Theflint1:😂😂😂 Except she’s Mohammed Ali who can really duck, there’s no way one of those projectiles would not have connected . |
I was out at a function yesterday but was able to follow the match at intervals on DSTV mobile . From the little I was able to watch , we didn’t play badly as I had thought prior to the match . Saka coming back was a major boost for us . Merino seem to be catching up with the pace of the EPL bar for that loose ball he gave away that Salah couldn’t score . White didn’t do bad in the absence of Saliba at all, it’s just unfortunate Gabriel had to join our ever growing injury list . Timber too gave account of himself in that left back and Salah was almost invisible for most part of the game . I hope as we are expecting Arteta to give the youth a chance , we also understand why he’s been skeptical about thrusting those youngings into key matches . Skalley came on vs Man city and Loserpool at 2-1 and both matches ended at 2-2 with both opponents working his side of the pitch to get the equalizing goals. NB: I’m not saying he shouldn’t give the youth a chance , but I can relate to why he’s been skeptical about doing that . I think Arteta made a huge mistake keeping Jesus and selling Nketiah instead . Also relying on Havertz alone as our top man upfront is not a wise decision at all. Most people criticized Arteta for starting Partey at RB but ended up praising Partey for his performance in that same RB yesterday . It just shows that a coach may be right at times and may also be wrong at other times . We don’t need to rubbish a coach completely before seeing the rationale behind his decisions . As for Martinelli , I don’t even know the solution to his problem at all |
Theflint1:That’s pettiness na. |
raumdeuter:I don’t know how it easy for people to just make that kind of generalization just like that . Funny thing is by Nigerian standards his own parents are considered to be successful SW people . I wonder if he will be cool if his old man is added to that kind generalization |
Theflint1:Unfortunately this is true . |
Ellexy:Nigeria is a funny place. The same police that detained the victim and seized his car are now playing to ghe gallery by arresting the perpetrator. We all know nothing will come out of the arrest. They are only doing this this to calm people down based on the wide outrage the incident has drawn. |
raumdeuter:Wetin be this? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Na wa for that egbon o. Does he enjoy getting dragged? |
raumdeuter:Yes o, I remember that guy. I think it was in a sexxxx toy shop he he even slapped the sales girl. The guy finished his term in the house of assembly and nothing happened. I doubt if this one sef will face any serious consequence for the assault. Our institutions are really weak. I watched the video of the bolt guy narrating what happened after the incident. He was later arrested and kept behind counter in the police station after writing his statement. The IPO went to the honorable's house to invite. When the honorable came he still kept shouting and threatening him in the police presence. The police in their "good judgement" seized the guy's vehicle eventually while the honorable went back home. Normally if our institutions were strong, the honorable should've been arraigned by now while the guy's vehicle is released to him so he can continue hustling. |
So this is the Albino version of Sam Larry that treated to unalive the bolt driver that went to deliver snail to him? But why do these people always get angry when people don't really know who they are or kowtow to them? 🤷♂️

Sportsweb:A violent man is a violent man Irrespective of his profession. |
raumdeuter:True, but if car yawa gas the resultant kasala can be managed. It's not the same thing for aircraft now. If aircraft develops fault mid air its death straight and no any ifs or buts |
Theflint1: ![]() Baba shey airspace wey dey Canada dey different from Nigerian airspace ni? If an aircraft fails mid air in Canada and aircraft fails mid air in Nigeria, the two planes will find themselves falling off the sky leaving families mourning. Aviation like Sea transportation is an international business . If u compromise safety standards and a crash results therefrom, It is is an indictment on the regulators. There was a reason I highlighted the part where it was mentioned that scrapped aircraft are expected to be sold for salvage or dismantled for parts. Such aircrafts should not be ferrying oil workers to an oil facility offshore . No matter how u look at it, this is mess up and an avoidable tragedy |
