raumdeuter: Its not that easy especially for a young teenager wey no get backup, get money or get influence. I have been in that situation before and we were oppressed badly because na only mouth we carry go gang fight
One of my friends was writing GCE, A set of guys outside the exam hall was trying to throw paper to their friend inside the hall. but the paper fell close to my friend and they started shouting to him to pick the expo paper and pass it to their friend, he didnt answer them rather kicked the paper away. After the exam see as the guy and his gangs like 12 descended on my friend
I was so angry and felt so helpless. At that point I would have done anything including juju to get even
There was also a guy that some area boys rapeed his sister. Think about this in Nigeria where you are helpless. Oppression can make you do some things
You never see where you go dey waka for street and some small boys go just stop you and tell you to remove your shirt sneakers and wristwatch say dem like am. You dey follow babe, some boys g tell you to kneel down for motion ground, you dey eat some go take away your meat or beer, you dey waka go some go just stop and obtain you
How many of this can a young man face before he decides that fvvck it, I cant take this anymore lets give them fire for fire Well, maybe because I've never been in such positions before sha. |

I know the street in Ikoyi ( Raymond Njoku) and that street is actually narrow even without hosting a party on the road. But I think only the Celebrant should've been arrested. The Celebrant is the one who brought every other person together, she's the one that should've been arrested have her name published. Like someone rightly said, I don't think they would've arrested Pasuma or K1 if either of them was the musician performing at the event. Neither will they arrest a popular food vendor like Hilda Baci. |

Professional football is just like every other profession. As a result of recent events, another question came up within my mind. The national grid has collapsed twice (maybe thrice?). Does this affect Band A areas/customers as well? If yes, what's the severity like? Lessened or as everyone else?
Thank you. The national grid collapse affects everybody from Band A to Band Z. Once the national grid cannot supply the Disco's, obviously the Dicso's will be unable to supply their customers on the respective bands. Once the national grid is restored, the Band A people will be amongst the first set of people to be prioritized by the Disco's to get supplied before any other group of customers. |

Nigeria supplies Togo, Benin 24-hour power supply – TCN
The Managing Director and CEO of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, Sule Abdulaziz, has disclosed that Nigeria supplies 24-hour electricity to neighbouring countries Togo and Benin, amid ongoing discussions in the country following a recent power grid collapse.
“We supply Togo, Benin, and Niger. They get power from Nigeria on a 24-hour basis, and they are paying for it,” Abdulaziz stated during an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Tonight program on Sunday. https://punchng.com/nigeria-supplies-togo-benin-24-hour-power-supply-tcn/How do we supply Benin & Togo 24 hours power supply and we don't have same in Nigeria? |

Not to talk of when you hold small money you re ready to spare..
People join cult because of youthful exuberance, show offs and peer pressure..
Although some people join because of oppression from cultist but it's the most lamest excuse I've ever seen for one to join cult I agree with you on the bolded 100%. Joining a cult group because of oppression is the dumbest excuse anyone can give for joining a cult. One stupid guy that I watched his interview after he was arrested in Ogun state, he claimed he joined cult because middlemen were always running away with his yahoo money knowing he can't do them anything as a jew. So he joined cult to forstall that. Unfortunately for him, he didn't even spend more than few months as member before a killing happened and the police anti-cultism group went on arrest spree. Na so dem arrest the weyrey without enjoying any benefits from the cult |

One thing I respect wike for was taming cultism in PH, I wish all state governors can follow his footsteps. Ogun and Edo is becoming something else, I doubt 80% of their youths will stay up to 45 years alive I think federal government needs to help the state government. Let them pass law that criminalizes all these celebrities promoting cultism in their music audio and videos. Some youth join different cult groups simply because of how entertainers glamorizes cultism and how some of them use it to oppress others in the industry. For example someone like Yhemolee attended OAU where cultism was almost non existent. He became a celebrity and was still flexing till it was alleged one other guy who is also Gee slapped him at an event over an altercation because that one belongs to a cult group. That was what made him to enter bush to belong after escaping cultism all through higher institution. . I never see that kind mumu reasoning before in my life. |

