iamoyindamola:U hate the benefactor of all Nollywood Yoruba actresses ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Dem say na blank dem fire. Na this same place people make that argument in favor of Nigerian army |
iamoyindamola:I don't think this is the national secretariat. I'm guessing this is the Lagos state secretariat and they are evacuating his belongings since Sego is now the new state chairman. Probably his opps just use the video press him neck over the appeal court ruling. But I don't this this video has anything to do with that appeal court matter |
iamoyindamola:The guy did not drag with them na. On the contrary, they wanted to drag the guy and beat him up(Same thing they would've done if he had gone to meet them). Anybody who thinks the moment those soldiers dropped from their vehicle they had any plan not to assault the guy, such person is joking. |
raumdeuter:So it's everybody that will have place to clear to when a convoy suddenly appears from nowhere? Na wa o. The way una dey always spin obvious things in this country ehn....U will leave the person that has acted the wrong way and start blaming the victim. See about 3 months ago I was in a convoy and the combined police + soldier escort was leading our vehicle to clear the road. We got to a part of the city where the road was in very bad state and the escort were blowing siren to clear the road. As much as several motorists made way for us, few couldn't get where to maneuver. It took two soldiers going to the front of the line to clear the junction before we could move further. Would it have made any sense if those soldiers chose to beat on the motorists by our side without anywhere to clear instead? |
izzou:okay |
Shegzdave:Exactly! And see people trying to justify bad behaviour and blaming the victim. Truly if dem explain this country give u and u understand, the person no explain well |
Ibime:Where should he clear to? Inside gutter? Since u know the soldiers will always assault u when they desire to, why then are u making it seem like apologizing would've made them "forgive" him? If ordinary citizens would not be critical of bad behavior to at least send a message that we are no longer in military era; then we shouldn't be critical when they kill a citizen while they are assaulting him o. |
raumdeuter:Where do u rush off to on a busy road? Didn't see where the victim said the sidewalk was also crowded? If u watch the video u will see Keke moving on that road as well. Except u are saying the driver should've ram into other road users? |
raumdeuter:Before u people start bring all kinds of narrative, this is the narration of the victim. This is obviously a case of the army blowing siren and driving other road users off the road. They probably beat the guy up cos he didn't clear off the road as fast as they wanted him to. If I was in his shoes I would've gotten beat up as well cos I know there's nothing that will placate the useless ediots in uniform. Blaming the victim just doesn't make sense when we all know the soldiers will assault u the moment they set their mind to do so
|
Ibime:How do u show comportment when armed soldiers jumped down from their vehicle, corner u behind the steering and trying to drag u away? Haba! |
Ibime:The problem here is u like the rest of the people blaming the guy didn't even know what exactly happened but u are assuming he did something wrong and deserved to be brutalized for it. The wife obviously brought out camera to get evidence because whether he rolls in the gutter or postrates, they will still assault him. Na wa o. |
izzou:I suggest the army personnel behave well and not go about brutalizing people over any slight issue. If he commits a crime they can arrest him and hand over to the appropriate authorities. It is a misnomer that once u have an encounter with a soldier u automatically assume u will be brutalized. It is not the victim that should do something , but the soldiers to behave well and not turn him to victim |
Ibime:They are wrong ! There's nothing u will do that will save u from being brutalized at that point. It seems u've never had encounter with those useless soldiers in company of their oga's before. The only thing that will save u is not being in that position at all. If u like begin roll on the floor, dem go match u for ground. |
iamoyindamola:The guy's lawyer has written to the chief of army staff demanding for the sack of the Major-General and his orderly. He also demanded for N150m as damages. Unfortunately I doubt justice will be served. I won't be surprised if the army spokesperson comes out to defend the Major-General and just rubbish the victim with one allegation. Nigerian army can be shameless like that. — oseni rufai (@ruffydfire) November 19, 2024 |
afrodoc2:Omo! Shiiit is crazy. I saw some ediots in the comment section blaming the guy saying he should've come down from the car and be "humble" ; as if the wicked soldiers would not have stamped on him with their boots if he did so. It's one thing to be oppressed in this country, it's another thing to see Ur fellow citizen arguing in favor of Ur oppressor.😩 |
Unlimited22:Imagine. Major-General and he's moving that way. |
A Major in the Nigerian army actively taking part in brutalizing a citizen in broad daylight. Shame! 🤮
|
