Im watching Vinland Saga and its really enjoyable. Its the first new anime I've watched in awhile. I read a chapter of the manga but never continued. The art was very nice. I'll try an restart the manga soon. https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/w500_and_h282_face/epeKkcetNXp6s4J4iRHpe92ahCN.jpg |
durangokid:You mean the same core north that wants their own version of Amotekun? If you do simple math you only need support from 24 states. That means only 1 core north state has to agree. The sell is easy especially if they want more power conferred to themselves.

CLASSMAN:Non sharia state representatives should just pass a law. They have the numbers for a veto proof majority. Nobody would say no to having a bigger piece of pie. |
Atouke:Do you no longer believe hisbah is legal? Even if that's case the federal government should just ban all these illegal state security agencies by your logic. This why I say the ultimate solution is to amend the constitution to allow any tier of government to have their own police force and prisons. It also be smart to amend exclusive list item 2 and 1990 fire arms act. Stop the half measures and just do the hard work. |
Atouke:Until the federal government rolls into the NPF it has no legitimacy. Unless it is rolled into NPF special constable program it will have a hard time in court. The state governors even acknowledged that themselves. They say Amotekun is unarmed for that reason. Honestly none of these state security agencies are legal in my opinion. The constitution is pretty clear on it. The federal government chose to ignore beforehand. Sec 214 (1) of the constitution says no other police force can be established. The question is what defines a police force. I think item 68 of exclusive list would give the FG the win in court. Constitution exclusive list: 2. Arms, ammunition and explosives. 45. Police and other government security services established by law. 48. Prisons 68. Any matter incidental or supplementary to any matter mentioned elsewhere in this list. Section 214. (1) There shall be a police force for Nigeria, which shall be known as the Nigeria Police Force, and subject to the provisions of this section no other police force shall be established for the Federation or any part thereof. Responding to a question, the highly-placed source who is a key strategist behind Operation Amotekun, added:

Why don't you guys research before making claims you cant back up? The north west governors already said they wanted something similar. Your issue is with the federal government. The ultimate solution is to amend the constitution to allow any tier of government to have their own police force and prisons. It also be smart to amend exclusive list item 2 and 1990 fire arms act.

Man this guy is such a clown. The 5 of the 8 minutes of the video were pointless filler. He should make a script before shooting next time. |
Yawn why didn't you guys focus your efforts in Abia. That would have been much easier considering how bad the incumbent was. Honestly AGPA has better odds of winning a new state if they fired their incompetent campaign staff who lost Abia twice. |
crownwealth:Lol all you're good at is foolish sloganeering. I can't expect clowns like yourself to understand nuanced opinions. The constitution should be amended to allow any tier of government to hsve their own police force and prisons. Anything else is just a half measure.

Northern Muslims did not accuse Obasanjo, Ehindero and Nweke Jr. (all Southern Christians) of executing a Christianization agenda.I believe if the matter went to the supreme court they would naturally see all these security agencies as illegal if they considered police. There's little difference between them. If that's the case amend the constitution. Malami should sue if he has an issue. Im just waiting to see when if Federal government is going arrest someone. If they aren't going to enforce their laws the issue is dead. |
vizboy:You need constitutional amendment to allow that but everyone is focused on half measures. |
Buhari's economic policies are the reason. Nigeria's low GDP growth isnt helping either. It seems NBS will release the unemployment rate for 2019 by march unless they delay it again.

I'll never fathom why people avoid the ultimate solution to security being amending the constitution. It's should be obvious to everyone that's the core problem. Every other solution is just a half measure. |
Why haven't the spoke up about supporting the initiative yet. The IGP and rest of security agencies have media spokemen. |
budaatum:The Saudi legal system is backwards. He should be given legal representation especially if his life on the line. The government said they arrested the syndicate members but there's been no updates about the trial. The other issue is the lack of security at the airports that allows drugs pass through. Consequently, the NDLEA Commander in charge of MAKIA had launched an investigation, which culminated in the arrest and arraignment before a Federal High Court in Kano of seven staff of the airport. Meanwhile, the Airport Chief of Security of the Federal Airport Authority (FAAN), El-Yakub Lamir, disclosed that scanners at the Aminu Kano International Airport in particular, were not configured to detect drugs.

Timmmy:I hope u guys bring that animal to justice. |
ASHLAND:Blame the constitution. The state assemblies if I remember correctly have refused to abolish the joint local and state government accounts. That's one reason why Buhari had to use regulation to stop them. |
What ever Kano or FCT is doing the rest of the states should follow suit up north. Improve public education so it meets targets. |
The legal backing, one of the sources said, is for Amotekun to be transformed into a community policing policy of the federal government which the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is making efforts to implement. They're essentially going to be under the control of NPF ergo Buhari. They just take their pay checks from their state governments. One day we'll get passed all these half measures and just amend the constitution. Any tier of government should be allowed to form its own police force and maintain it own prisons. “So, Operation Amotekun is largely an intelligence outfit, they will not bear arms. Those we are engaging have knowledge of the local terrain, the culture and the language of our people which can assist the police and other security agencies.” statusquoante:

thunder74:You dont need the federal government help. Tell your state assembly representatives first. They can set rules regulating state electoral commission. |
Akwa Ibom isnt interested in regional force. |
Where Nigeria air? |
“The law will take its natural course in relation to excesses associated with organization, administration and participation in “Amotekun” or continuous association with it as an association.Lol they're threating them. I guess the police are ready to cage the cats. This might get interesting soon especially since Amotekun is unarmed. |
