When you just want to intentionally oppose, I need to save myself the strength.
The whole state is going haywire. From ritual killings, to kidnappings, to senseless killings... Everyday, Anambra is in the news for death, and we both know these figures are underreported.
Then for once, the governor tries an approach, and I am hearing EFCC should track funds...As if EFCC has not been existing till now. Suddenly their rights to worship matter, including ripping innocent people of their body parts
When the legislators reply, I'll get back to him.
E no pass like that.[/color] I think some people just like to always hold an opposing view no matter how compelling Ur argument may be. Like u rightly said, the Anambra state government is trying to do something which states like Ogun sef should emulate. They should weild a very big stick against such crimes lest more and more people lose their lives to ritualist. Yet people still carry agenda enter the matter. Funny thing is the real traditional worshippers will tell u that their religion does not support sacrifice of human parts. It's obvious this is not aimed at any traditional worshipper but rather at those who would sever other people's head, limbs and gouge other people's eyes all in the name of making money ( all of which are crime in their respective ways)
How will a rational person look at that and start dragging Christianity, Islam and any other religion that does not preach human body part ritual for riches? Government dey try solve a problem, Una Don carry agenda look am sharp sharp turn am to religious matter 🤦♂️ |

Amigoss: Ok I get your point but that validity period the telcos place on data usage means you can't enjoy your package/plan when not in use or their network is unavailable till it expires also doesnt make sense...
If I buy 5gb,give me unlimited time to use up my data before I buy another, nor dey tell me i have this time to that time to use my own data else it expires, that is cheating..... Unlike DSTV, telecos have different packages for different duration. They have data that can serve u for a day, a week, a month, 3 months and even a year. Na u go buy the one wey u prefer. DSTV has monthly subs u don't have control over when to use and when it is to expire. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:30pm On Feb 11, 2025 |
LordAdam16: The telcos are still operating at a profit.
The telcos reduced the cost of data consistently from 2008 to 2020. Inflation went through the roof during the same period.
Nigerians have been overpaying for telecom services since its introduction. The telcos have absurd margins. Fine. Let's accept no more price cuts because of economic realities. Why the hell are they still going above the NCC's 50% cap?
They asked for 100%. NCC accepted 50%. MTN increased by 200%. Did they not receive the memo or are they regulating themselves?
-Lord It is left for NCC to call them to order as regards the margin permissible for the increment. You can say Nigerians have been overpaying for telecoms' services since inception, but u and I know they do their financial accounts yearly like all business enterprise. They definitely won't say because they've made excess profit in the past, then they will be comfortable making losses in present day when the business environment is very harsh |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:26pm On Feb 11, 2025 |
Amigoss: Bros where you leave this analysis when E reach DSTV turn cos you were always against those ones increasing, make all of dem sha getat with their shitty service..... My issue with DSTV is clear and simple:" Pay as you Go". Telecos already have that and u are in control of what u use. DSTV on the other hand does not take into cognizance the periods u travel out of station and ur DSTV decoder is lying idle for two weeks out of the 4 weeks that make a month. The sub will expire without u enjoying the service to a premium; whereas u can contol how long ur data/airtime lasts. If DSTV adopts PAYG today, I wouldn't really be worried about them increasing price and days when it rains all day and network is unavailable |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:20pm On Feb 11, 2025 |
Theflint1: I hear it does, that they've been downing tools to reduce operational costs, or what else could be the reason? I've not really experienced drop in their network speed sha, it has remained the same for me for a while now. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:39pm On Feb 11, 2025 |
Theflint1: I don't think so o, a lot of Nigerian's expect the network providers not to increase prices or even they do, keep it low, like around 10-15%. Maybe they forget these network providers are for-profit businesses.
I just hope the price increases means they restore full service, cause these days it takes grace for you to make a 3-minute call without it dropping multiple times. People holding that point of view are either ignorant or just selfish. Almost very goods and even services available has experienced increase in price ; so it is expected the Telecos adjust their own prices to reflect the current economic realities. I'm sure the telecos' employees would've had their salaries reviewed at least twice from 2023 till date. Except the telecos want to be running at a loss and be unable to meet their financial obligations, they just have no choice but to increase their own price too. I don't think the drop in their network/service has anything to do with the increment in tariffs sha |

Theflint1: Shalaye don full bucket
Nigerian's are fond of pointing fingers at the wrong things, maybe na social engineering sha, but I wonder how they expect the cost of practically everything else they know to have increased by at least 100% in the past two years, yet magically expect data and call prices to remain same. I believe most people know the increment was going to happen sooner or later, they are just pissed that those influencers collected money to start the discussion on social media ni. Normally Nigerians always like to look for who to para for . Me I know the increment will definitely happen because almost all the telecos' operating costs have increased astronomically. |

People immediately called them Black Jesus/Judas for taking money to influence such discussion. I think Lawrence later deleted the thread sef. LordAdam16: I don't think it's bizarre to expect the GM of an oil company to have his own place.
He is doing alright compensation wise.
There's an explanation.
Tommy used to be rich. He had his own outfit. Became successful but lost it all in a bust cycle. He may be more frugal because of that experience.
Secondly, the wife and daughter were originally on a visit. After spring break, the wife was to return to her now ex and the daughter to college. They stayed longer than they should have.
The living arrangement is perfectly fine when you exclude the August visitors. It's just two aged bachelors sharing a house. Nothing out of the ordinary. Speaker McCarthy rented a room from Pollster Frank Luntz during COVID. At the time he was the House Minority Leader.
That's an arrangement that'll work with even two tech execs who are friends but do not have large families.
The workers get man camps. The execs live in a spacious estate. If they had families at the time of renting, they'll opt to live separately. Not to mention, the series did not dig into their finances. They could have multiple properties elsewhere in the country. This is the one close to work. Texas is HUGE!
-Lord Well, I was thinking at least at least Tommy should be living a decent life eating good food, having his own maid, having a driver who drives him and living in a decent house even as a bachelor. I get the angle of Tommy being a top guy who lost everything when there was oil bust, but as of present he is a GM of a mid sized oil company; the company should be able to provide decent accommodation to each of their senior staff not the GM and the attorney to the company sharing the same building. The attorney making use of the house as office even makes it look somehow especially when u consider how Monty lives flamboyant lifestyle at the headquarters. |
