popizaino:Try and be watching more matches so u won't be out here erroneously claiming Real Madrid often play to outscore their opponents from two goals down 👌 |
TemporaryHansel:Well, it appears it is now becoming a pattern that when an oppressive leader dies, people always find a way to suddenly turn them into a deity to be worshipped for reasons best known to them....... More like we have people who have volunteered themselves to be always available to rewrite history. By all standards, Gaddafi was not the man they now want him to be in death. Gaddafi was in power from 1969 to 2011 and he committed series of attrocities ranging from oppressing of his country, jailing opposition leaders and even sponsoring terrorism activities outside the borders of his country. There's a reason why people like Ali Aujali who was one of his trusted men turned on him and joined the rebels that later unalived him. Aujali spent almost all his adult life serving under Gadaffi from 1969 till 2011 when he ported. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-25979532.amp I'm not surprised tho. We've seen people trying to re-write history even on this platform about whom Nigeria's Abacha was years after his death. I guess this is the new Normal, people doing PR for dead tyrants. Although the fault is not 100% that of the people doing the PR Sha. Yorubas have a saying that goes " aiṣedédé ara ayé ló jẹ́ ká ṣ'edaro ara ọ̀run " ( It is the inadequacies of the living that makes us miss the dead) |
A40:There's a reason they are being referred to as terrorist sympathizers. They are no better than the people they stan; they just don't have access to bombs, missiles and guns for now. I read BBC's account of the Israelis' retaliatory attack and they noted that that the Jews avoided populated areas and focused on military target in contrast to Iran that sent missiles towards Israel's most populated city. The Persians are not beating the allegations and so are their supporters. |
Ballzproblem2:I thought I was reading people chatting shiiit that IDF fighter jets didn't enter Iranian airspace. How come? 🤷♂️ |
popizaino:What has the opinion of a random person got to do with the fact that you don't watch matches but you are forming Ur opinion from a single match result? 😒 People that watch matches know u are capping. Just take the L and move on bro. Everybody that watch football matches regularly know real madrid don't go into any match to concede two goals and turn it around later. They are not in the business of "outsocring" their opponents like you erroneously claimed. As for ur Kogi guy defending why Kogi needs an airport, Goodluck to him and the good people of Kogi state on that. |
swiz123:Alhaji Popizaino doesn’t even watch enough Chelsea’s matches ; talk more of Madrid matches . ![]() |
Amigoss:Okay . Let the state keep lagging behind due to bad leaders and docile followership while states not as rich as them keep progressing . Make Bayelsa dey drag with dem Kogi and Kwara states wey no Dey collect derivation . |
Ibime:I’m not even defending his oppressor asss , I’m only saying that calling the police in this case is better than assaulting Akpi or unaliving him. |
seankafor:So would you be happy if Burna had kidnapped and his dead body was found later ? Na wa for una o. When Burna was beating people up and having his boys shoot at night clubs una complain ; now he use police una still complain 🤦♂️ |
TemporaryHansel:You obviously don't have an idea of Nigerian constitution. By law, the federal government owns everything under the ground so all those talks about ND states controlling 100% of their resources is dead on arrival. The question is : The 13% that is being shared to the ND states, what have the governors been doing with it? Can they show us anything tangible they have been doing with it? Even some states not getting 13% derivation are doing better than states who do. It is a shame. |
GloriousGbola:The funny thing is the staff of this moribund PH refinery will most likely get TAM allowance despite the TAM being unsuccessful (It is standard for players in the oil & gas space to pay TAM allowance to staff after completion of each TAM) Yar Adua and NLC did us strong thing by reversing sale of this refinery back then sha, ![]() |
Amigoss:They should demand for more accountability from their leaders now. How can their state be in that kind of mess despite collecting 13% Derivation as an oil producing state and they are okay with that? |
CrystalTiger:I think the people of the state are just too docile; they just accept every nonsense their governors have been doing. And funny enough, if they had not carved them out of Rivers state, they would've been crying marginalization today o. |
popizaino:It's actually a shame because most governors are highly educated people ranging from PhD holders, trained professionals like doctors, engineers, business managers, ex-bankers, professors, etc. |
CrystalTiger:This country's problem just defies logic. A small state like Bayelsa with so much water bodies can easily generate electricity through investment in hydropower plants. Instead everybody just mount on top national grid. When I was in the north, I kept asking why can't northern governors invest in solar energy on a large scale considering the kind of sun that shines in that part of the country? By 7-7.30 pm u will see the sun still in the sky. As much as FG's ministry of power has its own fault, some of these governors of states need to start doing something at their own respective state levels if the country will ever develop beyond the level it is currently |
He don run out of town

