Dude you're not known for shifting the goalpost.
I wasn't shifting goalpost, I was only pointing it out that the real people who decides are those individual countries like USA, UK, France, China, etc.

For example if the UN says they want to impose economic sanctions on Israel today, by the time USA, UK and France commot their hand u will discover such plans will amount to nought.

True, however much they say Oluomo is a thug and whatnot, he's always made a conscious effort to posture like a respectable member of society, I've never seen any picture or video of Mc Oluomo with a gun...I remember they shot him a few years back, but that's as much as I know of him personally involved in violence... the man always makes effort to code. Compare that with a Kabaka or say an Asari Dokubo, and it's something else entirely....those guys would in their 70s still be forming hard man.

I think these thugs that don't try to code their thugging would find it hard to completely insulate their kids from the game, plus there are kids that however much you try would sha want to be involved in family biz.
Well, dem MC Oluomo cleaned up long time ago. You would hardly see any top Agbero who has made it to the pinnacle of their thuggery business move around with arms and ammunition.

It is their foot soldiers that do the fighting for them once they move up the food chain. You would rather see police escort with MC Oluomo than see him brandishing guns and knives himself.

I guess in the Niger Delta u must show what u've got before people fear u on the streets. Maybe that's why dem Tompolo, Asari, Kabaka , etc always move with arms and ammunitions.

I'm not deviating. ANC took up arms, in other words they accepted violence and killing to achieve their goals. That was when the apartheid sympathisers tagged "Mandela" as a terrorist. Same way Hamas is fighting an armed struggle.

According to United Nations, Hamas is a political movement. Nothing else.
The United Nations is literally a paper tiger. Majority of the countries with real power and veto power actually do regard Hamas as a terrorist group.

If you think U.S. foreign policy completely changes depending on the party in power, then you have more to learn. Who do you think voted weapons for Ukraine and Israel? The U.S. Senate comprised of both parties.

[Kamala is only playing to the gallery to win diversity votes, and I understand. But if she wins, the U.S. Middle East policy wouldn't dramatically change.
They'd just use middlemen. NATO is a willing tool.

There isn't much difference between the Biden, Obama, and Trump administration dealing with Israel. Israel got weapons under all three POTUS. And tactically protects Israel from the Hague too.
The bold is what I think too.

I am thinking that Israel is rushing this war just in case Kamala wins. A win for Kamala will dial back US support for Israel
Can the US actually do without the Jews ?

To me, it seems more like their relationship is beneficial to both parties and with either Kamala or Trump in power Israel will always have the backing of America .

I may be wrong tho

Libyans were docile until foreign forces decided its Otoge for them. We can argue that if foreign forces didnt decide its time for Gadafi to go, He would still be there till today
Well, it can also be argued that had the Arab spring not happened the foreign forces would not have had any justification for supporting rebels that took him out.

More like the Arab spring made them less docile before the foreign forces gave them muscle

The fact that the draw felt like a loss to us and win to City shows that the shit from Rodri and Bernado na trash.
Don’t mind Bernardo jare , most of those city players want Arsenal to open yansh for them so they can load us with goals like they usually do in the past. That’s why they have been wailing about the outcome of the match .

Brighton
Tottenham
Mancity
Aston Villa
In 5 games and we are only 2 point adrift of Mancity

The other tough games are
Liverpool
Chelsea
Fulham
ManU
Newcastle and Brendford

Finger crossed.
This is why I don't want to say anything yet to those rival fans dancing macabre dance here and there chatting shiii.

I want them to play their own respective tough games let us see how they will fare .

Under Emery and later stage of Wenger's days we would've lost two or three of those matches up there.

In 2016, towards the end of his presidency, Obama admitted during an interview that interfering in Libya was the worst mistake of his administration, and if he could go back in time he'd have done things differently.

As a Nigerian, the fall of Benghazi (Libya's military capital and armoury) heralded the complete militarization of West Africa and the destabilization of Nigeria.
Pre-2010 (before the Arab Spring which also incurred into North Africa), Boko Haram was no more than a ragtag group of disgruntled religious fanatics. Libya fell as Obama armed the rebels and the stockpile of weapons filtered down South.