There have series of bloody cult clashes in Edo state earlier this year, there have been killings and counting of scores in Abeokuta, Ogun state, there have been recent bloody cult clashes in Benue state, there was a recent cult shootings at IMSU. Even recently there was cult clash between Iyana Ipaja boys and Agege boys. In that Lekki axis too, those boys have been killing themselves like fowl.
I even read recently of a cult shooting in Nasarawa state.
If you follow naijaconfra on Twitter, u will see constant updates about cult clashes. Their Telegram channel is filled with gory pictures and videos of cultists' dismembered bodies ; you would even see video of cultists beheading rival members on camera.
Even though different state police commands formed anti-cultism units, those ones usually abandon their jobs of arresting cultists and be focusing on extorting any young person they a cost on the road. Although some of the anti-cultism units too have arrested wanted criminals.
I watched the interview of one of the cultists they arrested recently, the guy was the one that killed one rival member at Ijoko, Ogun State and hung the guy's head on Ijoko bridge in broad daylight. When he was arrested, he claimed he beheaded the guy because he killed his own younger brother who was a number one. That's how they keep killing each other till there nobody left to remember scores |

Some of us know senior men who have been unable to move ahead because of educational qualification barrier . Some of us have friends who currently regret they didn’t see their academic program through because we see openings we wished we can recommend them but they do not have the qualification . We simply don’t want him to be in such awkward position in the future . We are talking from naija point of view and not abroad where educational qualification doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things in the labour market . mostob: Saliba's red card did more damage than a lot of fans think taking the Liverpool game into context. I was looking forward to having Timber (if Tomi is not fit) at LB to neutralize Salah. But now we will be forced to play Calafiori which to me is very very risky. The other option is to play either Rice or Partey in defence which is a big No! But some fans wanted the aged Partey to play CB or RB yesterday . The same Partey we all have been clamoring Arteta not to use in defence ever again. The way those Bournemouth fast and physical attackers go take rush am ehn….. Whether we like it or not, all the matches we’ve lost points this season have been due to our players getting red carded through indiscipline . The surest way to get us out of this mess is for the management team to talk to the players to avoid those red card incidents as much as they can. We need to show discipline , we cannot be swallowing red cards every match and expect 10 men to always triumph over 11 men. That’s like hoping for miracles. At game week 8 , we already have 3 red cards in 3 different matches . Indiscipline will be our bane this season if we don’t watch it. Our Fullbacks too are always copping useless yellow cards for wasting time taking rubbish throws. These are the areas we should be tackling Arteta’s team and not just be forming narratives in our head just to show we are not Arteta’s fan no matter what he does |

Roland17: I agee with you on Zinny overall but in this game, Kiwior added absolutely nothing, if anything he was just as much of a burden defensively like Zinny would have and added nothing offensively, so what value did he bring? Arteta could have played a back 3 if he wasn’t bringing Zinny in.
The high line we are talking about is nothing new, I have seen it severally this season. Arteta pushes his luck with it and sets up our defenders to fail because it is ridiculously high. There is high line and there is Arteta high line. I mean, our defenders were playing at the center circle!
Remember the Bayern game in the UCL? It is this same very high line where he was trying to force the issue and Bayern punished us severely. I am recalling only the Bayern game because it was consequential. You don’t force a high line when you don’t have creative players to open your opponents.
We needed to play a balanced game, especially after going down. If we did, I believe we would have given ourselves a chance to steal the game in the final quarter or minutes of this game.
At our worst, either because of injuries to core players, change in tactics, caution (red card), we need to trust that Arteta can be the identifiable difference in securing all 3 point. I agree the highline was terrible and our attacking players should be doing better. I also think the 3 major changes of Merino starting, sterling starting and white replacing Timber on the RB position impacted negatively on our entire output as a team. Arteta takes the blame certainly for that. I believe if Saliba was confident of Whites ability he ought not to have fouled Evanelson leading to his red card. I just hope the team learnt their lessons and we bounce back with or without injury returnees' boost. |