GloriousGbola:My mum would say “ kosi Abuja l’ọrùn ọ̀pẹ, ilẹ̀ l'ònbọ̀" ( There's no shortcut when falling from a plam tree, you are defitely coming straight down) 😂 |
iamoyindamola:😂😂😂 |
GloriousGbola:I know someone who bears the same surname, I just hope he’s not his brother . |
afrodoc2:Omo! He literally said he will make the guy disappear and nothing will happen . He even asked him to call IGP say nothing go happen . Just imagine if that guy becomes a governor of whatever state he comes from , people go surely see shege |
Theflint1:Baba they are totally different ! The company I work with owns an aircraft and I know the kind of safety standards the regulators expect from our company before the allow they aircraft to fly . A scrapped aircraft is not the same thing as an accidents Tokunbo vehicle that was written off as total loss in Canada or America but ur mechanic here in naija brings back to life . For starters , when a vehicle is accidents abroad and it is written off as total loss ; it’s solely for the purpose of getting insurance compensation . The vehicle is written off as total loss because the insurers abroad feel repairing the car is not economically reasonable . For example if the market value of the car is $2k and the cost of repairs if like $1.8k , the insurers will just pay u $2k , take over the scrap and sell it at an auction. Now a sharp Nigerian can buy the car for let’s say $400 ships it down here , have it cleared , have mutiu Mecho bring it back to life , sell it through a dealer as tokunbo and make a reasonable profit as per our exchange rate wahala . The vehicle will still be motorable bar for maybe the airbag that no longer works, engine check light etc. That is not the same thing with an aircraft or chopper that has been scrapped abroad . A scrapped aircraft means it does not meet the international air safety standard anymore . It should never be in the air. The fact that it’s flying within Nigerian airspace is an indictment on our regulators in the aviation industry . |
GloriousGbola:You did the right thing . If u had splashed the picture son social media , u would have been surprised how the pictures would be traced back to you. No matter how you hide and cover ur tracks while releasing the picture , if they are motivated enough they will commit all resources to trace it back to you and it certainly won’t end well. |
Afrodoc was right , an average Nigerian would oppress his or her fellow Nigerian with any little amount of power at his or her disposal
Just look at the comment section and see people suggesting the bolt guy gets what he deserved cos he must have disrespected the “honorable “🤦♂️ |
GloriousGbola:The crazy thing is Aig would not just sack that guy , but would use his influence to ensure the guy never gets employed by any top tier bank in naija again. |
Theflint1:Don’t take my post out of context please 🙏. I didn’t say that in isolation before some unreasonable people will come now and say I’m making excuse for DV . I literally gave a context to my post . Nigeria is a country where things are not done right. Nigeria is a country where pastors and family members urge an abused woman to mend fences of her home and not lose her home over allegations of cheating and the husband “asserting his authority with one or two slaps “. I am not in any way condoning what the man did , I’m only telling you that some of the people that will likely employ her in the future have a lot of skeleton in their cupboards and wouldn’t want to employ a woman they know is willing to build a case with evidence against them if they ever cross the line . That’s why I said she will surely get jobs in any company that observes global best practices at each point in time. But a company headed by some of our naija CEOs will find a way to avoid employing her . |
We don’t have natural disasters in this country , but we have man made disasters 🤦♂️ A chopper that was scrapped in 2018 in Canada ends up carrying NNPC officials in 2024 in Nigeria leading to a fatal crash. I would be seriously surprised if heads roll for this avoidable tragedy.