This man was 94 year old when he made this warning two years ago . But younger Nigerians say dem get coconut 🥥 head , dem no dey hear word . Now everywhere don cast. Even people wey paste “Asiwaju 2023 “ sticker for their cars no see money buy fuel again inside the car. ☹️

reccy:The problem with Ponzi scheme is that u never know when it will crash. It may crash the same date u decide to "invest" in it. It happened to a lot of people with MMM. |

iamoyindamola:I don’t how true it is , but someone told me the reason why GTB is having the most issues with this upgrade is because they were using a customized app/platform . Now that they need to move to another platform it’s a big problem for them unlike those who were using a general app/platform. I am not a tech guy so I don’t really understand much of what the guy said. But he said other banks will not face as much issue as GTB when they are moving to new platform |
afrodoc2:“Mugu must fall , Guyman must chop am ! “ There’s a reason the “dollar-in-the-car-booth” 419 format has been working for almost 40 years now |
Are we all just going to pretend we didn’t know this stupiiid current administration blamed Binance for weakening naira and went on wild goose chase incarcerating Binance executives ? https://www.nairaland.com/8248886/binance-executive-gambaryan-departs-nigeria Today all charges against the executives are quashed ,tax payers money spent on legal fees gone and the Naira is still weak against the Dollar 🤦♂️ |
raumdeuter:If I was that Egbon, I would be mad too ! $50k is not small money in naija currency at any point in time. If he wasn’t in America he would’ve died of stroke in naija losing that amount of money to stock market . As regards the stockbroker guy, I think almost all stockbrokers are still dealing with the aftermath of the great economic depression. Till my old man’s last breath , he still talks about millions he lost due to his stock broker not selling when he ought to during that economic depression . He said the guy is nowhere to be found . I’m sure that guy too would have several people looking for him. This Nigeria ehn…. It’s best u just learn from the experience of others . I avoid investment in Nigerian stock like plague considering inflation rate , Nigerian factor, weak corporate governance and historical events |
raumdeuter:My old man bought Daar communications shares when it was listed on NSE. Few years down the line , he always cussed Dokpesi under his breath for running them shareholders streets . You see that ur first paragraph ehn, same thing will happen to banks with this upcoming consolidation exercise . Almost all the banks sold shares and people were being sweet talk to part with their hard earned money to “buy a part of the bank “ by virtue of buying their shares . All the banks are in a race to meet up with the new capital requirements as released by CBN but we all know that not all the banks will survive the consolidation exercise . Some of these banks that raised funds will die natural death in the coming years while some will be acquired by bigger banks . It has happened before . The banks who die natural death like Heritage bank did recently , their shareholders will get nothing for their troubles while those who will get acquired; some of the shares value will drop . Some people who have 10,000 units of shares will see it drop to 4,500 right before their eyes . I’ve seen all sorts of magic with Nigerian owned businesses listed on NSE. We pay lip service to corporate governance in this country yet shareholders keep losing their fortune through holding shares in badly managed companies |
raumdeuter:You have successfully contributed to the betterment of the country by leaving the pension fund for us. I’m sure Buhari would’ve borrowed it in his first term But on a serious note, I always wonder what will happen to all the pension funds in the RSA accounts of thousands of Nigerians who have japa and didn’t look back. For example my former colleague ; his parents have 3 kids . His two brothers japa before him leaving their pension funds behind . My former colleague japa with his wife who worked in an oil company and both of them also left their pension funds behind in their RSA account cos they obviously can’t access it yet in their 30’s. I’m sure they don’t even care about the pensions now sef, but how can government or PFA hold on to the funds just like that ? |
Itsrm:Na so people rush enter MMM that year claiming it’s because of Buhari’s economy . Anybody that didn’t learn from the MMM yawa is destined to lose money to Ponzi schemes from heaven. kadara ni. |
GloriousGbola:I don’t shiiit where I eat baba mi . ![]() |
raumdeuter:Personally I think investing in Nigerian company stocks is a loss making venture . Even when the economy was still better , I see buying Nigerian stock as you just giving them your funds to run their business while their management team do as they like with your money . I’ve seen management team of big PLC’s live the best lives , ride the best cars , go on all expenses paid “business trips” all over the world , pay themselves the best salaries and then pay paltry dividends to the so called “shareholders” who are supposed to be the owners of the business . I see this through the lens of my old man who is a very strong believer in investing in shares . I’ve been to enough AGM’s to see that the so called management team of these PLC’s don’t really regard the opinion of the shareholders like that sef. All these was when the economy was in better shape and these companies were making profit. The companies in the attached are companies that always keep my old man glued to business news on TV while we were growing up . He keeps monitoring their performance in the stock market through business and will be muttering to himself words like “ If I see small money now I will buy more Nigerian Breweries stock ….. I should buy Nestle stock by next year Insha Allah “ …etc Now those companies made losses in 2023 and I’m not even sure they won’t do the same for 2024 . Imagine what the fate of shareholders who are hoping for dividend and share bonus will be like . Shebi it is even when they make profit they will declare dividend for shareholders . While GTB was selling shares few months back , one of their relationship managers who came to our office was trying to preach to me about what they are selling. . I just told her to save her breath and go hustle another person cos I will rather eat my money than give them to run their business in the name of “investing “ . Till date when she comes around , she still looks at me with one kind evil eye 😈

OkpaNsukkaisBae:There's a reason why I said it is the police investigation that can actually confirm what happened. Naija confra that usually post confirm updates on cult clashes (including the earlier one in Awka this week) claimed it is not a cult clash and that most of the victims are Hausa men. Abi Hausa man Don dey join cult for Anambra?
