking the government.

If u think 50 percent cent of those items or money will reach the people that need them, ur living in a fools paradise

Yes,our government has messed up in so many ways but that does not change the fact that the lagos state government is not trying to do what they can. If the catholic churcb gives to only their members, pray tell, who will feed all those who arent christians, too old and the sick. Instead of lashing out like a toodler what we should be calling for is transparency and dlligence in giving out those items to the people who genuinely need it
We dont expect any form of diligence from them. Na today?
Many of these people going to government are doing it for eye service. If u like believe it.
Why should I go to government and enter media when I can donate to a particular set of people that I can reach out to. Keep believing the government at the detriment of the populace

I'm afraid at the kind of people we have in Nigeria. Read the article before you comment. Did we miss this part?

The Archbishop later revealed that the support offered to Lagos State Government was in addition to the provisions for the poor that he directed the over 180 parishes of the Archdiocese to make in their different localities spread all over the State. He commended the Priests and the faithful of the different Parishes for taking action on the directive, thereby revealing Jesus’ love of the poor in the provisions they are making for the people
.

About 78 smaller parishes that could not afford to make the provisions without some support were assisted with various sums of money from the nearly 10million naira that was raised from the Archbishop’s Appeal to the faithful at the beginning of the lockdown. He expressed gratitude to the lay faithful who within a short period of time helped him to raise the money.

To the best of my knowledge, ALL Parishes in Archdiocese of Lagos including the Cathedral shared relief materials to every poor Parishioners.
I hope u passed WAEC o.

What does this part of the sentence mean:

'The Archbishop later revealed that the support offered to Lagos State.....

Even at that, you're way off mark.
The catholic church in lagos does more charity than you can think of. Got to any government hospital, school, prison and ask those who work there you'd be surprised.
Now every parish has a society called ST Vincent De Paul and st Rita. They feed, clothe, pay hospital bills for the needy every week, without asking you any questions about your religion, what church you attend. EVERY WEEK.
Thats aside the private ones people embark on.
The catholic church in all its wisdom also takes its civil responsibilities very seriously. We always do our duty by assisting the Government were necessary. Because its a donation to the government its made public but I can assure you that charity is going on this very moment by the Catholic Church.
Ur going off point. We sont want to know if they are the best in charity.