Today, the whole of West Africa is battling with terrorism - Nigeria, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Chad... Boko Haram splintered into ISWAP, and grey areas with Herdsmen. Today they are top 7 deadliest terrorist groups in the world.

My dislike for America's Left began thus. Dislike for Obama, Hillary, and Biden... It stems from a chain of events resulting into my country becoming a haven of bombs going off everyday and people being slaughtered for the flimsiest reasons. I do not hide my dislike for Obama for this reason, including on the wider internet

Please, sir, don't try to excuse away what happened to Gaddafi. If he hadn't fall, West Africa and Nigeria would have been better off security-wise. And that in turn would have not affected our socioeconomics like it's doing today.
Obama realized this and stopped trying to topple Assad of Syria.

Gaddafi's death was orchestrated by outside forces. This much is public knowledge. Now I have to deadened my empathy so I can function well enough every time I read of entire communities being slaughtered in Borno State by Boko Haram and ISWAP.

Don't defend Gaddafi's killing, sir.
I am not excusing Gaddafi's killing and I wish to maintain my stand that Gadaffi had it coming.

Since I was much younger I have been following the events in Libya long before the Arab spring ever happened. I remember during Obasanjo's tenure when some Nigerians were deported from Libya. My dad's work place was within the Murtala Muhammed airport, Lagos.

We heard firsthand news about situation of things in Libya from the deported Nigerians back then. Some of them narrated how strict the kind of dictatorship Gaddafi ran in Libya. As muslims, immidiately after Solat prayers end u are expected to leave the mosque within the next minutes. No form of gathering is allowed, if u decided to stay behind to do personal prayers u would be arrested by Gaddafi soldiers enforcing the law. They believe any form of gathering means u want to scheme to overthrow Gaddafi. Yes, he was that insecure amongst his own people. There was serious human right abuse and so many people locked up in jail for misdemeanors that do not even exist in a free society.

The Arab spring happened in Tunisia, Gaddafi would not keep his mouth shut and the people he has oppressed for years joined hands with Western powers to topple him.

As much as the West had a hand in his overthrow and eventual death, Gaddafi himself was the architect of his demise.

Abeg Cameroon president have been in power for how many years? How's the economy of Cameroon? Why is NATO not sponsoring regime change in Cameroon?
The Royal Family in Qatar has been in power since the 1970s, more than 50years. When will NATO preach democracy/free and fair elections to these countries? Once you give them free access to your oil and other natural resources, the West don't give a flying fvck anymore about democrcay, fundamental human rights and free and fair elections
Cameroun nationals are docile and that's the only reason why a 91 year old that is almost shitting himself is still their president in 2024. The Libyans are obviously not as docile as that.

It can be argued that the Americans interfered in Libya's internal affairs but a man who has ruled for 32 years with unemployment rate at 30% definitely didn't do himself any favors either

Maybe not violence for violence, bribe for bribe but efforts could have been more....Kwanks didn't bribe NNPP voters in kano
Kwankwanso is a wrong example in this case. Kwankwanso was NNPP presidential candidate in 2023 general elections and that rubbed off on NNPC's gubernatorial candidate. You can say same happened for Obi & Oti in Abia state.

This is an off cycle election; things are not the same.

I would welcome ur suggestion for a more suitable candidate in LP from Edo Central.

Blueraydick have you started industry
In ep 1 the guy's death reminded me of a story I read in LinkedIn
An Indian girl died while working with EY and the mother was dragging and blaming them for her death saying her hardworking daughter was under serious pressure that she doesn't sleep or rest
Some other Indian influencers milk the story too

The series is nice sha I never thought I will enjoy it but since I know it's HBO, nudity go they 😂😂
But it's actually educating especially the finance industry
The key actor(harper) is a doppelganger of a former colleague the resemblance is fvcking much just that she's still in 9ja
I started the show over the weekend and I'm enjoying it already. It reminded me of a friend who had a toxic boss that almost frustrated his life because that my friend no too get power to deal with that much emotional stress. I keep reassuring him things will get better and advising him on what and what to do to ease the pressure. He got lucky the boss got promoted and transferred to another arm of the company. My friend who almost resigned out of frustration later enjoyed his stay in the company with juicy benefits .

