Last week I wanted to buy pure water,I met a man there and he said it is ₦50 for one.
I just left him jejely and went to the next shop where I bought it for 2 for ₦50.
Since last week till date,it has been 2 for ₦50.
Some people are just merely wicked,forgetting that election is over.

Nobody is wicked here, it will soon increase in your area. In my area they increased it to 600 naira per bag just this morning. They went on strike since last week & this morning they resumed & increased it to 600 naira.

My dad & mum are the only ones at home now. I think the only thing there is, I believe there is a fulfilment that comes with knowing u have children u can call on, even if they aren't there with u, than having no one to call at all.

A lot of us use to think this way when we were your age. Truth is, as u grow older, your orientation begins to change. When u start approaching 40s, seeing your friends kids all getting grown up, I'm sure u might have a rethink.

Retailers are the ones exploiting people. They keep making calls up and down to set a new rate for prices of old stocks. That wine must have been produced over a year ago, so hiking the price is senseless.

I used to reason like this before, till i put my self in their shoes. If they don't increase their stock, where will they get money to restock at high price? If new price is selling for 5k & they are still selling 2500, where will they get the remaining 2500 to restock? You want them to start running at a loss? What about other things they get to survive that have increased? Pure water in my area is now 6h going to 1k per bag, u expect people not to add price to their goods?

Is it not better buying fuel at 195 on queue with subsidy than buying fuel at 700 without queue at a higher subsidy rate?? Nigerians suffered for nothing and are still suffering for nothing. For those of u coming here to post trash, u may not be suffering now because of the stipends this govt is paying u, but bear in mind your children will suffer for it in the future.

Fuel ought to be around 1500 per liter if not for subsidy. Why do u think fuel remained below 700 when all other products are flying up? They realized Nigerians will revolt if fuel starts skyrocketing without control, so they started subsidizing it. Something they removed at 195, they started paying more at 700.

Osinbajo remained silent in the face of all the terrible things going on during the Buhari administration and he will be judged for that. History isn't interested in what Osinbajo could have done - it is interested in what he did. Sure, he is a likeable character, far more likeable than Buhari - but likeability isn't the standard here.

People will campaign against Osibanjo calling him part of Buhari's cabinet. He was insulted and called a fake pastor by those acting like they love him now. APC delegates and many APC supporters at large can see through the deceit of the opposition.

People knew Osinbanjo had no say in Buhari govt. The little time he was given to rule, when buhari travelled, everyone saw improvement in the nation. Anyways there is no point arguing, it is already in d past. But my point is, tinubu interest in presidency, hugely affected Osinbanjo chance. Having the support of key party members like tinubu would have won Osinbanjo the election. People started rooting for Obi when APC kicked Osinbanjo out.

Go read 50 cent recent comment on Nigeria. The govt will stop this floating after sometime and start paying again, my only worry is hope they don't do it late. Tinubu needs to sustain the Naira float, it will settle where it settles. He should remove subsidy. All these people panicking because there is difficulty only show why successive governments have led to this point. They don’t have the balls to do the right thing. Your analogy doesn't apply to Nigeria situation. It is impossible for our weightless & unhealthy naira to withstand the dollar without support! The economy is zero, the nation has lots of debts & all these years of corruption and funds mismanagement effects are gradually coming up. It is either the govt stop the floating by paying to defend the naira or it's going to be very disastrous, because the depreciation is not going to stop!

Mind u, if the govt wants to start defending the naira, he is going to start from the current exchange value, same way they have started paying fuel subsidy at 700 naira, something they removed at 195 naira. The earlier he starts paying to defend the naira, the better! All these chasing of bdc are never going to solve anything.

The idea of floating the Naira is wrong. Gov should determine the value of the Naira to dollar based on their strategic national interests. Floating the Naira makes it permanently unstable.

I am on the same page with u, I only phrased my statement that way to explain to the guy calling for fixed exchange rate. Yes, they are paying subsidy for fuel after they saw removal was not sustainable. Try & error govt. People would have be revolting by now, because fuel for still dey fly like dollar, probably 1700 per litre. I don't know how someone will remove subsidy from inauguration ground without even getting to office. I wonder if he has advisers at all

I think u should ask why tinubu floated the naira in the first place. Having a dollar at a compelled fixed rate means subsidizing dollar.
Buhari was paying to keep dollar below 700. What is happening to naira is more than mere speculation. Our export capacity is zero coupled with corruption. All the money that are being borrowed are not utilized. But shared among politicians. These are the end results. Now that the nation is broke, subsidy is no longer sustainable on many things according to govt oh. Currently only fuel is being subsidize to avoid people revolting.
