I remember around 2013,2014,2015…. these aptitude tests were being shared freely by kind hearted nairalanders on the job section to encourage young graduates. It’s surprising that most people who got it free back then are now selling it now.

It is normal for people like Ndume to wail because of selfish interest na, but sacking of someone like Kyari is actually justifiable aswear.

Anytime there's fuel scarcity, the guy will just release one yeye press release that doesn't even address the cause of the scarcity. He will just be using ambigious terms.

Just look at how the head of secret service in America was asked to resign for the incompetence of hER subordinates. That's how people holding sensitive positions like Kyari ought to be held accountable

NNPC is a private company owned by federal government and the power to hire and fire anybody on the board lies with the minister of petroleum in person of Tinubu himself

I disagree with this.

While we are buying fuel for N568 at NNPC's official pump price in the south, they have buying for close to N700 in the north. Only God knows how much they will be buying it now.

There is serious hardship in this country and the northerners are actually worse hit.

Nigeria is an import dependent country where most imported goods berths in the south before being transported down to the north. The transportation cost and multiple taxation in form of "settling" security operatives on the road has already made some items out of the reach of common man.

For example, if we in Lagos are complaining about the cost of car tyres, spare parts, engine oil, etc....What do u think the cost will be in the north after those parts are transported to the north?

I don't even understand why Pro-government groups and supporters are pretending as if all is well in the country and that the people crying hardship are just mischief makers.

After all the other "juicy" post has gone to SW, if he removes Mele Kyari and put another Southerner, the cries and marginalization of the North go enter another overdrive.

I really don't buy this school of thought honestly. After Emefiele's sack, the next person that deserved sack the most is Mele Kyari, there's no justification as to why he still has a job. The NNPC has several high ranking northerners still within the organization if it is about not wanting to appoint a southerner in his stead.

The guy messed up all through Buhari's tenure and he's still messing up till date.

We've lost count of the number of times we've had fuel scarcity while he's the NNPC GMD. The guy just keeps issuing apology every now and then for NNPC's mess up under his watch.

Imagine spending 3-4 hours on fuel queue only to buy at fuel for as much as N900/liter

Why does Mele Kyari still have a job as NNPC GMD ?

Does he have Tinubu’s noods or what ?

That guy had messed up as NNPC all through Buhari’s tenure and has continued with his incompetence under Tinubu. I don’t see any rational reason why he still has a job till date .

I mean if the MD of a company constantly posts bad figures, the board/owners would’ve longed sacked him and replace him with someone else who can steer the affairs of the company in the right direction 🤦‍♂️

What if they were spending more when electricity wasn't stable

They are obviously not using prepaid meter . Whether light is stable or not, the electricity distribution company will send them whatever they feel they should pay.

By the way, I don’t think the school management will be lementing if they paid more when electricity was not stable .

This so called stable electricity people are talking about, I’m yet to see it. The electricity supply for my side has remained the same for the past 3 years and got worse this year .

So, apparently due to Band A electricity tariff hike, Babcock university paid a whopping N300m as electricity bill for the month of May 2024.

With this kinda cost, how do u expect private businesses to succeed ?

And before you say “ why can’t they have a CNG power plant to generate their own electricity as a university “ , please note that even Aba power plant now faces challenge of inadequate gas supply .

so i was in a convo about dangotes refinery and the gist seems to be
1) the refinery is NOT ready
2) significant amounts of cash are required for the refinery to be full operational
3) the refinery had overruns from 300 to 500% because of a pennywise pound foolish approach to construction



Dangote needs cash to complete his refinery.
he is out of cash and overextended.
he wants to raise cash by selling product, but he cant because his refinery is not ready.
the rumours of him wanting to sell the refinery may then be true - because it will be hard for him to secure dollar loans without any government support.

no wonder he has aged overnight.

So now we finally agree Dangote’s cry is about monopoly and not that NMDPRA wants to kill his refinery before it starts .

By the way , I have a feeling Otedola most likely invested a sizable amount of money into Dangote’s refinery as well. That’s why he’s making social media posts supporting his friend

Those about to die is mediocre when rating Ancient Rome series. Both the storyline and the writing/dialogue are lacking.

The cinematography and CGI are not very good.

Ok watch (if you have nothing else to watch) ? Yes.
Good watch? No.

The problem is u are measuring it with other great Ancient Rome movies . For me I see the storyline as deliberately made different by the writers .

They were able to portray hate , jealousy, scheming , strife , cunningness ,and other human characters without dwelling so much on the physical fights that characterized Ancient Rome movies .

I agree the fight scenes are not all that ( which may likely due to the budget for the movie itself ) , but I am Not really a fan of the fight scenes and shed of blood in Rome movies ; so it’s not a biggie for me.

The show may not be on that Spartacus level , but I like the fact that they were real in some aspects . For example , the way Kwame has escaped being killed in the arena , it is real. They didn’t just make him a hero that was favored by providence like was done to Spartacus ; rather he has survived thus far due to either his mum poisoning the drink of his opponent ( who definitely has the ability and training to kill him ) or an emotional emperor saving his asss just to spite his brother .

At least, they should be open about it and stop deceiving subscribers.

They should state their current price and let subscribers decide.

I think NCC stopped them from increasing their prices . So they found a means of self-help for them to stay in business .

I listened to a program on radio last month and the guest was the head of an umbrella body for telecoms operators( can’t recall the exact name the body is called ). The man mentioned it that every other businesses have adjusted their prices in line with current economic reality, but telecos cannot do that without NCC raising eyebrows.

I believe that must be the reason they’ve been doing hanky panky with their data and airtime nowadays

The truth is a lot of people have resorted to the BBS - Beg, Borrow or Steal. That’s how a lot of people on the lower rung in Nigeria are surviving now .

It’s no longer unusual for you to receive a call from these soft loan companies telling you to tell someone to pay his or loan he has refused to pay. They borrow from different soft loan companies just to feed and don’t have means to pay back.

Then u also have people that will come to u and ask u to lend them money . The money they will obviously not pay back because they don’t have the means to do.

Petty theft and stealing on a large scale has increased recently . Recently I saw a video on social media in which a car owner was lamenting bitterly . He parked his car in front of his compound overnight and it was vandalized . They removed every removable from the vehicle and didn’t stop there . They literally removed the tyres of the Toyota where it was parked . How they were able to pull it off I don’t even know .
