The cylinder had already exhausted it's contents so no need to fear again. Even people record burning vehicles with LNG before it explodes talkless of this one that had already eaten the back of the motor. CNG is a little cheaper in this hard times but deadly if the safety precautions are not followed religiously, any small gbege and you have a ticking time bomb in your vehicle.

The trauma of surviving that scare will never make me stand there and be making videos or running commentary. Na house straight or make I go find cold stout drink to cool down.

I didn't make any shady deals. The last transactions I did was #500 transfer I made to someone as payment for a service. I am not into frauds nor do I make transactions with fraudsters. I only use the account for receiving upkeeps and paying my bills

Hmmm... Let's hope somebody did not send u money from an account that has been flagged to be fraudulent sha. U know maybe a relative who sends u money may have gotten the money through illegal means and the funds is now traced to ur account.

I remember earlier this year there was a case of hackers stealing funds from Access bank and then proceeding to buy crypto from p2p traders on Binance. Those p2p traders were innocent, they received credit for the worth of crypto they sold to the hackers. Unfortunately, when Access found out they got a court order freezing all the accounts the monies were traced to including the p2p traders' account. U never can tell if it is something similar.

Try and go to ur bank and request to see the branch manager. I don't think customer agents can solve ur problem sha

Nothing wey Nigerians no fit dagbo, and that's where the big issue is. The cost for conversion is very high and most Nigerians obviously can't afford it.

Now the problem is: How do u identify who dagbo and sho didn't when u are all diving on the road? I just hope we won't have any major disaster with this CNG mad rush. I can't imagine a vehicle exploding on high speed on third mainland bridge or on the River Niger bridge.

Morning respected elders of this thread.

I've been unable to make any financial transactions on my Opay account since the past 2 weeks (can't receive/send money nor use the ATM). I got a message that my BVN is been watchlisted that I should contact the bank where I enrolled to resolve it. I've been to zenith bank where I enrolled for the BVN but the only help I got was that the watchlist is from NIBSS (Board of Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc). I tried contacting NIBSS, sent a couples of mails and their responses were that I should visit my bank. I went back to zenith and was told to check back and no solutions had been provided yet.

I'll appreciate any help or suggestions in resolving this matter 🙏

Hope u didn’t receive illicit funds or funds that passed through a tagged account before getting to ur account?

For example if a one chance operator robbed people and transfers money from their accounts to his own account. The moment those victims report to their banks of fraudulent transfer with police report and court order ; the robbers’ account will be under watch .

If the robber somehow uses that money to buy something from u ( a very honest businessman) before his account gets flagged , they can trace that fund to ur account, and it will cause this kind of issue for u.

This is me assuming u are not involved pin any shady deal or fraud/Yahoo o

Na wa for this Wigwe family matter.

From the little I can gather fromm the news publication, the late Wigwe's father asked one of his cousins to submit an affidavit to Ikeja probate court registry .

He's complaining about the role Aig-Imoukhuede has been playing taking care of late Wigwe's kids and that Aig did not provide him a list of all assets of the late Wigwe. The author of the article is interpreting it to mean an attempt by the father to alter the provision of the will which leaves all his assets to his kids.

The way I see it, the father may not really need the money but his other children who are Late Wigwe's siblings may be trying to use the father fight for something for themselves out of the fortune he left behind. They probably don't believe he will not leave them anything.

Or maybe they don't trust Aig in disclosing all the assets late WIgwe may have within and outside the country. But what I know about Wills & Trusts is that the deceased would've listed all his assets while he's preparing the will/trust and when it is time to execute the will, the executors will be the ones to harvest all the assets . So I really don't understand the family's problem.

Me, i dey very paranoid about things like that. I go don put on the gen at least 15 mins before the interview and relax to use it. One kind of story that i hate most in my life is stories that touch.

It’s because our light has a very constant time table . Out of 100days , u can accurately predict 90 days we will have light and u will be right. Funny thing is the light was restored before I finished the interview sef but I had to finish with the gen before changing over .

Since that day tho, I don’t take chances anymore

That got me prepared as fück for the next interview. I make sure say i sub MTN, Airtel, Glo and Starlink with my two phones and my babe own.

I setup portable inverter with big and small gen on standby (just incase werey wan move mad).

For the noisy compound kids, i got a contingency plan for the little muthafuckas too. Sound proofed my windows and doors ahead of time. Added a rechargeable fan to backup the AC in case of failure and added noise cancelling sound setup (you must hear me loud and clear)

I no wan hear say Nepa use dem uselessness spoil once in a lifetime opportunity

Different strokes, I've been using my 12kva for business everyday for the past year. 50kg of gas at 65,000 per 6 days saves me much more money than 39,000 for 30L of Diesel per day and 36,000 for 30L of fuel per 2 days. Repairs have been as regular as the repairs I was carrying out while using Pms. Infact the money I'm saving now by using LPG allows me to carry out repairs without squeezing my face, or laying curses on the technicians. I don't know what I'm doing differently, I can't pinpoint any special precautions, the gen runs from 6pm to 10pm and then from 5am to 9am every day.

