If you have worked in a company run by people who have small sense, as the company is growing, you will se the ogas learning the lessons and starting to adopt risk management methods they would have scoffed at as wasting of money as revenue increases

safety and risk management cost money - but they cost much more if you are caught slipping and a minor problem can snowball into a major incident.

easy classic example - someone faints in a tank. do you have the winch to pull him out? do you have breathing apparatus? if so you send someone in after him with breathing apparatus. if not someone goes in to retrieve the guy and also faints. repeat until you realize this will not work and report to mgt there are x dead men in a tank.

There's a reason most companies take risk management serious. Like that technician fainting in tank example you gave ; the technician may die begore he's retrieved and that is a potential law suit worth hundred of millions in naira the company will be facing from the technicians family.

The company will also have to deal with negative press that comes with such incident. All of which could've been avoided if they just take risk management serious.

We nearly scored couple of Corners last week, but Courtois just spread everywhere like virus, he no allow the ball enter. But yesterday our corners were very poor (by our standard) and I think it is solely because we were focusing more on not leaving our half too open while contesting corner kicks to avoid break away counterattack from those fast Madrid wingers.

This present Arsenal would defeat Athletico Madrid leave story bro. I have watched Athletico Fumbled consistently against Barca this season and also saw them getting knocked out by this weak Real Madrid team. Our midfield will definitely wear them out and we will come out tops if we are to play them. Most people are making the mistake of thinking the current Athletico is the old athletico who are the maestro of low block; they are not !(At least from their matches I've watched this season)

Inter on the other hand is a more balanced Athletico Madrid that is good in almost all department. Inter can match us in all departments on the pitch ; In fact they are the only team that bested us in this year's champions league thus far. They have a way of beating our press every time from the back to midfield.

In the group stage, we had 63% possession to their 37%, we played 20 shots and none found the back of the net, we played 13 corners and none was converted. They simply managed to score one PK against us and closed shop.

This year's Arsenal vs Real Madrid is enough material for anybody that want to write paper on Results cancel insults 💯

Arsenal won the first leg 3-0 against the reigning champions (which is no mean feat), but instead of commendation, all arsenal got in return was insult.
Instead of pundits talking about Arsenal's compact midfield, their defence's discipline and how the whole team quickly forms into shape when they don't have the ball; all they did was gloat about the possibility of a Real Madrid comeback.

We all know Arsenal as a club has not covered itself in glory with their performance in the UCL competition in recent times, but at least Courtesy demands that sports analysts and pundits take time to discuss about arsenal holding their own and taking advantage of the 3 goal advantage.

Real madrid as a club shamelessly pandered to social media rhetorics, they fed the trolls and gave bloggers enough materials to work with. They even brought in motivational speakers to talk to their players while they made sure everyone on the internet knew about it.

All Arsenal needed to do was focus on getting a favorable result for the second leg while ignoring all the insults flying left and right.

Now the result is : Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 5-1 on two legs in the 2025 UCL quarter finals and that is what everybody will remember in 50 years' time. Nobody will remember a so called "Remontada" that never happened.

The first time I heard of this, I was surprised because one girl whenever coming to school will never travel with her brother and I wondered why you take that decision, After I thought about it, it weirdly makes sense from a risk management and Disaster recovery POV

My mum's friend died in an accident which involved herself, her husband and two of their children.

The bus they were travelling in from Ilesha to Lagos somersaulted, the woman was flung out of the window and she hit her head on the tarred road. Although she died in the accident, their family was "lucky" because her husband survived with a neck injury, one of the daughters had a dislocated arm and the second daughter had a minor bruise on her head.

The incident was one of the reasons I dread road traveling across this country o. It was also what made me see sense in my own parent's disposition to family travel

Right from my childhood it is a tradition in our family that we don't travel all at once. Most of the travels my parents did, they did without we the children. Sometimes mummy might go with one of my two sisters , while dad travel solo leaving me and my other sister at home.

No matter how important the occasion is, we always have at least one member of the nuclear family not traveling. I never read meaning to it until I was much grown and thought maybe it was an intentional risk management technique on the part of my parents.

When I asked my parents if that was indeed their intentions, my mum said "Olorun maje a ku akurun" (Which roughly translates to "May we not die tragically with our entire lineage wiped off" )

I read about one guy in Benue (I can't recall his name now) who armed his people and formed a local militia to fight back against the Fulani Militia . For years he dealt with them and it was blood for blood on that axis; at some point the Nigerian Army declared him wanted. Much later the state government felt he was getting too powerful and decided to arrange an amnesty for him , arranged for him and his militia to disarm with the promise the government will ensure the people are protected.

The guy and his militia surrendered their weapons and embraced the amnesty program. Guess what? The Nigerian Army came to arrest him in contravention of the amnesty program terms and murdered him in cold blood.

After the guy's death, his people suffered more attacks from the Fulani Militia and it still continues in Benue state in general till date.

I see what you are saying. However, no woman wakes up, picks her daughter and travels out of state to her baby daddy’s to rekindle, if they have not been talking. Let me assure you that while there may have been no promises of commitment or even marriage talk from the guy, they (BM and BS) were talking before she travelled out of state with a child to surprise him. Again, not justifying the surprise but let me assure you that the adults (BD and BM) definitely had something going and she figured she could surprise him.

Irrespective of the time they showed up, even if na 7AM, your child just traveled across state with BM to your house unannounced. The smartest thing he should have done was to get them settled/ rested somewhere else not send them back immediately. Call a trusted friend, a family member or get a room for them.

The fool was thinking with his tool because the BM’s unannounced visit don cast the parole with the banny she met at home and he obviously did not want to lose on that end because he may prioritize that relationship to that of his BM. More than likely, the Banny at home was unaware he has a BM/ daughter, otherwise he wouldn’t be that tempered about that visit.

As regards Ur last paragraph, I feel the OGs in the past that have gotten into such instances may have acted worse but we don't know because none of their actions and inactions led to such tragic loss of life. Do you know that the baba mama could've died in her sleep while he accommodated her and the news we will see on the internet will be " Baba mama dies mysteriously while visting her baby daddy after a long time ". The baby daddy will be arrested and questioned for days by the Nigerian police especially if the family just like this insist they suspect foul play with or without evidence.
