SoftP: Flimsy, weak, lean and irresponsible response.
I hope the leadership of CAN can rightly define the meaning of an association and by-laws governing a legal body in Nigeria.
It's most unfortunate to say Nigeria is almost buried.
I won't be surprise, those who make up the so called association,
A bling bling Pastor whose jet was used as a weapon carriage & a short man evil advocate who claimed the kidnapping rate in Nigeria is over exergerated
I hope and pray Mrs Timi gets a fair judgement.
Respect to her Husband Oga. Relax. What did u think CAN wud say? Why put the cart before the horse? Everyone really hopes the truth shud come out. Don't pass judgement yet oga. |

AverageAnnie: you don't know how it feels to be tagged as a Rape victim especially in a country like ours,,my dear you just have to endure the psychological effects till you're done enduring and brave enough to stand whatsoever bash you'll receive when you speak out.... Good. I cant feel another person's pain. But let's ask ourselves, what's the purpose of speaking out right now? The husband has been solidly behind her and they enjoying their lives. What suddenly changed that needed her to come out? I thought marriage is supposed to be something whereby couples keep thing between themselves? Why is the husband also carrying the matter (from his response) as though there is something else attached to the whole issue? |

AverageAnnie: let's say you're a Rape victim, and you tell the world your story and then everyone comes up with the "let's not believe her yet, till we hear from the court",hope you'll feel alright with such responses from people.... This is a man that has been accused several times by a lot of women Abi u Dy crush on am Why would u come out after more than ten years to tell us that u got raped? And ur already married and living with ur man! Even I will smell something fishy. I can believe at that point that there was some kind of sex. But I won't believe the rape part 'yet' And to make matters more baffling, I read that up to 30 ladies are planning to testify against the man. OK so this man in the last 3 decades or so has been able to lash more than 20 women by 'raping' them abi? And his cup was never full? From the pastor's response, it seemed there was indeed some carnal knowledge. But it also seems it wasn't rape in its true sense. Last last if indeed there was rape, the man should face the law and face it very very well. |

ValCon888: Thank you RMD. This case made me realize many Nigerians lack empathy. The ability to put yourself in the shoes of the abused. Do you know what it means to be raped? To be sexually assaulted by the one person who's supposed to protect you? Busola Dakolo is a strong woman to speak up. In saner societies the police would have promptly started investigations with helplines created to persuade more people to come forward. For those saying there was consent: Sleeping with a 17yr old girl is rape even if she says yes. This is because she lacks the legal capacity to give you consent. Even in the United States, the only way a man 18 and above can sleep with a girl of 17 is if they started dating when he was also underaged. That relationship is protected under the Romeo and Juliet Laws.
Modified: @ regiomontanus and neddstark and other silly people asking for evidence.
You say I lack wisdom, but it is you guys that lack sense. Is this your first time hearing about Pastor Fatoyinbo and women? Not just sleeping with them but wrecking their lives. Is this your first time?
In his reply, he stated they are trying to extort money from his church. Is he richer than Pastor Adeboye or Pastor Oyedepo? Why do we not hear such stories about these Pastors?
I had said earlier that investigations should be carried out. Does that not mean the relevant authorities should do their job and look for evidence?
Women must be encouraged to speak up because these monsters are not just in positions of authority, but hiding in plain sight around you.
So please try and have sense. If not for your sake but for the sake of your family and loved ones. Oga. Relax. nobody is saying rape is good. on the contrary, any rapist shud be jailed for life if possible. But must u just say the accused is guilty? Do u know how many gals u have had sex with by using their head that can come out to say u raped them? Relax and lets see how the evidences come in. Don't forget that many gals are joining in to also show how they were being raped too. Now ask urself how come so many people were being raped by just one man! Am not saying he's innocent. Am just saying it may have been some carnal knowledge, but not necessarily rape. |

Sports › Re: Maurizio Sarri: I Smoke 60 Cigarettes A Day, Says New Juventus Coach by blowjohn(m): 6:23pm On Jun 27, 2019 |
Wisdom58: New Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri has confessed to smoking 60 cigarettes a day.
The 60-year-old former banker is not only well known for his playing style but also his smoking habits.
He averages around four packets of cigarettes a day and he’s admitted it’s getting out of control.
“I smoke 60 a day, which is probably a few too many,” he revealed to La Nuova Riviera via Football Italia.
That works out at a whopping £1,400 every month.
“I don’t particularly feel the need to smoke during games, but straight afterwards it really is necessary,” he added. “I had back problems tormenting me for weeks, but I feel much better now.”
Sarri, whose signed a three-year deal at Juventus, accepts that he’ll have to win over some fans considering his ties with Napoli.
“I arrive with skepticism, just as I did with all my other clubs,” he said at his unveiling.
“I understand that, but I know only one way to change that and that is to win and convince while entertaining and getting results.
“For three years (at Napoli) I would wake up and think about how to defeat Juventus, because they were a winning team. I gave 110%, but we still couldn’t do it. I will now give everything for this club.”
Juventus mean business ahead of the new season.

Benekruku: National embarrassment!
Those smaller African countries be looking at our team like "Is that the team of the so called Giant of Africa." When I said in an earlier thread that these players are the most useless some people came to bash me. They pay most national team players like England peanuts and they even donate their money to charity whenever they play for country. Yet they always ginger to play for their country. But here in Nigeria and Africa after just one match they start protesting. Someone was asking if it's fair to work and not be paid! Please, that should be related to club functions not national call ups. This is football. This is about glory and honor. Useless players that can't play anything. They are not even up to the level of them kanu yet they r protesting. Nonsense. |

They left their clubs where they make money, to come and train to play for the country (risking injury) but your expect them to not worry about money? You guys will ignore the corruption and greed that seem to be the problem here, where is the budgeted money to execute the competition? What's with the delay? Soccer is a show that CAF get paid for. byrron: You haven't answered my question rather you are dancing around it with providing a link that does not prove that they are being owed nor scammed by their FA's.
If you agree to pay the eagles peanuts, then go ahead and pay them that agreed upon peanuts.
The amount paid out is not the issue here rather the consistent reneging in fulfilling one's contractual obligations is the issue.
Stay on topic Sir. It's a two way traffic oga. One is a lingering question of patriotism . The other is the constant scenario whereby the super eagles see these tournaments as an avenue to get huge pay checks. I agree that the NFF are always messing up in the aspect of player bonuses but for heaven's sake this is just the first match. It's not like they have been impressive over the last decade. Their priority should be national glory and honor. Not bonuses. |

chigo5: all the govt workers should stop receiving salary too cus Dey work for Nigeria, there side hustle should b there only income. English FA has installed a match fee and competition winning bonus system to compensate players in the national team setup. English FA usually pay England players around £1500 for winning a match qualifier/friendlies £1000 for a draw £500 for a defeat. While for competition likes World Cup and Euro Championship basic match fees goes up plus a certain bonus for every player in case England wins the competition. For example during 2014 FIFA World Cup English FA paid £2,500 for every match a player And see how committed they are. |