popizaino:Look at u struggling to argue urself out of a box. So by your own admission OBJ's tenure witnessed exponential GDP growth but somehow he is not an economic genius ba? So what is he ? Economic dumbass? Or better still let me ask you: What is Tinubu? economic genius raise to power 100? You just have problem with accepting facts. You claimed he didn't have any significant infrastructure to show (which is false) , I showed u just one which is still visible till today as confirmed by a serving minister......Yet u still want to stick ur uninformed view. When u are ready to disabuse ur mind, u will read the several rebuttals OBJ has done on the $16billion story. Look at you talking about Nigeria struggling to export 1.4m barrels per day as if that in itself is not a failure of the current leadership of the country. If Nigeria could export enough crude during OBJ's era it only means his government had a grip on security back then. |
Theflint1:The thing is APC is so good with propaganda that people don't even know when they are getting distracted with their propaganda. As in.... People that lived well under OBJ will be joining Tinubu and his appointees to call OBJ names while everybody can clearly see the misgovernance happening under the same APC. I never see this kind thing before. Calling OBJ names from today till tomorrow will not cauterize the wound of hardship APC's government has inflicted on everyone. |
popizaino:Which foundational insfrastructure are u talking about ? The problem u are having is that u have been sucked-in by APC's propaganda machine to think OBJ's administration was as useless as APC's Talking about infrastructure, below is what Adelabu a serving minister under the current APC said about OBJ's foundational infrastructure. Before he came into office, President Bola Tinubu had also accused Obasanjo of spending $16bn on power without corresponding supply of electricity to Nigerians.https://punchng.com/obasanjos-8bn-power-plants-helping-nigeria-minister/ OBJ may have his flaws, but certainly he didn't dump this country into the economic abyss we currently find ourselves. You should focus ur anger at people responsible for that. OBJ's tenure was characterized by economic prosperity contrary what APC propaganda machine would have u believe. The facts are there for objective people to see. |
11 people doing the same job of speaking for the presidency and we say we are broke but no evidence of cutting costs 🤷♂️
|
afrodoc2: iamoyindamola:I just checked now, they are indeed very old o. Probably he thought I was interested in old series and movies. |
One day we would talk about the 3rd term agenda which OBJ's opps usually bring up to denigrate him anytime he goes critical on any president(particularly presidents voted in under the rule of APC). Obasanjo is no a saint and nobody would even try to make him one, but lessons need to be taken from his administration and compare it with what we have today. We will talk about how the house of assembly acted with independence and stood on the side of the people by kicking out the idea of amending the constitution to allow for OBJ's 3rd term. We need to talk about how house of assembly has now been reduced to rubber stamp that just does the bidding of whoever heads the executive as president. As much as the HOA and it's leadership were corrupt back then, they still manage to do their jobs of siding with the people and not just rubber stamping everything like we've witnessed in recent years. |
Suicideboy:Thanks, lemme bookmark this and look them up fess. |
GloriousGbola:I no like that one too, very bloody sport |
User09:Normally the South African investors should be asking the CFO of Mutlichoice Nigeria serious questions; questions that should cost people jobs. |
raumdeuter:This is why I'm not a fan of the sport. How can two adults inflicting serious harm on each other's upper body part be deemed a sport? Even football that doesn't involve any form of physical violence, people get serious injured by vicious tackles; talk more of a sport that is designed to see who can inflict more pain on the other party . |
iamoyindamola:Okay, will just wait for them to be tru |
User09:I never said they do, I said they "may" because ideally multinationals keep different accounts with different banks . I don't have knowledge of their financials so I obviously can't say with full conviction what they have or they don't have. I was only correcting the impression that Multichoice placed the funds with Heritage because of Saraki or any high level person on Heritage's board. From time to time multinationals place funds with different banks either in form of investment or for just normal operational purposes. If indeed their current cash portfolio is $39m and they banked $21m with Heritage bank, then surely it is a failure of risk management on their part. |
GloriousGbola:I don't think this has anything to do with Saraki's interest in the bank. It's normal for companies to have funds with different banks. It's only because heritage failed that is making it seem like Multichoice was wrong having funds with them. Banks employ well paid relationship managers who run after companies' finance team for funds placement. Multichoice may have x5 of that amount with bigger banks like UBA, Zenith, Access, StanbicIBTC, etc. The only issue here is why does a big company like Multichoice not see heritage bank was sick and didn't pull out their funds early? |
iamoyindamola:Yeah, but it seems they are not done with it yet. What episode are they on now? |