Now this is a positive testimony.

Could u please help confirm if ur gen was quite old when u did the conversion or not so old . This will help test GloriousG’s theory that perhaps it’s very old generators that may have issues with LPG conversion .

this was my experience years ago

i bought a 1kva or maybe 1.5 kva gen. the type with no wheels. i put it on and it immediately started vibrating and moving - so i understood what the tire was for.

but these generators with wheels they stay n place. at most they vibrate if you start up a load. and then continue as before.

that is my own experience though.

i ran my generators off lpg for 6+ months in 2015 /16

i have been running them on and off with LPG or petrol since last year

i am currently running off LPG soley for the past two weeks

my key experience was that older already abused generators burn through a cylinder faster

the picture did not even make sense to me because it is the smaller generators that need to sit on a tire. the bigger ones are stable and already have dampers that stop them from shaking. then you have the cylinder right beside the generator with a long hose

unfortunately my default response is to disbelieve anything i see on nigerian twitter

My own generator which is almost same size(or bigger ) and model with the Fireman in the first pic also sits on a Tyre o.

It’s sitting on Tyre just for balance and nothing else tho.

i am running my gen off lpg right now

all i will say is it is best f you have a new generator

a generator costs like 300k to 500k - a solar installation is upwards of 5m.

so i take these stories of i replaced my petrol gen with solar with a handful of salt

Well, I checked the man who made the claim out and he does look like someone who has nothing to gain making up such stories .

He doesn’t look like the regular clout chasing twitter user sha .

Maybe because I’m an advocate of learning from other people’s mistake sha . I tend to give this kind of opinion full attention lest I become the one advising people not to make the same mistake I made

if you are buying fuel for gen, at over 1k/litre, you are better off with lpg. there is an nnpc cng station close to one of our sites, i am going to likely check it out tomorrow. since the carburator is supposed to be dual cng/lpg

Sometimes u have a contingency plan and it almost fails .

I once had an online job interview which nearly went south due to NEPA wahala . I took the day-off from work that day and decided I will take the interview in my parlor .

I was very sure we would have light throughout the duration of the interview because we usually have light from around 6am till maybe 3pm. Notwithstanding, I still arranged fuel inside gen in case of any yawa.

I had already knotted my tie on my sparkling white shirt . I was seated in front of my laptop giving myself the die minute mental boost 10 minutes to the interview ; na so NEPA strike .

I quickly rushed down stairs to fire the generator , the moment I got back upstairs the gen just tripped off. I went back downstairs fired the gen again and within 2 minutes it was off. I wan craze .

I was literally speaking to my generator like an animate object “ iwo gen yi o de Jo now “ ( This gen abeg na ) 😁

Somehow the gen heard me and just started working properly . By the time I got back upstairs to settle down , the interview time had already gone by 15 minutes . I was lucky the interviewers had more than one candidate to attend to. So they had already started with another candidate while I waited in the lobby . Eventually I did well at the interview but everything could’ve gone south when agent NEPA struck .

I agree with the entirety of your post, however, it is important to say that a total lack of trust in the Judiciary is breeding this sentiment amongst a large segment of the population, not necessarily ignorance or illiteracy of the law.

The Judiciary in Nigeria is massively corrupt and now impose themselves arbitrarily, causing chaos and confusion in the country. Institutions like the Police also suffer when it comes to enforcement of the law after interpretation.

There is absolutely no integrity in our judicial process, consequently, the masses will always question any unpopular decision even if it is the right decision.

Our institutions have to do better!

Yeah , I understand the judiciary is a mess.

But let us look at it this way again; If majority of the people have a fair idea of what is legal and what is unlawful , it will go a long way in cleansing our minds . We will know when the judiciary is doing the right thing and when judicial rascality is being displayed in full glare .

At least let people know what right they have which the constitution guarantees and the right of others which they are not expected to breach lest they get docked for it.

That’s why I believe an adult who passes through a university system should spend at least 2 semesters to learn about the law as to how it affects him and other members of the society .

I think government should make it compulsory for all higher institutions to teach all students General principles of Law for at least one year.

The amount of ignorance about the law one keeps seeing people exhibit on social media on a daily basis is alarming.

The judge has ordered him(VDM) to take down the defamatory material ( as it should be) and now people are claiming it's bullying...... Falana has something to hide.... Blah.... Blah...🤦‍♂️

The fact that a lot of graduates are reasoning like that is worrisome. It simply means a lot of people in this country don't even know when they break the law and will still be speaking big grammar claiming they are not wrong while they are on the brink of a jail term.
