Roland17: Also, instead of Kiwior, why not Zinny? Could we have played a back 3, keep the middle without losing our strength at the top? Why the hell were we playing that high? It cost us that Red card even though Saliba should have been smarter. Did we need 4CBs on a flat back line after the red? Merino was poor, he should have been taken off earlier than he did.
Local man is weak! Baba, Zinchencko is worse defensively when compared to Kiwior. I don't like Kiwior as a player but he's still defensively stronger than Zinchencko. I don't like the highline we played but I noticed we've always kept that kind of highline against bournemouth ; I don't know why. I don't have problem with the defense but I have issues with the midfield trio. Merino should've been benched for Nwaneri to give room for creativity in the middle. Even though Odegaard and Merino are left footed players, there is a gulf of quality attacking-wise between them. |

Fkhalifa: Coaching job no easy o
If he had drawn or stole a win....fans would applaud... If he had risked not replacing the CB and ended up with a cricket score....fans would still drag him ....it's a risk that didn't pay up They know these things, but anything to lash out at Arteta is always welcome ahead of objectivity. Arteta has his balmes for not getting some things right leading to the loss, but bringing in a defender to fix the hole left by Saliba is not one of those mistakes. It was the most logical and natural thing to do. We should be concerned about our players copping red card unnecessarily due to indiscipline issues. We should be worried that Arteta is not having a sit-down talk with these boys to make them see how those red cards can be the reason we might not lift a major trophy if they keep losing their cool. |

oliverano: It's always the most sensible thing to do when you're a man down with lots minutes to play. Take an attacker off and introduce a defender. Wenger did same with with Pires in 006, took the lead after the red and nearly won the UCL but of course, nearly does not kill a bird but the point still stands.
It's the issue with most fans, if arsenal attackers took their chances and then parked a trailer it's another three point but because the game is lost then you'll see different opinions.
Arteta did the right thing! We have fans here who always wait for Arteta to make a mistake and then lash out at him. Now the issue is that Arteta did not make a miskate with that sub like you rightly noted. If Arteta had decided not to take Sterling off and bring in a defender, it simply means one of our defenders will have to drop back to play as a CB. Arteta who trains the players probably knows none of our current midfielder can play CB for over one hour of football. It's only logical to bring in a defender to have a chance at putting up any fight with 10 men. |

iamoyindamola: Yes because we ended up conceding 2 And who says we won't concede more than 2 without a substitute CB? So u think having Sterling who didn't track back for most of the minutes he played would've made us score while Bournemouth will just forget we are one man down? We lost simply because our players are undisciplined once again. I will definitely blame Arteta for not instilling discipline in his players but I won't blame him for the sub that made logical sense. |

nateevs: You are the one running away from the point. So they rejected a two-state solution but you think it's irrelevant to know why.
Are you afraid of what you might find?
In 1937, way before the Balfour declarations. David Ben-Gurrion reportedly said.
"The Arabs will have to go, but one needs an opportune moment for making it happen, such as a war".
David Ben-Gurrion himself again in 1956 reportedly said:
Why should the Arabs make peace? If I was an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. Sure, God promised it to us, but what does that matter to them? Our God is not theirs. We come from Israel, it's true, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that?
This is freaking David Ben-Gurrion. But you think the Arabs are the problem. Why not tell us why the Arabs rejected having their own country just like the Jews embraced theirs? Have u ever thought if the Arabs were more reasonable and less thirsty for the blood of the Jews what they could've achieved in the present day world? Just would have their own government, dictate who wants to rule them, make progress in science and technology like the Jews did and can have as much allies as they want. Ask yourself : Why is it hard for the Arabs to coexist with the Jews? Why not put the interests of their people first, build a prosperous country and have a strong military that can defend their territorial sovereignty? Ben Guarion can say anything as a person, but once upon a time the Arabs had the chance of being a peace loving country coexisting with their Jewish neighbors; they chose the path of war and are reaping the spillover of that decision till date. |

nateevs: The problem I have found is that people only go as far back in History to a place that justifies their own talking points.
There is always history before your chosen starting points. Did you ever ask why they rejected the two- state solution in 1948? What history preceded this point? Am yourself genuinely and find answers.
Also, we are no longer in the Ottoman Empire sir. This is 2024. Wars may have consequences, but none of it should include the inhumane treatment of conquered. If you however want to keep people in perpetual captivity, then there are going to be people who are militant enough to respond Oct 7th style.
It's a normal human instinct, and you will do the same. You are just rinjjhvaway from the major issue I raised in my post. The Arabs had a chance of having a country of their own, governed by laws made for themselves and all that on a platter of gold. They threw it away and chose war instead. They are suffering the effects of losing a war they shouldn't have fought if they were less blood thirsty. You are talking about they being denied a whole lot of things when they threw those things away by losing a war. If anything, the Palestine situation should be a lesson for all that sometimes being aggressive and overrating one's ability can lead to generational suffering for one's decsndants. Hamas only added more suffering to their people's lot by the October 7th attack. I retierate again, the more Hamas terrorists keep using civilians as human shields, the more u will see casualty. Israel as a nation has chose not to be vowed by terrorists who would sit behind civilian population sending rockets into Civilian population in Israel. If they will not come out to fight the military, then the death of their fellow countrymen will be on their hands. After all, Hamas are known to execute their fellow Palestinians anyways. |

In the US where you live and in the UK where I live, that soldier will be court-marshalled. End of. No ifs, no buts. Nothing justifies that video. But I see that you are engaging in dehumanising people, so that murder in cold blood can be justified.
Israel ceded Gaza in 2005 but do you even know the conditions under which they live? 2m people on a strip land - the biggest open-air prison in the world, with no rights to work, travel, vote and no right to self-determination. Israel controls everything that goes into Gaza - Food, electricity, goods, even water.
Have you ever lived in a state where the neighbouring state controls the water to your house? But you guys expect Gazans to say Alhamdulilahi and be grateful? There will be push back, there will be resistance and there will be Hamas. Israel is the reason Hamas exists. Endof.
Before Oct 7th, there were over 3k Palestinians held indefinitely in Israeli prisons without charge. Not even charge of terrorism, which is their normal go-to. Whilst in custody, these people get beaten, tortured and raped. The soldiers who rape them are treated like celebrities in Israeli society. But you expect the people not to resist.
Hamas this Hamas that. Have you even familiarised yourself with Hamas' creation and Netnyahu's involvement? Wars have consequences bro. In 1947 the United nation's voted for the creation of two independent States coexisting side by side ; The Arab state of Palestine and the Jewish state of Israel. The Palestinians kicked against this and decided to go to war with the Jewish state believing they will conquer them with the help of their Arab brothers scattered all over the middle east. The Arabs lost the war and they have always had to deal with th consequence of losing a war. They had their lands annexed as spoils of war. You don't lose a war and start dictating how Ur conqueror will be treating u. There's no justification whatsoever for what happened on October 07 2023. The Palestinians crossed the line maiming children, women and thousands of civilians. You will continue to see casualty on the civilian side of Palestine as long as Hamas keeps using civilians as shields for their terrorist activities against the Jewish state. |