I also read the story about the EY lady and it is quite sad. Even people working with the big 4 in Nigeria attested to the fact that the job robs people of their social life and can be so demanding. I felt the mother's pain in that letter to the chairman of EY in India.

The good thing about that mother's letter is that EY and the rest of the big 4's will look inward and come up with measures to make their work environment less toxic for their employees.

Thank you. At least we agree on one thing today. Which type of footprint do you want to see? Like they should start acting like incompetent American citizens who're minding their business??

Somewhere in 2017, Trump threatened to impose sanctions on any country doing any type of transactions with DPRK.

If Gaddafi had such foresight, build up the Libyan defense industry. He wouldn't have been murdered in the market Square which turned Libya to a sh!thole country ravaged by insecurity.
Gaddafi had it coming. He ruled for 32 years, it's only normal that his citizens who feel disgruntled with his dictatorship rule over the years will rebel against him. The unemployment rate was at 30% when the Arab spring wind blew across Libya and claimed his life.

No amount of investment in defence industry will save u from that.

Make we tell ourselves true talk, will this win election? He was suppose to stamp his authority as a leader, listen to the grassroots and he'd know there was an Edo central 2024 agenda going on and don't give in to Akpata's greed and selfishness who might be using LP as a stepping stone to move to PDAPC,all the money he dey waste for northerners wey no like am and send him papa, would have been channelled to the Edo's election, learn from Grv 's experience by employing and paying party agents, mobilize financial,on ground support from LP's candidate and otti especially....

This election was there for the taking for Lp especially as majority of the accredited voters didnt turn up,na voters that would have swinged for Lp be that but the leader himself was lukewarm and no ginger everybody for the party...
Wait let me really undertand something about this Edo central agenda and how Akpata became LP candidate in the election.

1. Was there a more qualified Edo central candidate that was more qualified than Akpata at the LP primaries?

2. Does Peter Obi have the power as a presidential candidate of LP to determine who becomes LP gubernatorial candidate in Edo state?

3. Do u think Obi imposing a candidate other than Akpata would've changed the outcome of the election when we all agreed PDP and APC both paid respective voters willing to vote for them?

4. Do u think whoever Obi had endorsed other than Akpata would've gone gone bar for bar, aura for aura, violence for violence and bribe for bribe vs PDAPC?

Your statement sounds like you're not even apportioning any blame to Obi.

I see this as another glaring failure of Obi's leadership or rather glaring lack of one.

To say Obi is a disappointment is a really big understatement. We've lost yet another potential winnable election if the right steps have been taken since after the general elections.
It's as if you guys can't understand the potential level of power and influence this guy could wield.

Obi has failed in galvanising the labor party as a very solid block. The party and it's members are withering away while man flexes with the elites. The same people we try to root out of our political spaces.

I am highly disappointed in Obi.
If this man directed the party in one direction rather than the autopilot it seems to be on. You won't see a divided fan base who are just exhausted with politics.
Quick One: If u were Obi's shoes, kindly explain to us what u would've done differently. I mean explain to us u would've galvanized Labour party to win Edo state Governorship election.

One thing that is very evident is the fact that whatever technology the North has, the common citizens of the north don't feel. Unlike the south where almost everyone (including those in villages) feel the impact of the technological advancement of the south & its attendant economic prosperity.

What's the essence of a country being technological advanced, and her citizens are not feeling it?

If you go by the opinion of Western media outlets, all North Korean youths does is work in labour camp, agricultural farmlands, factories day and night , no rotation, .
You should watch the series " Crashlanding on you" .

From the view presnted by that series, North Korea is not as bad as South Korea things(and by extension the west); also North Koreans get fascinated by the advancement in technology in the South when they enter the south.

I find it awkward that a Blackman will care about what the south thinks about the south and vice versa. I also don't think a Blackman should care whether both countries pander to the east or the west.