GloriousGbola:Thank you so much. I've downloaded the PDF gear and works just like I wanted. |
Itsrm:I use an iPhone , don’t know if it’s on IPhone AppStore. And I would even prefer the PC version sef |
GloriousGbola:Thanks |
@Gloriousgbola please do u have link to free version of nitro or any other free app that allows to edit and affix electronic signature to PDF without out having to print and physically sign the document ? |
iamoyindamola:Me too, it was the Ikeja outlet that caught my attention initially. That was why I was shocked when I messaged them and they denied existence of the Ikeja outlet . I guess it’s the bitterness that’s still worrying the owner |
GloriousGbola:The guy is a typical Nigerian start-up guy who believes because they nurtured the business idea and started it , they are allowed to do as they like with the seed capital from investors . They want to keep spending the company’s money like personal money and don’t want to be questioned for it. They forget once a business moves from being a sole proprietorship , you owe other co-owners explanations about managerial , financial and operational decisions . |
A40:It’s the society, the expectation the society places on some of these guys makes them to always want to conform with standards they are not up to. Everybody wants to be seen as that man with one wife and his beautiful family when in fact he has several sidechics he sees on a regular . Some may even be church workers , deacons and all sorts . They assume those roles but still Dey do their things on things in secret . Na when wife come know gbege go shele and before u know it , things may snowball into DV . I used to have two neighbors . One upstairs who is 100% streets . He’s lived in the UK wella and na Omo ignore. Then the other one is all these Christ embassy pastor but if you look well u will know he’s a pretender and he Dey do things . One time the street Egbon was telling me how the Christ embassy guy was always pretending and always doing like na him holy pass when he’s not. Apparently the Christ embassy guy one day went to a mall with his wife and while he was trying to check out , his wife went to get one or two things off the counter . Na so pastor Dey collect cashier lady number Dey sweet talk her not knowing the wife has returned . That was how the wife created a serious scene there . The embarrassed lady had to be forced to delete the number and spilled out the whole beans that it was the husband that made advances at her o, not like she was trying to collect madam’s husband . So eventually they left the place . Women being women , she somehow told the street egbon’s wife about the incident . Na so that one take tell the husband say she no know say her own husband even better pass that yeye Christ embassy man wey Dey form holy holy. She said she knows her husband will not disrespect her like that collecting number of a girl right in the mall where they both went to shop. In my mind I was now like ; why did that man choose to be a Christ embasssy pastor when he could have been a street niggga doing his things ? Now everybody expects some level of decorum from him but he can’t give what he doesn’t have , he just has to keep pretending . Funny enough a friend of mine had told me on 3 different occasions that he saw that Christ embassy man in our house with girls in his car inside their estate . He asked if I’m sure that man is a pastor and I just told him maybe he’s going to counsel the girls . |
GloriousGbola:You are partly right. She won’t get a job in a Nigerian owned company easily for the reason of being viewed as a snitch . You know there are some meeting u will be inside , they will discuss some things you are not really cool with but you don’t have a choice but to separate your conscience from doing your job of listening . For example she’s HR ; she may be in a meeting where they will be discussing how they need to pay some bribes to the police or a judge to have a case instituted by a staff against her company quashed . As part of your job u are expected to be in that meeting and be down with that management’s decision however unethical it may seem. Now having someone like her in that room will surely make her superiors uneasy cos they wouldn’t know if she’s recording or not. She will however get job in any international company where they will not judge her based on what happens or has happened in her personal life . |
If you are into business that involves partnership or intend to go into one, please read this and learn one or two from it. https://x.com/wizarab10/status/1850552117070573698?s=46 I didn’t even know there was trouble in paradise before now. Recently I wanted to a family eat out at a traditional themed restaurant and Ile-Iyan came to my mind. I messaged them on IG to ask about their services , opening/closing time , menu list , etc and I was shocked when I was told they only operate Lekki outlet and don’t have an Ikeja outlet. In my mind I assumed they probably closed down the Ikeja GRA outlet due to economic hardship and all. Few days later algorithm brought sponsored video of the Ikeja outlet and I was confused . I now discovered the Ikeja outlet was named Ile-Iyan by PODS while the Lekki outlet was named Ile-Iyan . I just guess they are two different outlets owned by two different owners . It was only when I saw the twitter thread that I fully understood what happened . Apparently they were initially business partners whose business relationship had gone sour and now they are in court slugging it out. |
iamoyindamola:I do tell people that if a man touches my female relative (either my daughter , sister or any close family relative ) and such man claims it’s because he was provoked ; I will arrange for him few soldiers to take him to barrack and provoke him big time. Now let’s watch how he will react to the soldiers provocation inside guard room. If the guy can go physical like this with his wife , only good knows the kind of emotional abuse he would’ve subjected some of his subordinates to. He may be one of those managers that will keep lambasting you and making you feel less about yourself just because you make a little mistake in a report . |
