There is a reason why most foreign owned organizations in Nigeria have adopted a policy of leasing rather than outrightly buying or building properties which they use for commercial purposes.

Foreign investors gather data, they study trends & patterns and take strategic decisions. A common man on the street will not understand and will be wondering why a very big foreign owned company is leasing their office space instead of building a state of the art office complex(Which they can obviously afford to).

A foreign investor obviously knows how unstable our policies and laws can be. In fact, Nigerian academics write academic papers regularly and publish them in international journals. I'm sure there will be several academic papers on how inconsistent our government is with their polices. There will be papers on how government don't obey court orders. Anybody can read these things online.

That's why I think it is laughable when people were implying that what Davido said on the podcast is what was going to shape business decisions of would be foreign investors. Shey foreign investors no get access to data ni?

Whether in opposition or ruling party, sometimes I do wonder how people actually like and stan someone like Wike. I mean, what virtues would anybody see in him and say it is what endears them to Wike?

It is always shocking when I see people stanning someone like Wike who likes violence more than anything. He talks anyhow, demolishes people's properties without remorse and won't even bat an eyelid if his boys throw dynamite into the property of an adversary.

Unfortunately, nobody has the gift of foretelling what a typical Nigerian politician would do when he gets to the coveted seat.

But from my observation, it appears Yayi has penchant for working sha . I have a relative that lives somewhere in Lagos not too far from one of Yayi’s houses . The way Yayi Dey always see to maintenance of their roads is shocking . Anytime rainy season ends like this , Yayi would send contractors to fix any visible pothole on the roads leading to that area .

Normally Nigerian legal system is very slow on this kind of cases. If the baba do civil case with him, e fit take like maybe 2 years for high court to rule. Now he will appeal and those ones will take some years again and then supreme court.

I am not God o, but the chances of a 97 year old man seeing through such number of years in court is very slim. Maybe na why the baba kukuma use his influence pursue criminal defamation case ASAP because if the baba pass on and the civil case still dey court that time, the judge will just discontinue the case.

My personal theory is that Afe Babalola is not a saint and has skeleton in his cupboard considering he was lawyer to government during Babangida era, during Abacha era and was also Obasanjo's personal lawyer who did a whole lot of stuff for baba Iyabo. In fact, in 2006 during a senate hearing Atiku alleged that Obasanjo paid Afe Babalola N250m of government fund to just register a company. The man has influence and most likely used it in favor of the clients who can afford to pay his fees.

However I don't think Dele Farotimi will be able to prove that in court. I believe he wrote what he wrote because he knows the baba may not have enough juice in him to see through the defamation case in his lifetime.
